I don't know what the price is in the Phillipines. It's not a hyped shoe so I bet it will be about the same price everywhere.

I ordered black/reflective/lava, just like the one in your review. I believe it is much better choice for the rainy season when the streets are not that clean anymore. My new shoes will be arriving today. My regular size is US 10.5 but I decided to go half size down, as you suggested at the end of your review. I just hope they will fit well :-) Thank you, once again. Excellent review.

They didn't look as good in your hands. But terrific on feet, I'm really feeling that orange tone,especially for fall. ALSO i notice the box shows the water repellent was marked, I'm guessing they're going to release a winterized one!

Hey Tracy! You are more than welcome! :) I would say they are more water repellent than dirt repellent. A percentage of dirt will probably not stick as easy on the shoe compared to the regular model but I doubt it is very good when a lot of dirt falls on the shoe. Maybe it's easier to clean with the new sneakers with the new surface.
Thank you for the prompt feedback. I'm a bit concerned if the dirt residues would remain on the shoes when the raindrops (or waterdrops) evaporate and whether it's easy to clean the shoes afterwards. Thus, I haven't been able to make up my mind to get a pair yet. :)
No problem Tracy! The problem you are explaining happens on all types of shoes, you just have to clean it on a regular basis in order to keep in fresh. I still belive this shoe is a bit beter compared to "regular" shoes.
So, the two models that are in comparison are the chucks 2 and the chucks original? Also, are all chucks 2 waterproof as shown ? I'm picking up a pair of waterproof chucks soon so any response would be appreciated. Thanks!
+Gin Hao Cheong Hi Gin! Exactly, one waterproof and one original Chuck 2. There are several models that use the same water proof technology but with a few minor changes. I've reviewed two different water proof Chucks, you can go in and look at both and see which one you like most.
is the counter climate the same as shield canvas?
I heard on the white counter climate 2's, the orange lining starts to rub off on the tongue. can anyone confirm?

I usually wear size 9 for men, and I'm thinking about getting these. What do you know about the sizing of Converse? Should I run true to size or go half a size down? I don't really buy them that much.
You should go down 1/2 size with Converse, so go with an 8.5.

Just to share, bought the white lava counter climate pair, friend steps on it and left some dirt stains, tried to wash the stain off. Fortunately the stain was removed, left it dry for a few days and the spot where the stains were, it's no longer water repelling. Maybe just my pair got this problem.
That sounds strange, it should still work as a water repeller. I would contact Converse or Nike and ask them.
well, you washed off DWR layer imo, you can bring it back by buying and spraying DWR layer like Nikwax or something

+Dara Ros Hey Dara. There is not a lot of Chucks that are water repellent and warm in the inside. I will look into it. converse has the rubber or counter climate models but none are warm for snow, however, they released a different model a while ago that are more like a boot, I believe it's called Tekoa but could be the same as the other counter climate models.
Do the Chuck II's run narrow or wide? Are they recommendable to those with wide feet like me?
I have several friends with wider feet and it works out just fine, just have to loosen the laces a bit.

and I have a question are these warm for winter
+luke good I wouldn't say warm, however they are a bit warmer compared to the original since they are a bit thicker. Winter is different from Place to place and at some places like Cali these would be good but if you go to a place with a a lot of snow it will not be the warmest shoe and I would instead go with another model/brand.
Have you tried the counter climate rubber chuck 2's yet?
Hi, I've not tried it out yet.
I ended up getting myself a pair because fall is coming and where I live waterproof shoes or snow boots are a necessity. They are pretty cool. My one annoyance is that they do not have the iconic Chuck's white rubber over the toe box, the toe box is the same material as the rest of the shoe, but that is a minor thing I think I will get used to, just like how I got used to the lack of a racing stripe on the Chuck 2's. If you live in a wet or snowy place I think I would probably recommend them. Great videos btw!
Nice! I understand why they made everything with one fabric instead of breaking it with the "traditional toe box". They really wanted to make it water proof and therefore had to use the same rubber fabric on the entire shoe.
I like that Converse is selling a lot of different options of the Chuck 2, it caters to a wide audience and hopefully makes everyone happy with their purchase.

how bad it is to use a washing machine for cleaning that sneakers, particularly for the outshell with water repellant?
It's hard to say exactly how different detergents will affects the material on various sneakers. I am always very careful when it comes to washing sneakers and only do it on special occasions... I do my very best to clean the shoes and if it's not possible to clean it with a brush and solution then I would go with a washing machine but that's my last step.
If I was suppose to use a machine, I would put my shoes in special sneaker bags and wash in lower temperatures and not on the highest speed.

how wet can these get until they need to be put in the dryer or something
I've not tried it out yet, I've only walked around in rain for about 30 minutes. Maybe someone else can answer that and who has more experience walking around in rain until it gets soaking wet.
Mr Stoltz I bought them and I love them the water resistant is really good i ran in puddles and rain while getting to the bus and then to the school and when I got inside they were completely dry kinda creepy but awesome at the same time

+Sang Jeon Clean them the same way you would with similar Converse. Use some of the brands with a cleaning solution and brush.

+Nguyễn Khánh If it's just regular rain, your feet will stay dry but if it's pouring down they might get wet.
hey how to clean that sneakers
Hey, I would use a scrub and a cleaning solution like Jason Markk, Crep Protect, Reshoven8r, Sneaker Lab etc to clean the shoes with. I would use a regular brush on the midsole and outsole and a more delicate brush on the upper fabric... scrub it in and let the foam do the work... wipe it of and repeat this process until it's clean.

+Sliim Chigga I wouldn't recommend these for running, there are others shoes that are a lot better for running/sports. Converse for me is more of a lifestyle shoe even though it was first designed for athletes. :)

@@accountforplaylists8102 Converse is good for running IF you can some people can and some can't. But they are damn well great as workout shoes for weight lifting and body weight exercise maybe even for martial arts also for calisthenics as well. It has the features of a great shoe :

Yes the Counter Climate has the same type of quality, however, I haven't used it as much as the regular so I can't say if it performs the same way.
