I can’t imagine the level of stress and pressure these guys have been under, trying to faithfully recreate a game that’s so massively popular and a large part of so many peoples childhoods while also making it accessible for first timers and able to stand next to the top tier AAA games we’ve gotten this generation. A daunting task indeed, but they’ve given us no reason to doubt them from what we’ve seen so far. April 10th can’t get here fast enough

If im a developer.. I will make game in to 3 parts.. Sell it to the public for a whole Price.. This great idea for Square enix theres no pressure on this final fantasy remake at all.. Its all about the money and its brilliant
One of the reasons why this remake is so perfect is because most of the developers of FFVII remake are also the ones who created the original FFVII because of that they know how to recreate the scenes perfectly

This game taught me how to read, how to understand character emotions and my own during my childhood...it was my golden era. Fast forward today the world gone a bit mad everything manufactured not made with love. I would like to thank all the staff who was responsible for creating this game and the timing is perfect due to this pandemic going on which can endure a little peace. Never underestimate the power of the playstation.

The thought, effort and attention to details that the team put into this game are incredible. I played the original and demo and I can't wait to play this game. The scenes between Cloud and Tifa are so sweet. Thank you, Square Enix, for all your hard work.

i'm so thankful that i'm still here to witness the long awaited REMAKE. 23 yrs ago this was my first game on PS1 and a lot of people kept begging for a remake on each console PS2, PS3 and a lot of us got worried that it's not coming when Squaresoft lost money. now i just can't believe it's coming in few weeks from now. i played the demo today and man it felt like i was back playing it 23yrs ago but seeing more stuffs now. i remember every time i get a cutscene in game, i stop blinking. always wanted to see it as internet was not reliable those days and youtube wasn't born yet. now it's like playing the advent children in my story i love ! i hope they will keep all the hidden toy soldiers and whatever easter eggs they had. Golden Chocobo all the way !
I'm calling it. This is an unbelievable masterpiece and the best remake ever made. The visuals are astounding as well as the sound design and the gameplay. The demo just seem to run so smooth and effortlessly flawless on my PS4 Pro. I don't know if there is any thing that I could want more than this game right now. I can't wait until next month I will be 17 years old again. Thank you so much Square-Enix for making this experience possible.
I can't express how lucky and fortunate I feel having all the creators of this masterpiece putting again all their talent into remaking my favorite game of all time!!

im a first timer to this game but I did play the demo and it was fantastic and I had so much fun playing it. I am super excited for this game.
This is looking incredible. At first I was skeptical about it being in parts... but now, it makes sense logistically. So hyped to play this.

Nobuo Uematsu's music is pure magic... I rarely acknowledge someone as a grandmaster of any craft, but he truly is a genius
I know a lot of people are big fans of Zach and want to see more of him, but honestly I hope they keep his reveal the same as it was, where your expecting cloud but then you see someone with black hair and your confused. I want them to keep him discreet but still keep scenes with him like the end one where him and cloud escape Nibelheim
This video confirms and once again makes think that I'm just glad this project is in the hands of Square Enix. This is a team that is putting great effort,... I think there is none other that could have accepted this challenge and still exceed expectations. Thank you!

I didn't even consider the fact that before when the characters interacted, there was no facial expression to tell you how they meant or took something. The scripting was well written enough that you caught their general mood about things but not the nuance of it. They were blocky cartoons, awesome ones and ahead of anyone else with the level of fidelity they put into the game's characters, but things are different now. We see every eyebrow raise and sigh the character makes. Therein lies the problem.
This man is trying to recreate a game in a way that fundamentally changes it. He wants so much to make sure the characters are true to what the fans saw 20 years ago. When you watch the screen and Cloud and Tifa interact, your imagination of what's going on, the subtext, the inferences are all implied and up to interpretation. Now, it will be much clearer how they feel about things. If the director goes a different way than the fan's imaginings, they'll be upset. I'm sure most will understand the situation, some will not have thought that deeply about things, but there will be a few who scream, "It stinks!" like the Critic or "Worst Period Game Period Every Period" like the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons (Hey a game from the '90s deserves references from the '90s.)
I just hope the "Super Fans" don't hug it to death and expect a 1:1 recreation of their experience with the game. It won't happen. It can't happen! I'm absolutely certain the director made a wonderful and as-faithful-as-can-be remake. I am not envious of his circumstances currently. Here's hoping it gets to stand on its own without having every different moment be "disappointing" and instead "interesting".

