They have some other awesome and new styles in the All-Star II collection. I think it's really nice that they started playing with the midsole and toe cap colors more. Got myself a pair of white low tops with pastel pink rubber parts. The new cushioning seems to be really comfy so yeah... the converse will probably always be one of my faves.

The og black line around the midsole and toe cap would've made this shoes 10x better. I'll be painting it on when I buy my pairs.

One myth about the classic Chuck Taylor's is that they have remained the same since the early 1900s. This is actually not true. Throughout the years there have been many changes to the features, materials and the design. Until the mid 1940s they were all black. They didn't have Chucks name till the 1930s. In the 1950s and 1960s they had features such as padding and arch support and looked different than today's Chucks. In the 1970s the quality of them diminished as Converse focused their attention on difference designs to compete with other manufactures. They eventually became a cheap K-Mart shoe lacking many of the features that were added over the years. The quality of them are even worst today. These Chuck Taylor 2 are actually more like the 1950s Chuck with a better insole.

Grabbed my pair at Journey's. I wanted both the black and the red pair, but they only had one pair left. A red size 7US (my absurdly small size)... so I snatched 'em up!
I was unsure about the all white sole, but after two days, I'm digging not having a stripe.
I've been wearing CT highs all my life, if you're a Converse fan (I am) or a Nike fan (not so much)... get a pair!

theY2k I agree, They did that on the Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, the leather is so much better compared to other Jordan 1s. But yes you are right, the quality could have been better.
Mr Stoltz They also did a good job on the jordan 7 "Bordaux" in my opinion. Like the AJ 1 and 7 in every way. Not to "childish" and not too flamboyant perfect for a casual day ! Great review by the way..

I'd take the blue ones. every school year my mom takes me to get a new pair of shoes for the year, so on that day, I'll be looking for those! would love to have the 2's, but they might be slightly expensive, so I might get the originals. either way, they're gonna be blue converse high tops

***** The Chuck's are sold at almost every shoe store: Footlocker, Eastbay, Finish line, Champs, Sheikh Shoes etc. They are pretty hard to get at the moment since a lot of people want them. I believe Finish line has them in right now.
Go to journeys.com. They have plenty of sizes available. I don't know for how long though.
Nordstrom has a lot in stock as well as converse.com

If I could offer just two pieces of advice for future videos: 1) put the type of pants/joggers/shorts in the video or description 2) maybe spend a little less time on each shot of the shoes on feet to condense the video a bit more

John Koh Thanks John, I appreciate it! In my opinion they run the same way as the previous version, however, many other people say they run smaller but for me they are the same. I have a size 10 -10.5 so yes they do run a bit smaller compared to Nike, Jordans, or Adidas. Thanks again for watching!

+CroatianPyro Haha... I know, It's not an easy choice, they all look great! I agree, the white looks super clean but does get dirty easily; however, you can always get a cleaning kit and maintain in on a regular basis and it'll stay fresh! The blue one works with more clothing styles but the red pops a bit more. Not easy at all! ;)

+Richie Landeros I do. My brothers. And so do all of my friends. There's not one specific way to wear a shoe. The only opinion that matters is the person wearing the shoe. I personally don't think no show socks are a good look, but if you want to wear them that way, good for you!

People can wear a shirt a certain way to make it look weird as well with pants and so on. If thats how some of your friends wear it thats cool i guess. lol

Yes you are. The lunarlon sole is one of the main things that makes it suitable for a full day, really comfortable.

Hi Frankie! I like both but if I could only pick one, it would be the high top since it works with more styling options compared to the low version. Both of them are great for different occasions and that's why I have both. During the summer I wear the low top a lot more but the rest of the year I wear the high top. All Stars are just classic and timeless and that's why I love them! What are your thought? :)

+Vegan Power I'm no expert in deadlifting shoes but I would say that the originals is better. The new ones are a bit too soft, the originals had a flatter bottom without a lot of cushioning so your feet will stay flat on the surface when you lift.

sooo i have a problem with overpronation (my feet are rolled inward), i really want to order a pair of CT2, but still wondering if it will hurt my feet badly. Would appreciate any piece of advice :)
Hi Tran! It's hard to know what kind of shoes you normally wear and which one that hurts the least. The Chucks are pretty tight compared to other Jordan's. The best advice would be to try them out in various sizes and see if they fit your feet. Maybe this shoe isn't the best option for you, or maybe it will be. Have you tried the original Chuck All Star? If so, they will run the same and you know what they feel like (except the more comfortable inner sock liner). Good luck!

I've walked around in my pair for a whole day and it feels a lot better compared to the original version. My feet and knees feel so much better in comparison to the older shoe.

+Richie Landeros Hi Richie. Yes, that is a possibility, the great thing about the classic ones is that there is plenty of colors to pick from. We can decide which ones we want, the old or the new. I personally like both versions. However, i'm leaning more towards the new model right now because I like the upgraded materials. Have a great Day!
