Congratulations on your journey. This was so helpful for me. I'm currently 6 months post bypass and I'm down 81lbs. Well done!!! You inspire me to keep going!!
Next week I will be one month post op. My tastebuds are definitely different. I barely eat I am beginning to drink water more now. It’s not easy, but I am happy I made the choice still new in the process going with the flow of my journey. VSG surgery.
I'm 10 months post op from VSG and it has been a struggle lately coming up with new meals. This was really helpful, I'm going to look into getting that bariatric recipe book. Thank you!
Great job Amy! I'm 3 weeks postop gastric bypass. I'm on full liquids for the next 4 weeks then my doctor will advance me to soft foods. It's tough and like you say, surgery is a tool. You still have to eat right and exercise.
Congratulations Amy ! I love this video it’s awesome your story sounds like mine!!! I want to see more My surgery was 3/16 so I’m still on full liquid!!! I love your meals
I'm not opting for surgery but my primary doctor and I have agreed to a low calorie, low carb, bariatric diet. Thank you for making these videos. They help open up meal ideas; beyond salad with hot sauce and my coffee each day. ❤
Congratulations, to you on the rest of your journey 🎉 ! I’m 5 weeks post op, from having gastric bypass. I’ve had my ups, and downs with foods (now that I’m in the solid phase). My doctor instructed me, to stay away from the microwave. Which I’ve stopped using, long before my surgery because it kills your food. This morning, I tried to have an egg white omelette, cottage cheese (fat free) with sun dried tomatoes. I literally had about 4 SMALL pieces of eggs, & I had to vomit 😞. I cannot wait, until it gets much better!
It is not uncommon to have various food intolerances early on (first several months) however if this continues to be an ongoing problem or is worsening than you could be developing a stricture (narrowing of the opening from the stomach to the intestine) or have an ulcer and should be seen by your surgeon
Thanks for sharing this! It’s so crazy that I’m watching this video 3 years after it was put out, and I just recently moved to the area. I’ve had the gastric sleeve in 2019, but have had some weight regain. I’m scheduling an appointment to get back on track ❤

@@TheTammychi honestly I put myself on a very strict diet. I had two protein shakes a day and one small portioned high protein meal and drank 120-135oz of water daily and worked out. When I got hungry or felt hungry I drank water. My mindset literally was different.

Yes, what many individuals fail to recognize is the hard work that is put into maintaining the weight loss after surgery.
