They literally made a song for a 1 minute part of the game, this shows the dedication of the developers for this title was strong. Even after 9 years, I'd still recommend Human Revolution for anyone new to Deus Ex. This title was in my personal opinion better than the previous one.

@@MrRemakes Exactly. We were warned countless times throughout history, yet we dismissed them or resigned ourselves to the illusion of helplessness. Each generation blaming the next for its own choices and consequences. Now we have surveillance states, robot dogs, attack drones, internment camps, analytical AIs, deepfakes both visual and auditory, and sanctioned segregation. It sounds like a nightmare, but we still have the chance to stop it from becoming fully actualized.
@@MrRemakes kind of. When we hit 2020 I toasted with my champagne for a "Deus Ex decade" since HR is set in 2027. It was meant as a joke but now with 2022 and the whole things happening the world of HR and Deus Ex doesn't seem fictional. We are lied by the news, some shady people are pulling strings and shifting their agendas, there are wars, shortages, society is divided by meaningless topics and ideologies, a virus is going around, privacy is becoming a luxury and corporations are doing their own thing. Quite the dystopia and even worse since we won't get an Adam Jensen to save the world.
@@Spirit901 DXHR is a great game but it's not even close to the original. The first DX is easily top 3 game for me and I've been playing games for over 25 years now. It had the depth most game cannot even scratch today.
Games like this are far more compelling than anything on tv or in movies these days.
That's why they went in and shoved dIvErSiTy into them.

I remember being struck by Adam from the first moment. He wasn't a hard-man grunt or a rich fopp. He was organising corporate security for a meeting at the UN. Really great writing and portrayal. Combined with this atmosphere, I think we were all hooked.

I was actually kinda shocked by his voice... In all the images that I've seen him idk why I didn't think his voice would be like that 😂
I got used to it eventually of course.
@@FireStarJutsu I thought the voice fit perfectly. Did you know the character was inspired by old Clint Eastwood movies? It makes even more sense then, the stoic but rough demeanor.
He's been helplessly strung along by forces beyond his control time and again... Being invested in discovering the puppet strings along with Jensen himself is part of what makes these games so compelling!

@@mRGuitarShow1 I had a different thing in mind, basically with the discovery she made she had the strength to change the entire world, she pulled too hard, and it snapped, her work was taken from her and her entire life as of that moment was lost forever. She became a slave to her pursuit.

Deus Ex, has the single best soundtrack in gaming.
Original, HR, and MD, are all amazing, I listen to it non-stop during my work.
During summer, during winter, during Autumn, it fits all seasons.
Me too man... I have become obsessed with all of it. Combat music, ambience.. it flys me through my work day.
Easily in my top 5 game soundtracks ever for me. Game itself gets a 9 overall..soundtrack is an A+

Megan gets really pissy with Adam if he waits too long in the office
Beautiful. Its really easy to meditate to this. I've spent many more hours than I care to admit looping it.
This track and the atmosphere of the intro is so touching and heartwarming. Like Adam is taking the last minutes of normal life, where his biggest challenge is his past bitter traumatizing relationships. The very last minutes before the storm.
This instantly makes anything feel super important - studying never felt it had more high stakes
Damn I wish Michael McCann had finished his version of the UNATCO theme from the first Deus Ex.

Gaming Ambience Deus Ex is my favorite video game series. The remix plays right after you walk out of this office but ends shortly before the cut scene ends.
Doesn't that part start playing on the elevator ride to Sarif's office? The title is called Pritchard Interrupts while you're yapping with Megan, at least that's what mine says. I wouldn't doubt he has a much longer version in his possession hehe.

I think the time for completing the intro of the game was 10 min at least. Instead of that I spent hours in the Megan´s office, imagine the time I spent completing the campaign (with DLC)...
I adore the ambient music... but I simply cannot watch the video - Megan's presence, and her constant fidgeting, are giving me anxiety. :P
If you have the dev commentary open ingame, the incessant school-girl fidgeting is a huge debate point amongst the devs themselves haha

Oh boy.... good question. I did it more than a year ago now and I honestly can't remember how I did it or what I modded :/
Go visit forums/sites where people discuss beautiful screenshots. They've got hacks for this, might need cheat engine though. I've also heard that the Director's Cut gives you the option to keybind a button to turn off parts of your hud
