There's communities sharing what their pairs look like from the same batch, with people commenting on the flaws that the pairs may have.
Yeah plus I’m not sure the argument that “you have to spend close to the authentic price for a similar quality shoe” is correct because PKBASF (the highest quality Yeezy batch on the market rn) is only around $50-60 and after shipping it’s probably around ~$100 total

The problem with these type of test is that authentic pairs also come with several issues and changes. Like the 350’s sometimes fit and feel different depending on the colorway, I have retail pairs that have glue stains and separation on the midsole. And fakes have several batches too, with more popular models and color ways being more accurate, having better materials and craftsmanship
@@hert_man177 it's understandable that he couldn't really know the real price from the fake ones cause he literally got the shoes donated to him. I think it's a part of the internet that the yt and other major sites try to hide because it would affect the sales on the OGs if it was so much easier to buy fake shoes.
@Soul of a robot Yeah. I think that if the big shoe companies really wanted to have the official products differentiated from replicas, they could just create a nfc tag for the shoes or some kind of unique registration code on their website to let you know you have the authentic pair, or even some other kind of authenticity check by them, not relying on the recipes from the website you bought it or the authenticity check from third parties like stockX. But, whatever, fakes exist and though they're not the easiest to buy, doing it is not impossible, so i'm happy :)
I think it would be more scientific if these were new. Boost starts to compress after a while and who knows how long these fakes have been worn. Which probably has degraded them at least a little. Also judging from the belugas, the ankle part color is very off which to me seems like they’ve gotten a lesser batch. Was cool to see a used fake being similar to an almost new, real pair though. Especially given how much these sell for if you don’t treat sneaker buying like a job you gotta wake up for lol
Yes! I'd like him do a video comparing unworn fakes. Sweat, heat and friction cause a major difference. Also the orange bit on the beluga ankle might be bleeding from a machine wash.
One thing I will say as an owner of confirmed legit 350 v2s is that after you wear them for a bit the issues you mentioned on the fakes is present too, on mine that I’ve worn a good few times when I pulled in some of the parts, specifically the toe box mesh thing you that was mentioned in the very end, have bonding that has weekend a lot and can be pulled apart fairly easily if you wanted to, so it might not be that all the fakes are that much worse in construction but are just worn in a little compared to the perfect condition new ones. Not saying they’ll be the same quality even new, or that they’ll stay that way as long, but I think it is something to think about if you’re somebody on that edge.
I’ve had a pair of fake core red 350s for over 2 years and beat them to the ground and they’ve held up much better than my retail triple white 350s. My retails ended up having a tear in the knit but my fakes are still holding up strong.
There's such a huge market for fake replica products out there that there HAS to be some that are legitimately good quality. Not quite the same as sneakers but some of my friends buy fake sports jerseys and the quality on some of them is pretty indistinguishable from real jerseys, and then the quality on others for the exact same price is horrible with loose stitching and off-center logos, etc. I'm not really a sneakerhead but I assume there are more "reputable" places to get fakes from.
@@jasono312 another similar situation is with Chinese quartz. Lots of high quality quartz bangers out of China you just need to know the good manufacturers
@@jasono312 yes you have to do your research and yes there are 1:1 shoes externally, so you can only tell via strobel stitch (it's better on the rep LMAO). Nike QC is RUBBISH the high grade reps are literally better quality than nike trash these days. And yes youlll get idiots paying 200 dollars (LOL) for a cheap rep that's bad then saying reps are bad, because they are too stupid/lazy to actually research it. If you want reps it's not worth getting into them for one pair due to time/risk. You need to do your homework. I landed 2 awesome reps to my door for 100usd, A grade LW batch rnnrs and B grade OG 700 V3s. Both of them break necks in multiple countries. I daily the rnnrs and thrash them hiking/water/industrial places you name it they still clean up like new. Indestructible and most comfy shoes I've ever had. You don't feel em on feet when you fit them properly (use a hair dryer ;))
Bit of misrepresentation here, the guy who paid $200 for the belugas that had been beat to death could've got the same or better for $60. You can also get refunds if your buying through an agent. Probably a few other things too. Just because that guy paid 200 also doesn't mean he bought a top tier pair.
Guy literally said at the beginning of the video that he’s not well versed into the sneaker head culture, especially the fake/ua market. Some people are just never happy. Lol
Not every one's a "sneaker head" you can't blame a guy who designs boots and trys to break down all sorts of various shoe types to know everything about everything. Sneakers are dumb buy somthing that will last no sit on a shelf.
