Hey guys, love the video. Im a sock expert been working on sock circular knitting machines as a mechanic technician and technical designer since 2015. I began working for stance sock back in 2012 -2019 and I can confidently tell you these are FAR from being a compression sock especially a medical grade compression sock. A sock has a large latter stretch and recovery using 3 yarns - body yarn usually cotton, spandex and elastic. Also even at $200, it did have some pretty good sales(for some reason), nothing compared to old yeezy's but because of that I'm inclined to think that it was always planned on being discounted and not dont just because of poor sales.

Lmaoo JORDAN
Funny, balanciaga made these first and they sold the same shit that Yeezy pods made for like $1000… Kanye is doing this with Intent. He’s an artist and designer.
Not being into rap, Southpark taught me everything I need to know about Ye 😂
never heard of these until now thankfully
best sponsor sketch ever 🤣🤣
The biggest people he fooled are his fans by never shipping out the pods. 😂
still waiting, its been like 2 months or more
I’ve got mine and everything else I ordered, they were shipped separately, I’m assuming after they’re manufactured
Took forever but got mine. If it was was easy everyone would be a billionaire. Jokes on the people who doubted him.
took 2 months for mine, impatient mfs
So basically he ripped off ninja shoes.
Ninja shoes are better quality and a have a split toe.
Kanye is unironically based. I happen to not even like his music but he’s right about how hijacked society is.
Being right about society being an easily manipulated entity doesn't make you based, it means you know how to pay attention.
@@Javierm0n0 Knowing how to pay attention and being able to act on plans despite drawbacks while still coming out on top is based. Most people are ignorant anyhow and that is not based.
“Kanye is kinda the $20 sock of the footwear world”
The Diddy stuff made all Kanye’s decisions make sense
I think the idea was to sell it to hypebeasts and then reduce the price for everyone
oh thank god ive been waiting for some ASMR thank you poppi
I have a pair of the China versions, they fixed all of the internal gluing problems by removing a lot of that material. and changing the weave of the sock in those areas. Mine do not fit well so I could send them to you for a follow up.
Kanye did say he wanted $20 shots from a long time ago
I was given a bit of teasing by the Adidas folks in Portland, Oregon for pronouncing their name (like you and most of us) wrong. 🙂
Those "Pods" remind me of something Okinawan fishermen (and scuba divers) wear to protect their feet while walking on coral. But they're not as ugly as these Pods.
Adiddas hasn't "sold all the remaining stock" shit's still going.
The sponsor was funny😂
Some of knew he was a ding-a-ling way before Yeezy happened. We were never fooled.
Ye is my favorite black
I’m still waiting on my pair
Maybe it wasn't mental help issue but a fkin big publicity stunt, so convenient way to break out from adidas...
hell yeah brother (been waiting for mine for about 2 months)
Yeezy come, yeezy go
Kanye told no lies.
Lotta shrinkage during the parking lot stunt
Hey, that cold plunge is no joke if you aren't used to it (or even if you are)
Atta boy Weston!
kanye found out who you can't love and who you can't criticize
haters gonna always find something to complain bru (he expect a normal shoe for a kfc meal price)
Kanye has been talking about making affordable clothing for years thats what the point of the gap stuff was. my guess is the first batch was either to build hype like you said or as a funding strategy
You should rename this video to "guy who knows about shoes and shoemaking tries to talk about marketing for 18 minutes"
Kanye knows business, you have to admit it
Nah kanye said years ago he wanted to make everything $20
crap is crap despite the price
Well, they are basically socks so...
This is why Gemini the best we're the best hustlers😅
I swear he’s a god damn mad genius haha
I bought these $20 socks and theyre surprisingly very convenient
Thank you Kanye, very cool!
I always thought his music reflected his insanity and spiritual rot, but I think he's got some good ideas with clothes, shoes and fashion I give him that. The industries like to manipulate opinions on people and things for their own agenda. Look at this year's election. Politics aside the man is outside of the box and pushes back. That's something priceless in today's world.
Kanye is really a genius...
He took an absolute piece of useless garbage (himself) and fooled people into believing there was talent and worth.
Pure genius
Oh this is gonna be big
Btw, people who bought them for 200 can ask for a 180 dollar refund
Apparently they’ve been changed to being made in china with the $20 version.
yep, the refunds are basically a "thank you for believing" type of gesture
you initially had to pay way more, but for a seemingly better build from Italy, all created as a startup for everything else
dropped price, said thank you
Kanye is a joke.
I have always said to people that he knew what he was doing and that he mainly wanted to get out of his deal with adidas but could not do it by just asking for it. So, he decided to challenge them with all those a*tis*mitic comments knowing he would be eventually get dropped, becoming that way independent which means get every percentage of whatever he makes and releases. And he knows that he has a strong fanbase; people just love him, me included. He also knows that some of those people who support him will keep doing it no matter what he does or says.