if that were to be the case it would be something like Resident Evil 2 remake but with a turn based mode as a optional combat mode like what they are doing with this game a hack and slash with a turn based hybrid

Part 2 would be awesome, I'll never forget when that lady transformed into that mitochondria beast. Sounding like a horse. I still have bad dreams about that damn game.
I, for one, am delighted with the Cloud psyche tweaks. He had all the personality of a block of tofu in the original (and not the fun beret-wearing kind that dash through zombie-infested sewers).
If they’ve expanded on the original as much as they say then were in for a great game. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too many years for the next part.
Your a fool if you think they won't milk us for the next part or stretch it as much as possible to maximize their wallets

2. Milking? Do you have any idea the costs and time it takes to make a AAA game? You and alot of others are sounding real entitled. If you don't like the game or what they are doing, dont buy it then and stick to your guns.

Since they already have the base code, mechanics and character design/models down already, the coming parts shouldn't take as long
I can actually say I've waited a lifetime for this to happen as I was 14 when I first played, 37 now. I haven't even watched this video and don't think I will. This is my favourite game of all time I don't need these geniuses to tell me all the hard work, love and care put into this because I already know and I absolutely cannot wait to explore this new re-imagined world. P.S calling it now (I really hope they do) before you summon Knights of the round, you will be required take a bathroom break, walk the dog, and get a munch ready it's gonna be a long one😁

This game is so polished, that I've played it on my crappy tv and still has an excellent framerate and high quality.

because Part 2 of this game will be world map segment. with the next gen console is focusing on making open world game easier to develop, i think SE will deliver fantastics world map that will blow our head away.

I think it is quite difficult to forget what happened to Aerith.
What I love about FF7 is that all girls are drop dead gorgeous.

I am so excited for this game. The only thing that comes close would be cyberpunk. I’m happy they pushed that back. It would be a inner battle on choosing which one to play first!

That's why they've been homages in nearly every FF game afaik. This is the first (only?) FF game where they actually had more of an impact other than generic NPC #27.
It would be more painful to see Aerith die as you're with her longer (one whole game) this time around. Or may be they could twist the story this time - have the option to save Aerith but somebody dies, Aerith dies or nobody dies. Multiple endings or some branching story would be nice for the next episode. Its a win win as you could stick to the true FF7 canon or modify it to your liking.
I feel like Aeris has to die, as much as I don't want her too. That scene was the catalyst that summoned holy.
They can definitely keep her alive this time since she acknowledges his cetra powers early

OMG that would be a feat bigger than this project especially with all the characters, altered timelines, branching stories, and endings. If this game, with it's completely linear story, isn't doable in one game, that game is COMPLETELY impossible.

Aight I'm jumping on the FFVII Remake ship right now. I got one problem though, I've never played any of the FF games and I am absolutely clueless about the story.
All of the different Final Fantasy games are completely separate, so you don't need to have played 1-6 to understand 7 - or even to have played 7 to understand 7R. I personally think they are great games, so I recommend them, but you also shouldn't have trouble just jumping in when this releases. :)

I grew up on the original FF7. I was going to play the remake but decided to quite gaming a few months ago because I found that gaming took away from my real life and relationships. You can all laugh at me but the truth is that I gave my life to Jesus and don't need an escape anymore. I love real Life! Peace to all of you, enjoy the remake, and let me know if you want to learn more about the transformation that happened to me when I gave my life to Jesus.
Neat... still gonna wait until they're all released and Square comes out with a "Super Mega Deluxe Edition Pack" with the entire FF7 game in it including whatever DLC they're considering releasing.
