As an old video game fan, this is the first and last time I cried without playing the actual game. I can already see their passion and love and it’s just impressive.

That there will be no characters from those entries contained within the remake. At most there will be small references to the compilation. They absolutely won't be extending the game beyond the original ending to include any other bosses. Granted, those statements are more or less not aimed directly at Advent Children, but are instead aimed squarely at the character of Genesis. Which will not feature whatsoever in the remake.

From one freakishly detailed person (myself) to another (these devs)...I really appreciate all the effort they put into this game. It brings me the ultimate nostalgia. For those that weren't young enough to experience FFVII when it first released, it was revolutionary. It set the standard as to what a game could be, with cutscenes, action set pieces, story telling and graphics.
Dream come true... remember buying this game on release day. Also remember seeing the previews and reviews on gamefan magazine reading on how incredible this game was.

I played ff7 when I was 17 in 1997. Watching these scenes makes me feel like I haven't aged at all. WARNING get the tissues ready. (Aerith). This game experience will move you!.
I've only ever beaten the original FFVII once, but I've played through most of it a few times. The most exciting part of this remake for me is seeing it all come to life on that next level. Even when compared to Advent Children. I mean, the demo alone gives me goosebumps... I can only imagine how the rest of the game will make me feel! Beyond excited at this point.

i know! i wonder if youll end the game at like level 20, you dont really hit a power spike until disk 3. whenever i replay the original it feels like the game really starts after midgar. then again i still get so hyped every time the motorcycle music starts playing for the escape. so excited to play this game but already sad we dont get to play the whole story haha
When I went to the FFXII UK launch back in 2006 at HMV Oxford Street, London, I asked the Square-Enix guys there about the possibility of doing a FFVII remake based on the tech demo for PS3 that had not long surfaced and they laughed and said "maybe after Kingdom Hearts 3" to which the crowd went wild, and now look where we are...
I remember getting to a bit in the original, i think about 12 hours in, and not being able to get past a boss because I wasn't levelled up enough. I had to start all over again. I didn't actually mind though, as the game was so much fun and I loved the characters and story.

Frustrating, but rewarding once I understood the systems. After failed to beat the 1st boss multiple times, I decided to restart the game all over again to stock the necessary spell, to survive. I haven't played the ff7, though. Many games nowadays are much easier to play compared to older ff games..hmm..
I might use it and if there's an option to skip the animation, I will do that. I need the 9999 x 13 damage. Prolly I will amaze with the animation at the first time, but after 100+ times casted it, skipping it is a necessary.
