Bottom. Put the back wheels on some 6*6 sized blocks of wood, or a bit larger,. Then put some 6 ton jack stands to hold the front of the car up. Then use the $130-150 harbor freight transmission jack, the scissor one. You'll have to support the engine from the top. I used 3 2*4s i had glued together and a ratchet strap. The hardest part is getting the fuse box out of the way.
No too bad of a job replacing that engine. Oh man, that oil filter cap brings back some bad memories when I was helping my nephew change the oil for the first time on his Cobalt. A gorilla must have put that cap on, even with the special socket I thought I was going to break it trying to get it loose. good video and got the engine swapped out with a new one and everything is finished but I cannot get more than one torque converter bolt in! The other 2 will start to tighten and then get loose and not thread anymore. I can see the threads of the torque converter but the bolts will not thread in through the flexplate.
So is that green wire that you took off the starter, does the wire that’s partners with the alternator wire run to the starter with the main starter wire??

Regarding your bolt torque info....did you find torque specs in a manual or does the bolt shank diameter and length .....bolt size....determine the torque, i.e., will a size “A” bolt call for the same torque regardless of location or application? Or probably two ratings....one for insertion into aluminum, and one for into steel? Thanks for your videos and expertise. Dave in Omaha
