I agree with Tidus and Yuna . I'm a big FF7 fan so I was really happy with seeing Cloud/Tifa kiss.. but that is only if you pick the romantic scenes with Tifa and go on a date, so you can easily pick romantic scenes with aerith (they don't kiss in the date but it was still intimate). SE tried to please all the fans, so fans and actually made a huge stance to explain that Cloud hasnt made a choice and that gamers make the choice so its personalised. But by doing this they diluted the romance in FF7... but Yuna and Tidus, man... that was some kiss.. so much chemistry and you know they're meant to be together. ITS PART OF THE MAIN STORY LINE and its not some option. The whole scene was beautiful, the CGI was so well done it felt like they were in space at some point.

I'm 27 and was born three months after the game was released. I played FF7 when I was around 10. Despite that, I was super happy about Cloud making the first move instead of Tifa. 27 years in the making! 😃
It wasn't something I expected because I know their most interesting stuff/climax happen with the Northern Crater + Mideel + Under The Highwind, but they certainly are building it up from the start and it's really nice

I always thought Tidus and Yuna took the cake when it came to a moment like that. Now with FF7 Rebirth, i gotta give it to Cloud and Tifa for the whole buildup to it. They did such a good job with the character expressions leading up to that. You could feel the emotion every time they were together, which just made it all the better. 👍
They certainly convey a lot of emotions in both for different reasons. The context of FFX is really emotional, while in FF7 there's so much story and buildup and future for these characters that is satisfying
Disagree totally, cloud and toda scente only gets hype cause the years people waited to see that, they would cjeer anything, they wanted to see them Kiss, nothing more, but the scene itself wasnt anything great, Yuna and Tidus it's surprising in context but fits so well and its beautifully excited, it actually looks like they feel real love despite the stakes, one scene works only for The previous hype, between of and remake, the other works cause the scene itself convey those emotions

I haven't played XVI yet, but I do notice that Clive and Jill's kiss CGI moved more naturally. Such a big difference in graphics over the years, especially with X's scene being an iconic moment, but if I have to compare to 7 Rebirth's and XVI's, I would agree with you and choose XVI.

I think it is very bittersweet but not the best. About their relationship, it started well but Jill and Clive then took years to show their love for each other.
I really wanted to like them but the developers didn't "develop" their relationship too well. They seemed to rely too much on their childhood connection (Noctis and Luna suffered that too,) and dedicated most of the plot to the brothers. It always felt like she was on the sidelines cheering the main players on while they ignored her.

I mean, it has been obvious to me for a while now, specially endgame stuff. I don't think a couple that has made love confirming their +7 years feelings, live together for 3+ years post game, adopt a child, consider themselves family, and now it has an onscreen kiss should be doubted (specially when comparing to any FF love story that usually have like %10 of that) but here we are.
No it's not. The author himself told that Cloud loves both Aerith and Tifa so Clerith is canon two. That's the magic of this game and story. It clearly up to you. It doesn't matter are characters childhood friends or new love. I don't agree that Cloud and Tifa are main characters. Aerith knew her future so she didn't kiss Cloud because of that. She didn't want him to fall in love with her because she didn't want him to suffer when she is gone.

Man, i'm so glad the devs scrapped Tifa's OG date for what we got in Rebirth. It's no longer stagnant which is the case in OG until the lifestream and Highwind part. This is the right course to build slow-burn romance.
I will never forget waking up on Feb 29th completely forgetting it was Rebirth release day and seeing Cloud and Tifa kissing as the first thing in my Twitter timeline. I legit almost screamed but it was 6AM and I was getting ready for school. I literally messaged my online bestie about it on Discord, and she was happy for me even tho she's not a Final Fantasy fan. I was so happy that I even told my classmate about it and explained the entire plot of FFVII to her Ahhhh thank you Square Enix for making Cloti canon, I still can't believe it even a week after Rebirth's release!! To be fair that scene isn’t “canon” I put it in quotes because the gold saucer date scene will never have a confirmed canon to it. I will say what is canon is that there is a point earlier in the game where cloud opens up to Tifa about his fears and insecurity that leads into them almost kissing, only to be interrupted by Yuffie and Cait being a bit too nosy

