How does it compare to the Boox Nova Pro? Especially on note taking, accuracy for the handwriting recognition, and note syncing capabilities. Thank you!

Thanks for your great review as always. Could you tell the audience which one is a better buy for 7.8" ebook... Likebook Ares OR Boox Onyx Nova 2 ? What are the advantages and disadvantages of them? Thanks a lot!
is this model has a reboot boton? the one mines doesn't power on, it was worked perfectly and one day doesn't power on anymore, the power boton lighs on but doesn't power on. I dont know what can i do.
Enjoy your videos. Really like the E INK tech. Bought this recently to replace my notebook for work and I'm impressed. Purchased May, 2020 there have been some interface updates. What I didn't expect is that it'd replace my other reading device, my Amazon Kindle. This device is good. What I didn't expect is when using A2 mode the browser is totally usable, it is after all an android tablet at its core (have toggle on some services). I read an untold number of articles online, at the cost of my eyes staring at a glowing screen, headache. This device does online articles using the browser perfectly well, and that paper look is awesome. Another noteworthy thing is the update does now allow you to mix the color tones, that orange look you want late at night. Overall. Really liking this device. Better than expected. Was it worth the 290 ish USD I paid...maybe? My biggest surprise has got to be reading in the browser.
Have you had any problem with it until now? I mean, it has been 9 months and I've heard about some issues likebook ereaders have. It's still worthy the 290 bucks?
@@jolarful It gets used basically every day between work and reading. I even managed to find a way to watch RUclips videos using an app that changes the layout to landscape. I haven't had a single problem with it really. With constant use throughout the day to take notes for my job I'm getting nearly two weeks of battery life, with the backlight on nearly it's lowest setting. As to whether it's still worth the same price I paid nearly a year ago that's hard to say. I haven't really seen anything better since, color E Ink might be worth watching this year for next gen displays. The point is it gets used every day, I'm far more organized, and my eyes have thanked me.
@@FondyCrew two weeks of battery life? The only complains I'm seeing in the amazon reviews are about the battery, but if it really lasts 2 weeks (with moderate use) I'm probably getting one (I bet as soon as I buy it the next model comes out haha)
in other videoreviews I noticed that this model also have separate cold and warm lights levels, maybe that function came with the upgrade to android 8.1 from the original android 6.0 Have you, or does anyone else, hear about this? thanks
@Angel Cru - I've seen one for sale in the UK for £200 which seems really cheap to me. I worry that it probably has no manufacturer's guarantee or support system in the UK - I can't afford to spend £200 and have it break after a few months. I'm considering a separate insurance to put my mind at rest. Is it comfortable to hold for long periods??
Hello everyone, could someone help me find the update for the Likebook P78 ares? I can't find it anywhere . If someone knows, it would help me a lot, it is under androïd 6 and I understood that they had made a maj AndroId 8? Thanks in advance!
I am having problems when i am writing with my palm rested on the device(but only towards the lower side) its not a bug but rather a lack of function to disable the home button, The ability to disable home button If it was included in the 'Banned Mode' ... that would have been a better design ... as it would enable us to rest our palms all the way to the 'Last Line' on the screen. Is there any workaround to disable the home button ? If yes please share the method to do so. Cheers
How is syncing capabilities in Likebook lineup? I really want note syncing with Evernote. Could you please help? Thanks :) I have watched many of your videos already but couldn't find it anywhere. I know Onyx Boox has it, but Octa core performance is significant in my thought and Boox doesn't has 7.8" with octa core yet. Ps.Great vids bro.
On your website you say that there's a 3.5 headphone jack, but I don't see that on the bottom of the device. Is the jack on the top, or is that detail inaccurate?
I'm a bit confused about the assertion "You wouldn't buy this for the books" at around 6 minutes. I thought this was an e-reader with a wacom layer - which means it is a dual device - no?? I want an e-reader that allows me to read comfortably for hours (reading on a tablet is giving me headaches and it is too heavy), but I also want to be able to make notes with a pen, whilst reading a book (as I can on Kindle and Google Play books - notes that are book marked on the text and also go into a folder for me to look at later). I want to be able to get my books from anywhere (which is why I reject all Kindles) - don't mind side loading. Don't need any fancy bells and whistles or the ability to render complex images. PDF's/epubs (as some of the texts I read are ancient out of print books only available in such formats) and text books from the Uni library are also a must! I thought the Alita was the perfect device - and the price is reasonable - now I'm wondering??
I don't know if it was the Mar. 2020 update or B&N updated it's Nook App. but the Nook App. now works perfectly on the LikeBook Mars. Pass this along please.
@Bora Gungor - yes it does - you have to activate Google play but then you can read your books (according to the written review by good ereader, and based upon seeing the google play icon on the home screen in this review) I think the Ares might be the best combined reader and note taker for the money -Remarkables and most BOOX products seem to be far more expensive.
muses has NO sd card, NO flush screen, power button on the bottom. Ares has flush screen, power button on top (where it supposed to be), and an SD card slot so you can expand storage e.g., add 128GB, 512GB sdxc card
I don't know about expensive - it's the cheapest product of its kind out there. The equivalent Onyx BOOX, or Pocketbook (which has a single core processor compared to the Likebook's 8 core) are far more expensive.
Wow for a sec there I thought this was my Xioami Mi Pad 4.
Also great video as usual man.

Boox Nova pro or Likebook Ares ?! We need a comparison video to make a decision.

Hello, I would like to know if the stylus is used to write to any file, .epub. mobi. .fb2 ... or if it is only with a .pdf. Thank you
Does it has handwriting recognition feature for Bengali Language? I didn't find for Bengali language handwriting recognition feature anywhere.
Is it possible to have a split screen (one for reading and the other for note taking)?

No 3.5mm jack, but with the help of USB-C to 3.5mm adapter can connect regular 3.5mm headphones