I think the fake yezzys are pretty worn to begin with, so we at least know they're durable enough to last more than a few wearing. fakes became big, because no one could get the real ones for a reasonable price, or retail to begin with, so fakes became the better option. especially when you just said they're close enough in all aspects. I sort of stopped caring about fakes, because people only seemed to want the shoes to sell, not to actually wear, so if people had tovbuy fakes to wear, I didn't feel any type of way about it.
Exactly. Scalpers ruin hobbies for the general enthusiast. This goes for anything.. Sneakers, watches, knives, pretty much anything collectable and in demand.
@@jakejones6056 LOL. No. They aren't going to have anything toxic enough to KILL YOU just from wearing them. Derrrrrp. Do they have huge amounts of endocrine disruptors sprayed on them? Yes. Do the fakes have huge amounts of BANNED endocrine disruptors? Definitely. That's why the alphabet community is growing so much. Endocrine disruptors ALL OVER our clothes and textiles, and even in our food.
I love that you thoroughly disect and break down each sneaker from a more objective and functional viewpoint. I would really like to see a Jordan 4 video because they're so popular despite being so notoriously uncomfortable to wear.
Gotta do fake foam rnnrs and slides. I know the tests would be minimal, and not much for dissection but proponents of fakes swear they are the same. Fake Jordan’s are super good, almost unidentifiable from the real. I’d like to see their construction for differences
People with both say they are pissed at paying retail or markup for slides. Foam rnnrs are basically same (slides and rnnrs in LW batch are basically retail quality and shape) e.g. within 95%.
I definitely wouldn't count on the glue actually being different, given the clear difference in how much those fakes have been worn. A shoe with that sort of construction has a reasonable lifespan of only a few months if worn hard.
Watching you over the years, I have been very entertained and SCHOOLED by your knowledge and cut-outs. The guy I constructively criticized some 3yrs ago due to video content has graciously responded and improved greatly with every video. I have purchased (and NOT purchased) boots and shoes solely on your word, and have been happy with quality and savings. Pryor to this Chanel, I had NEVER purchased shoes for more than $100 US (save my $100 Clarks). I scoffed at the idea of spending more than $75 for good outdoor boots. After seeing your video on Red Wings, I ran out the house and happily dropped $325 on a new pair. Thanks for all you do.
@@cryorigstechlifestyle1989 I was trying to find the video but it looks like his original account was deleted he's got a different RUclips account now.
I feel like the glue difference is probably due to the shoes being used. Same with the rubber. Also with the foam thickness. Boost is known to compress alot with wear.
glue usually technically gets stronger with wear, these shoes aren't old enough to wear that badly glue wise. Glue has a better chance of failing the less that u wear them when its a relatively short time span lol.
nah, they have their own factories to be able to make multiple brand models in the same place. the standards of the good fakes are of high quality though. china basically offers you a quality range, and you can either pick "cheap garbage" or "almost western quality". one of the biggest adidas fakers has been known to work with the original PUMA-Boost variant for his fake yeezys, for example. definitely doesnt come out of an adidas factory.
Yep. Plenty of business articles and papers on the "3rd shift" issue with contract factories in China. If you don't have good local oversite and choose who you partner with wisely, you can end up in a situation where counterfeits are coming out of the same factory as the real product. Cisco had a huge problem with this. Customers who bought from legitimate channels were calling in for warranty support for network equipment that had nonsense serial numbers.
Cool stuff, however I would consider comparing the fakes price to the authentic resale price instead of authentic retail price, since that’s the price you pay to purchase the authentic
Ditto as well. They are ugly looking sneakers and clearly are fast fashion. I have a very very old pair of leather Nikes - at least 10 years old and only now are they starting to fail.
Lol thanks for wearing a shirt with the exact same color scheme as the shoe sitting in front of it. Had me squinting to see where the actual shoe was lol.... Love ur show bro 👍👍!!
The belugas aren’t bad, but the shape is a little wonky. The others are about what you’d get for fakes under $20. I’ve seen and owned pairs that have been absolutely indistinguishable from the authentic pairs, and that includes being up close to them. A fake pair I owned lasted me 5 whole years of light wear, and I was able to sell them to a rep buyer for around the price I paid for them, which is wild. Around $150 for a really good pair is around the price you’d pay.
So a couple of things that I would like to say is that the fake belugas might be the ones from when they dropped in 2016 and not the newer release because they got those too, also the construction of the shoes varies on the batch that it was not to mention that some sellers purposely sell bad batches for a high price like the beluga replicas for $200 was a L to the person who bought them at that price when ive seen pairs that are 150 and they are spot on and they even are on par with the retail pairs
I honestly think it’s because you not a sneakerhead is what makes these videos good. There are so many other shoes I want to see you do this too!!! Nike has been releasing Boot versions of Jordan 9’s!