Also yes, it IS optional. But it's canon in the way it shows how Cloud will behave with every single party member when he's given some time alone with them. Who he goes with is optional, how he behaves with every single one of them isn't optional.
That kiss is a taste for things to come, but glad they made it occured after 27 years to let the viewers and players know where their feelings lie, even before his fated restoration of his true self and "that" scene that will more or less be in part 3.
Their progression feels so nicer and even better now. Disc 2 is always goated about their arcs, but it's so nice to see a huge build up to it now with many details ♥
@@DroWarriorOfLight I do hope whether it’d be the Highwind scene, or any alterations made to when and where it occurs, I do hope they nailed the scene of whatever will be their final consumation that would be in the same league as the rest of these other kisses like FFX and FF16. I don’t want that something like “The Highwind” scene that may occur or be adapted and altered in Part 3 be seen as a source for laughs for it being the “sex scene” of FF7, since kiss scenes that were shown here are meant to more or less be the emotional climax of the romance development that ties the relationship arc of the pairs.
In 1997, I was 3 years old and didn’t know about FF7 (or FF in general). However, I did watch the movie and watched my brother play the game in 2008. I waited 16 years for Cloud and Tifa to kiss and it was worth the wait. It was so romantic and beautiful.

You know what was my "I see the progression" thought while making the comp? Seeing Tidus and Yuna, the almost first CGI scene of a kiss going ALL IN on each other's faces, while every later iteration they realize that they would make the scenes in a way it pans out when the kiss happens (or the hair covers it) so it can look nice and not awkward as many 3D kisses can be with all the head movement etc is pretty funny ps. let's go Cloud and Tifa! You did it!

I've loved Cloud and Tifa since the Advent Children days, it was rough man we didn't get hugs or kisses 😂 just some very ambiguous living together. I thought the hug in remake was everything I ever dreamed of (despite Cloud being a little awkward lol) but kissing?????? in part 2????? a Cloud initiated kiss???🤯the devs were not lying when they said they wanted to develop Cloud and Tifa more. The kiss is great but I also can't get over Sephiroth taunting Cloud with Tifa not being real, that Jenova can become those you fear or love and when Cloud repeats Seph's words he say's love first 😳In seph's messed up gaslighting, making Cloud believe Jenova has took the likeness of Tifa because he loves her (not shocking to anyone who knows the story of Cloud 😂)
All around amazing decisions to make a build up even more gratifying than coming up with the reveals all at once in part 3 "out of nowhere" for the nature of being different games. Bringing things early and focusing on it a lot and in a beautiful way is such a cool decision for the sad parts at the Crater and the amazing ones at the lifestream/Mideel, very satisfying to see. I clearly didn't expect any of that during part 2 in theory either
This is why I love Square Enix so much, they show romances and special moments between the protagonist and the woman he loves. Unlike Nintendo who never shows love to anyone. Not with Mario and Peach, not with Link and Zelda.

Dissidia Opera Omnia unfortunately had its server shut down recently, but one of the best things this mobile did was explore more the relationships between canon Final Fantasy couples... Noctis and Luna was what stood out to me the most as it was my first Final Fantasy, I love these two, I even bought the book and saw how Luna could have been such an incredible character, unfortunately Square didn't want to do that... But after playing DFFOO I saw how much Noctis and Luna's relationship was very In addition to what the original game shows, it's a shame that now that it's been shutting down, some fans can't see relationships like Tidus and Yuna's with their late parents being explored as well...
And also in general right? The story bits of that game made a focus on relationships on many characters, focusing of course on the ones on the same game, not only makings crossover stuff. While I didn't play I remember good stuff about that, luckily will be uploaded in a YT channel as far as I know

FFXV will always sit so good with me as it was my first Final Fantasy to open me to explore the series getting into and completing FF7, FF8, FFX, and FFXVI, but more importantly FFXV the story of trying to always go on and make it to your bride just for the most unexpected plot twist and to see that ending kiss and reunion was huge and impactful especially with the main FF theme playing and the picked out picture for the finale
I think that ending was brillant tbh, the main theme playing and the potential reunion that couldn't happen while then going to "sleep" and the logo transition was so good, I was such a fun of that logo adding Noctis to it

