Wow.. thank you. So helpful. I had the same surgery May 4th and I'm 52 lbs down. Starting out at 376. You're so right, it's easy to just grab whatever if you don't meal prep and you've given me lots of great options. God bless and congrats girlfriend. 🥰🙏😘
Great video. I’m going to run and grab a lunch box. I need to do this! I keep grabbing whatever’s fast and available not the best choices I’m a year out and started gaining again.
You're a life saver!!!!!!! Thank you so much for documenting this. I'm 7 weeks out and felt a little lost. Sleeved July 22nd at 492 and im 456 now. Really trying to grasp making my own meals and this certainly helped. Where did you get the lunch box? I also need a bigger one for my work days.

This was so helpful because I’m considering gastric bypass but it would really help me to see how much of each meal she actually had (was she able to eat every morsel or did she have 3/4 of her breakfast etc). Great video she looks wonderful.
Hi Amy, she did eat all of her meals. Taryn portions her meals when cooking and storing her food and she is also very active so that helps with her appetite. But everyday is different after weight loss surgery. There will be some days you can finish your entire meal and others where you are full quickly - primarily due to hormones and physical activity.
This was really helpful and gave me something to look forward to In the future. I am watching this back Home after having my surgery 2 Days ago Tuesday Aug10th 2021 it’s the 13th today. So I a adjusting but this really helped
Syrup is typically high in carbs and empty calories (meaning it doesn't fill you up). So we recommend avoiding syrup unless it is a sugar-free syrup. And we also encourage you to stick to the recommended serving size.
I just ran across your page and it answered a lot of my questions about what you can eat. I had the sleeve September 8th as well as a hernia repaired. I'm in the clear liquid stage. It'll be hard for me since I'm a picky eater but I've came this far and I'm in it to win it. Thanks for the information.💗
Thanks for watching! We hope you find value in our other videos as well. You will do great on your journey! Best of luck-and be sure to check out our other content on our blog to learn more about life after WLS and how to succeed!
Do you put sugar in your coffee or do you only use the sugar-free creamer? Without sugar it wouldn’t be sweet enough for me I don’t think but maybe after gastric bypass.
We always recommend our patients watch their carb intake, so sugar-free is the best option post-op. However there are some low-cal creamers that you could try. We even have some patients add a pre-made protein shake to their coffee to make it sweeter!
I am just returning back to work and would love to prepack my lunch bag like yours do you mind telling me the name of the bag so I can order one... And thanks for the video it was really helpful 😊

We allow patients to make their own decisions about the food they are consuming, we just suggest they stick to a the recommended calorie and macro breakdown. For this patient of ours, she has a very busy lifestyle so she chooses foods that meet her needs. However, that is not to say we don't of course encourage patients to eat whole foods a they have many health benefits.

Hi Lisa, she does work out a ton. She actually was on the 75 Hard challenge (working out for 90 minutes a day for 75 days) at the time of filming this. But yes, we do recommend WLS patients limit carb intake.
That is way to many calories for a bariatric patient. At 18 months she should have already lost all the excess weight. Doesn’t look like it, probably because of the amount of calories

What about syrup for the waffles?? Any recommendations

I realized you posted this a while ago... but do you know where you got your containers from??? I've been trying to find nice ones like that!
Hi, we believe she got them on Amazon. We know she got her lunch box on amazon - link is in notes below video :)
Interesting to see, but do so many people eat this much pre packaged food?
We allow patients to make their own decisions about the food they are consuming, we just suggest they stick to a the recommended calorie and macro breakdown. unless your working out like crazy ,, these are way too many carb-loaded things for me ,, to each their own, good luck!

A lot of processed food.
Way to many calories i only consume 800 and no more
That is way to many calories for a bariatric patient. At 18 months she should have already lost all the excess weight. Doesn’t look like it, probably because of the amount of calories
She exercises a lot and for her, the carb and calorie intake works. Also, she started at around 400 lbs and is now down to 200 lbs
So you limit fruit but condone excessive consumption of chemicals, artificial sweeteners and processed foods? No thank you.
she's just sharing what she's doing. she isn't condoning anything. eat whatever you want. no one cares.