Great content as usual Weston, but the gambling sponsor is disappointing to see. I've no problem with gambling personally, but I don't think content creators should promote it, especially on a platform with a young audience.
Hey Weston!😃 I was wondering if you could examine the platform sneakers from Alexander McQueen. Would be really interesting! The opinions from people are very mixed regarding the quality of the leather and the comfort of the shoe. Thanks for sharing amazing content with us already.✌️😄❤️
I think it would be really cool if you did the Jordan one 'taxi' vs the shattered backboard just because so many people have been comparing the 'taxi's' quality to the SBB and it would be awesome to know how they really hold up
Just commenting again to say you should do mountaineering boots. Might not be your best preforming video, but people often trust their lives and their toes to these boots so it would be cool to see what is inside them vs normal boots and if they’re even very different between brands. Fully automatic crampon compatible boots would be best, doesn’t have to be full 8000m boots
Just for semantics sake, one can easily find a top batch yeezy rep for $50-70 assuming you arent using a MM. I have both rep and retail and the quality is virtually the same, the beluga pair was definitely a lower tier batch, whoever paid 200 for those got scammed big time unfortunately. Regardless, really appreciate you making this video, it was super interesting and I am looking forward to more videos like this!
Boost changes density the more it’s worn…your fake Baluga are worn…looks like someone tried to wash them with bleach or something….. that’s why they look as they do…🤮 Anyway Love your channel!!! 🎃
just at the beginning of the video but wanted to say thank you for your work in highlighting the fact that cheap leather is used in our fave sneakers we pay premium prices for. nike suede used to work for me when I was young, but hasn't worked in the past few years. it's always burst open somehow. goes to show we pay for branding, not materials
This is a great video Weston, but I'd say if you plan on continuing this series you should either collaborate with or get someone on board who knows about reps. There's layers to buying reps and in most cases the highest quality, most accurate shoes can be bought for $60-$70 dollars. I have bred air Jordan 11s that are identical to my retail pair (save for a few details on labels, box etc) and 12s that are better than any pairs Nike have made since the 1996 originals. These are the comparisons people really want to see. Putting budget batches up against retail there will obviously be some differences in quality but the fact the budget batches are still so close with questionable exception to construction quality as the pairs had all been beat, should really be an eye opener for people when it comes to retail and resale prices.
To tell you honestly, I stopped buying yeezy's when the 1st beluga came out. After that I just bought good replica's and I can say they never failed to amaze me how comfy they are against the original yeezy's.
@@Broman400 I can buy the reps directly in a store here in the Philippines. The batch of reps I get is usually the first batch as they are the cleanest, closest to the original. The next few batch of release of reps are trash.
I wanted to see if my friends Yeezy's were reps and I had a suspicion for a while, so I decided to set them ablaze while he wasn't looking. Case closed when I noticed the colors slightly faded and had to confront him about this.
“It’s pretty surprising that they (China) can make such convincing fakes.” Where do you think the real pair was made? They can literally over-produce the same shoe, sell it within China and keep all the profit off those.

I actually bought the fakes for the soft foam (nerve issue in my foot). They may not last, but they are very comfortable and they were not advertised as Yeezy's. Second most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned.
Hello Mr. Anvil! I'm looking forward to this series, this video was very interesting. I have an entry level knowledge of the "replica" sneaker 'hobby,' and just wanted to share a little insight. Ethics aside (tho the ethics deserve to be addressed) purchasing and quality controlling a fake pair of sneakers is a lot easier and more forgiving than you would expect. The process for countries who you can't just go to a physical market and buy, have to follow a process with an 'agent.' You pay this agent who usually lives in mainland china, or works with a warehouse, to order products from online retailers that are for the most part China exclusive. YOU, the customer, pay this agent to order the product you want, that you found a review for on a forum, (Reddit's got some good pages) the agents receives it and sends you photos of the product they received where then you can determine if it's the quality you were looking for, then they either ship it to you, or you can have them return it. The majority of reputable "replica" sellers accept returns and some will replace the product if the agent received a flawed product. Keep up the great videos!