Ashe and Rasler are so underrated as a couple, cause they go beyond what most FF love interests have and get married. If Rasler didn't die during the attack on Nalbina Fortress, he may have been a potential party member.
If I was to pick a couple, I think I would go with Clive and Jill. Not only did they have tragedies happen to them, they gave strength to each other to have enough confidence to stand up as individuals and as a couple.
I mean. Tragedies happened to most MCs and their love interests. Yuna has to die to complete her mission and tidus is a dream. Tifa and clouds hometown got burnt down, plus she almost got killed by sephiroth and cloud is a mentally unstable zombie. Squall is potentially dead for half the game. Etc.
Jill and Clive had the least interesting romance in my opinion......we don't actually get to ser any of them "growing up" together, nothing really even that shows why they like each other.....it felt kinda forced in as if BECAUSE Clive was the MC and BECAUSE Jill was the only female MC they HAD to be together All other romances before them you actually got to see that romance build, it was a natural journey to witness but with Clive and Jill it was.....just not there In fact it seemed even almost unnatural because Jill and Clive come off as siblings for most of the game and by the time the romance comes around it just feels....wrong. She was raised alongside him almost as a sister, afterall, and without seeing that relationship at the very start it just is hard to view her as anything romantic for Clive once it DOES happen and feels forced for the end game.... In terms of best written romances I would give it to Squall and Rinoa or the Tifa/Cloud/Aerith triangle because both groups handled their romances not only very well but the most realistically

Yeah, while comparing, FF kisses carry quite a lot of emotion, some farewells, some emotional melancholic ones like Serah's and Yuna's situation. Meanwhile the new addition just living the best life at the Gondola (BUT, I always loved to call the post-gold saucer event of FF7 "The downward spiral of the game", so after the kiss, all the bad things happen for quite a while lmao).
Tidus and Yuna will always give me goosebumps and make me emotional! That was my childhood/pre-teen game! They are one of my favorite couples in the series. Unexpectedly, I LOVE the Jill and Clive one! It was so bitersweet, but so romantic too!.

It is the only kiss in the game yes, which is pretty telling in sense of showing which relationship is the most romantic-coded one (at least the reciprocating one) but also i'm glad mainly because I didn't want the devs to treat Cloud as a play Puppet that goes around kissing girls willy-nilly instead of deciding by himself who is his romantic choice; that would have made him so unlikeable

I agree with Tidus and Yuna . I'm a big FF7 fan so I was really happy with seeing Cloud/Tifa kiss.. but that is only if you pick the romantic scenes with Tifa and go on a date, so you can easily pick romantic scenes with aerith (they don't kiss in the date but it was still intimate). SE tried to please all the fans, so fans and actually made a huge stance to explain that Cloud hasnt made a choice and that gamers make the choice so its personalised. But by doing this they diluted the romance in FF7... but Yuna and Tidus, man... that was some kiss.. so much chemistry and you know they're meant to be together. ITS PART OF THE MAIN STORY LINE and its not some option. The whole scene was beautiful, the CGI was so well done it felt like they were in space at some point.

I'm 27 and was born three months after the game was released. I played FF7 when I was around 10. Despite that, I was super happy about Cloud making the first move instead of Tifa. 27 years in the making! 😃

Now with FF7 Rebirth, i gotta give it to Cloud and Tifa for the whole buildup to it. They did such a good job with the character expressions leading up to that. You could feel the emotion every time they were together, which just made it all the better. 👍
They certainly convey a lot of emotions in both for different reasons. The context of FFX is really emotional, while in FF7 there's so much story and buildup and future for these characters that is satisfying
Disagree totally, cloud and toda scente only gets hype cause the years people waited to see that, they would cjeer anything, they wanted to see them Kiss, nothing more, but the scene itself wasnt anything great, Yuna and Tidus it's surprising in context but fits so well and its beautifully excited, it actually looks like they feel real love despite the stakes, one scene works only for The previous hype, between of and remake, the other works cause the scene itself convey those emotions

I haven't played XVI yet, but I do notice that Clive and Jill's kiss CGI moved more naturally. Such a big difference in graphics over the years, especially with X's scene being an iconic moment, but if I have to compare to 7 Rebirth's and XVI's, I would agree with you and choose XVI.

I think it is very bittersweet but not the best. About their relationship, it started well but Jill and Clive then took years to show their love for each other.
I really wanted to like them but the developers didn't "develop" their relationship too well. They seemed to rely too much on their childhood connection (Noctis and Luna suffered that too,) and dedicated most of the plot to the brothers. It always felt like she was on the sidelines cheering the main players on while they ignored her.

No it's not. The author himself told that Cloud loves both Aerith and Tifa so Clerith is canon two. That's the magic of this game and story. It clearly up to you. It doesn't matter are characters childhood friends or new love. I don't agree that Cloud and Tifa are main characters. Aerith knew her future so she didn't kiss Cloud because of that. She didn't want him to fall in love with her because she didn't want him to suffer when she is gone.

Man, i'm so glad the devs scrapped Tifa's OG date for what we got in Rebirth. It's no longer stagnant which is the case in OG until the lifestream and Highwind part. This is the right course to build slow-burn romance.

To be fair that scene isn’t “canon” I put it in quotes because the gold saucer date scene will never have a confirmed canon to it. I will say what is canon is that there is a point earlier in the game where cloud opens up to Tifa about his fears and insecurity that leads into them almost kissing, only to be interrupted by Yuffie and Cait being a bit too nosy

I do hope whether it’d be the Highwind scene, or any alterations made to when and where it occurs, I do hope they nailed the scene of whatever will be their final consumation that would be in the same league as the rest of these other kisses like FFX and FF16.
I don’t want that something like “The Highwind” scene that may occur or be adapted and altered in Part 3 be seen as a source for laughs for it being the “sex scene” of FF7, since kiss scenes that were shown here are meant to more or less be the emotional climax of the romance development that ties the relationship arc of the pairs.

You know what was my "I see the progression" thought while making the comp? Seeing Tidus and Yuna, the almost first CGI scene of a kiss going ALL IN on each other's faces, while every later iteration they realize that they would make the scenes in a way it pans out when the kiss happens (or the hair covers it) so it can look nice and not awkward as many 3D kisses can be with all the head movement etc is pretty funny

I thought the hug in remake was everything I ever dreamed of (despite Cloud being a little awkward lol) but kissing?????? in part 2????? a Cloud initiated kiss???🤯the devs were not lying when they said they wanted to develop Cloud and Tifa more.
The kiss is great but I also can't get over Sephiroth taunting Cloud with Tifa not being real, that Jenova can become those you fear or love and when Cloud repeats Seph's words he say's love first 😳In seph's messed up gaslighting, making Cloud believe Jenova has took the likeness of Tifa because he loves her (not shocking to anyone who knows the story of Cloud 😂)
All around amazing decisions to make a build up even more gratifying than coming up with the reveals all at once in part 3 "out of nowhere" for the nature of being different games. Bringing things early and focusing on it a lot and in a beautiful way is such a cool decision for the sad parts at the Crater and the amazing ones at the lifestream/Mideel, very satisfying to see.