Please do only unworn, and same colorway! Thank you! Reasons: Sweat, heat and friction have a major effect on the glueing of the insides. Plus you never know if the owner ever machine-washed them (which seems to be the case of the fake belugas judging by the orange bleeding in the ankle collar). Even authentic pairs have different construction features from colorway to colorway, factory to factory. This should be taken into account. But great video! Definitely gonna watch more like this! Would love to see a reshoot of yeezy comparisons with unworn pairs
Those reps toebox look rough. The best reps have good toeboxes and use real boost. There is practically no difference as your tests show. Reps and retail will yellow on some soles, it's normal. Even brand new retails can have it sometimes. If you buy reps at 200 you got screwed. If you buy them off a website that's an individual rep seller, they are middlemen and you are getting screwed (except for one or two cases where they have wholesale prices). Use an agent you shouldn't pay more than 20-50usd unless it's some super rare, super high grade rep. And yes there are 'guarantees' on some reps. They allow returns if your agent/QC check comes out bad. And I'd bet there are reps with far better internal construction, which are likely in the 30-40usd range, then in that case what is the point of retail? I've compared my OG batch 700v3s to real ones and you can't tell unless you check the strobel stitch. My foam rnnrs are same, you can't tell on foot, there is a single mold line you can tell when off-foot. That's it.. problem is lot of people get bad reps. Some of the mid range and cheaper ones are great, but on some shoes they are bad. It all depends, you want to buy reps you have to learn the system/community and ways and how to QC your stuff. Not everyone can do it. Those who can are able to make a business of it if they want. It all depends on the batch of reps. It sounds like mr Anvil, that you need to reach out to one of the rep community leaders on reddit or elsewhere (try Cedaz here or nottripping) to hook you up with some top grade reps to make this fair. Because people have done this all before (retail vs reps) and in many cases the best stuff is basically no difference at all. The box is the only place you can tell in those cases...
interesting this confirms a lot about the cheap fakes. one thing I would say though is my FAKE 350 v2s I've daily worn for over a year and the construction is still perfect nothing lifting or peeling and I payed about 30 USD for them.
@Soul of a robot Nike has spent the last 2 1/2 years on a crusade against fakes
I think it would be more scientific if these were new. Boost starts to compress after a while and who knows how long these fakes have been worn. Which probably has degraded them at least a little. Also judging from the belugas, the ankle part color is very off which to me seems like they’ve gotten a lesser batch.
Was cool to see a used fake being similar to an almost new, real pair though. Especially given how much these sell for if you don’t treat sneaker buying like a job you gotta wake up for lol
Exactly
and the yellowing is very normal for yeezy 350s
Yes! I'd like him do a video comparing unworn fakes. Sweat, heat and friction cause a major difference. Also the orange bit on the beluga ankle might be bleeding from a machine wash.
love what you guys are doing about raising consumer awareness for these hyped up sneakers - great content as always
Facts these reps that he has are not the top tier 😂😂😂😭😭😭
@@Kickback79 They even look fake on first look.
I am only 40 seconds in, but this is exactly the content I have always hoped you would put out. Thank you.
Bit of misrepresentation here, the guy who paid $200 for the belugas that had been beat to death could've got the same or better for $60. You can also get refunds if your buying through an agent. Probably a few other things too. Just because that guy paid 200 also doesn't mean he bought a top tier pair.
Yeah he definitely lied about how much he paid for them or got finessed by uaplg lol. Why was the ankle collar orange lol.
A lot of misrepresentation lol
@@E1337Jerk you can give constructive criticism, nobody is blaming him just giving insightful info LIKE HE ASKED FOR
I think the fake yezzys are pretty worn to begin with, so we at least know they're durable enough to last more than a few wearing.
fakes became big, because no one could get the real ones for a reasonable price, or retail to begin with, so fakes became the better option. especially when you just said they're close enough in all aspects.
Problem is, they could be toxic...and even fatally so.
@@jakejones6056 Then again so could the authentic ones, since we're on the poison shoes conspiracy theory 🙄
For 12$ on a pair of "slippers" I'd roll the dice. If I was interest in the originals, no. I would not spend 500+ on the Scalped market.
Yea, I'd love to see some real and fake Jordan retros cut in half.
I think he made video's about the Jordan's .... not sure ....
Fake Jordan's and just leather sneakers in general would be super interesting and on brand for rose anvil
People with both say they are pissed at paying retail or markup for slides. Foam rnnrs are basically same (slides and rnnrs in LW batch are basically retail quality and shape) e.g. within 95%.
Absolutely
I definitely wouldn't count on the glue actually being different, given the clear difference in how much those fakes have been worn. A shoe with that sort of construction has a reasonable lifespan of only a few months if worn hard.
Yes! I'd like him do a video comparing unworn fakes. Sweat, heat and friction cause a major difference.
But he didn't tested only one sho, but many different...and all the fakes had same problem....just look at other videos
Thanks for all you do.
i'm quite surprised! i thought the foam would be at least around the 80 hardness, but even the 12$ ones surpassed my expectations!
This is a super cool video. The fact that youre outside the sneaker community gives us a genuine reaction to normal opinion
Please do a replica version of the Jordan 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 comparing to the "real" pair.
why not 2s?
There is a RUclipsr called MK The Truth that tried to send Rose some UA's but he never answered MK back, he talked about it in a live video.

I feel like the glue difference is probably due to the shoes being used.
Same with the rubber.
Also with the foam thickness. Boost is known to compress alot with wear.
glue usually technically gets stronger with wear, these shoes aren't old enough to wear that badly glue wise. Glue has a better chance of failing the less that u wear them when its a relatively short time span lol.
personally, i would not buy fakes. but those white fakes at 12 bux are kind of crazy. 5-6% of the price for 60-70 percent of the quality of authentic.
Where can I find them?
They're all probably made by the exact same people at the same factory. 🤣
People that buy fakes say this
nah, they have their own factories to be able to make multiple brand models in the same place. the standards of the good fakes are of high quality though. china basically offers you a quality range, and you can either pick "cheap garbage" or "almost western quality".
one of the biggest adidas fakers has been known to work with the original PUMA-Boost variant for his fake yeezys, for example. definitely doesnt come out of an adidas factory.
@@maurseelo68 they're probably right, and still have $200 left to spend on something better. Lol
@@maurseelo68 Kanye also said this rofl
Why pay $200 for fake Yeezys, when the real things aren't that much more expensive
Finally 🤙🏽💪🏽 the replicas atheistically look nearly identical so will be interesting to see what if it’s looks only or are they actually quality.
Did you just have a stroke
It might’ve been just a random photo you found of a sneaker collector, but I got super excited at 1:03, that’s DJ AM 🙏🤘
So glad you did this, been waiting for it. I think comparing fake jordan 1s and dunks would be interesting as well as the other commonly faked ones
Great start, Still need that collab with MK the Truth!!!!!!! been waiting!!!
Cool stuff, however I would consider comparing the fakes price to the authentic resale price instead of authentic retail price, since that’s the price you pay to purchase the authentic
I would like to see updated replica pairs versus authentic pairs. RepSneakers should be of great assistance
Very interesting!! Can’t wait to see the real Air Jordan 1 s vs fakes!!
The yellowing is the most authentic part of all these shoes
Why not talk about the difference in feel while walking/running, or did I miss it
This was incredibly well edited. First video I've seen from your channel, Yeezy brought me

I love these type of videos! Air Jordans up next?
So a couple of things that I would like to say is that the fake belugas might be the ones from when they dropped in 2016 and not the newer release because they got those too, also the construction of the shoes varies on the batch that it was not to mention that some sellers purposely sell bad batches for a high price like the beluga replicas for $200 was a L to the person who bought them at that price when ive seen pairs that are 150 and they are spot on and they even are on par with the retail pairs
Where do I get good reps? Retail is impossible to buy
This was a great episode. I love seeing the comparisons.
Bro! you definitely have to do a fake/real Air Jordan retros!

Really enjoy the content on your videos. Very informative
I appreciate you for taking your time to make this. Quality is key 🔑
Boost changes density the more it’s worn…your fake Baluga are worn…looks like someone tried to wash them with bleach or something…..
that’s why they look as they do…🤮
Anyway

just at the beginning of the video but wanted to say thank you for your work in highlighting the fact that cheap leather is used in our fave sneakers we pay premium prices for. nike suede used to work for me when I was young, but hasn't worked in the past few years. it's always burst open somehow. goes to show we pay for branding, not materials

Putting budget batches up against retail there will obviously be some differences in quality but the fact the budget batches are still so close with questionable exception to construction quality as the pairs had all been beat, should really be an eye opener for people when it comes to retail and resale prices.
can you tell me the website where u can buy the good quality reps for $60 - 70 bucks? please
To tell you honestly, I stopped buying yeezy's when the 1st beluga came out. After that I just bought good replica's and I can say they never failed to amaze me how comfy they are against the original yeezy's.
Which rep batch do you get?
Had mine for over a year almost wearing them daily, so comfortable and durable
@@Broman400 I can buy the reps directly in a store here in the Philippines. The batch of reps I get is usually the first batch as they are the cleanest, closest to the original. The next few batch of release of reps are trash.
@@RedesCat that's what i'm saying. A perfect good pair replicas of yeezy is comfy as fck and no one will notice if its fake or legit.

Hello Mr. Keep up the great videos!
love the concept, looking forward to the next video!
Please do only unworn, and same colorway! Thank you!
Reasons:
Sweat, heat and friction have a major effect on the glueing of the insides.
No way! I've been waiting for this! Finally get to see if fake qualities are up to org quality standards