Dissidia Opera Omnia unfortunately had its server shut down recently, but one of the best things this mobile did was explore more the relationships between canon Final Fantasy couples... Noctis and Luna was what stood out to me the most as it was my first Final Fantasy, I love these two, I even bought the book and saw how Luna could have been such an incredible character, unfortunately Square didn't want to do that... But after playing DFFOO I saw how much Noctis and Luna's relationship was very In addition to what the original game shows, it's a shame that now that it's been shutting down, some fans can't see relationships like Tidus and Yuna's with their late parents being explored as well...
And also in general right? The story bits of that game made a focus on relationships on many characters, focusing of course on the ones on the same game, not only makings crossover stuff. While I didn't play I remember good stuff about that, luckily will be uploaded in a YT channel as far as I know
@@DroWarriorOfLight Yes, but those who haven't played it are unlikely to watch the whole thing without the main game, but I highly recommend it, especially in the reunion of Noctis and Luna and in a chapter where Celes and Locke's relationship is explored more, I didn't know they were a couple until see this there 😭
FFXV will always sit so good with me as it was my first Final Fantasy to open me to explore the series getting into and completing FF7, FF8, FFX, and FFXVI, but more importantly FFXV the story of trying to always go on and make it to your bride just for the most unexpected plot twist and to see that ending kiss and reunion was huge and impactful especially with the main FF theme playing and the picked out picture for the finale
I think that ending was brillant tbh, the main theme playing and the potential reunion that couldn't happen while then going to "sleep" and the logo transition was so good, I was such a fun of that logo adding Noctis to it

Ashe and Rasler are so underrated as a couple, cause they go beyond what most FF love interests have and get married. If Rasler didn't die during the attack on Nalbina Fortress, he may have been a potential party member.

Asian love: 27 years. 1 kiss.
If I was to pick a couple, I think I would go with Clive and Jill. Not only did they have tragedies happen to them, they gave strength to each other to have enough confidence to stand up as individuals and as a couple.
Yup, that is a beautiful reasoning, also very true to which why I think it was a great addition to the series
I mean. Tragedies happened to most MCs and their love interests. Yuna has to die to complete her mission and tidus is a dream. Tifa and clouds hometown got burnt down, plus she almost got killed by sephiroth and cloud is a mentally unstable zombie. Squall is potentially dead for half the game. Etc.
Jill and Clive had the least interesting romance in my opinion......we don't actually get to ser any of them "growing up" together, nothing really even that shows why they like each other.....it felt kinda forced in as if BECAUSE Clive was the MC and BECAUSE Jill was the only female MC they HAD to be together
All other romances before them you actually got to see that romance build, it was a natural journey to witness but with Clive and Jill it was.....just not there
In fact it seemed even almost unnatural because Jill and Clive come off as siblings for most of the game and by the time the romance comes around it just feels....wrong. She was raised alongside him almost as a sister, afterall, and without seeing that relationship at the very start it just is hard to view her as anything romantic for Clive once it DOES happen and feels forced for the end game....
In terms of best written romances I would give it to Squall and Rinoa or the Tifa/Cloud/Aerith triangle because both groups handled their romances not only very well but the most realistically
My favorite kisses are: Tidus and Yuna and of course Cloud and Tifa ❤❤.

oh thank you! I actually felt bad for replacing Suteki Da Ne for copyright reasons, so I went with a song from the OST that shared the same melody / is a leitmotif of it, which is "Someday the dream will end" (not the happiest of names for them)

Yeah, while comparing, FF kisses carry quite a lot of emotion, some farewells, some emotional melancholic ones like Serah's and Yuna's situation. Meanwhile the new addition just living the best life at the Gondola (BUT, I always loved to call the post-gold saucer event of FF7 "The downward spiral of the game", so after the kiss, all the bad things happen for quite a while lmao).
Too bad for Tidus and Yuna, they breaking bad.😢

Tidus and Yuna will always give me goosebumps and make me emotional! That was my childhood/pre-teen game! They are one of my favorite couples in the series. Unexpectedly, I LOVE the Jill and Clive one! It was so bitersweet, but so romantic too!.
Yup, perfectly said. Tidus and Yuna were iconic and set a precedent. And there's quite a range of feelings with the moments between Clive and Jill so it feels emotional

I love both aerith and tifa, but I always thought & felt Cloud would end with Tifa no matter what, somehow it's hard to believe it's been made official😂😂
It is the only kiss in the game yes, which is pretty telling in sense of showing which relationship is the most romantic-coded one (at least the reciprocating one) but also i'm glad mainly because I didn't want the devs to treat Cloud as a play Puppet that goes around kissing girls willy-nilly instead of deciding by himself who is his romantic choice; that would have made him so unlikeable
