You can feel the sadness in the air. A sunken living room meant to convey homeliness and comfort, is neither in this piece. The way the empty spaces are dawned over by sprawling windows with blaring lights. This is not an apartment, this a cave for a brooding, broken man.
This one small apartment has the thickest, most potent and evocative atmosphere of almost any area of any game I've played. It tells players more about Adam Jensen than the entire prologue. I hope level designers around the game industry have taken exhaustive notes about Jensen's apartment.
I cannot imagine going home one day after a traumatic event and walking through the door without any of the limbs I was born with. It would feel ghostly. Alien. Something that you'd never truly accept about yourself as having happened.

Then the attack happened and he thought she was dead, while he came back from the brink a completely changed person. Once again, alone. Its who Adam is. Maybe tragically so. @@girlcrazyrockstar I honestly think it's possible. You already have smart home setups to control lights and blinds and automatic cat feeders, so that part isn't the issue. May require a bit of clever programming but anything is possible. :)
You guys may not believe me, but me and Adam Jensen share the exact same birth date. Well, he's late by a day. We even have the same black hair. I can relate to this character's struggle. You gonna save up for it or do you have the ability to build it yourself?
@@girlcrazyrockstar I honestly think it's possible. You already have smart home setups to control lights and blinds and automatic cat feeders, so that part isn't the issue. Complicated part: I'd have to wire in a pad to recognize my thumbprint which then would activate a series of instructions (open/close blinds, bring lights up slowly, activate voice). May require a bit of clever programming but anything is possible. :)
I want to go back
oh man, thanks so much for this one!!!!
I fell asleep to this so many times over the years
*the bells and the slight ghostly voices in the background is what does it for me
Beautiful music! just spent the entire hour writing to it! One of the best
I do the same, these videos are so good for writing
What did you write? If you're willing to share. Id love to know
You guys may not believe me, but me and Adam Jensen share the exact same birth date. Well, he's late by a day. We even have the same black hair. I can relate to this character's struggle. He didn't ask to be augmented (Human Revolution). I didn't ask for my life to be controlled by my parents. I'm the end, he embraced what he has become (Mankind Divided). I still struggle to accept where my life is going, but I know I'll see the light of the day one day. That's why he's my favourite character.
I remember arranging all the ammo and weapons i have on that table just to make it feel immersive 😅 i was 15 that time and the best years of my gaming era. Im 25 yrs old now and still wishing i could go back and enjoy that spark i have playing videogames
Back when games used to be good
my favorite location with such melancholic music theme
I listen to this sometimes while flying, it brings peace.
thanks for uploading, and with the semi still images too, that's awesome
Thank you so much for making this!
Herrlich diese Musik. Das sind meine Emotionen, diese Melancholie wie in der Serie Millennium....
Both IPs involved ex-cops chasing down conspiracies larger than they could possibly fathom and losing someone they dearly love in the process, so melancholy is pretty apt. Millennium is astounding too, good to know there's someone else out there other than me who enjoys it.
That settles it! I'm gonna program something to play this tune when I come home and greet me by name! I cannot get tired of hearing this!!!
I have never played this game but I'll be damned if I didn't say the score is magnificent!
Problem is: I could listen to this for hours.
I'm tired of replaying it every one hour
@@ivans.5959 I know I'm late to the party, but you can loop it!
Right Click on the screen -> "Loop"
and you're set!
@The Åmbïěnŧ Person because...I never asked for this...
This alone has helped me sleep countless times
Deux Ex HR is one of those games I wish I could play again for the first time.
Gonna replay this game one more time. Love it.
I always asked for this..
thank you for uploading this
this music always knocks the ground out from under your feet
Just sit there in the dense atmosphere, fire up a ciggy and listen to the low volume news channel on TV while looking outside the window. _All those people living out their lives... Oblivious._
A sad tune reflecting reality.
I really wanted to buy an apartment and recerate this ambiance.
I feel so chill in his apartment...
I only played this game for a while and need to come back to it but something about it was really fun but at the same time very depressing
Most lovely music
I am big fan of these new Deus Ex games, please do the same with Mankind Divided, and keep up with the good work!
I will definitely do Mankind Divided but I am still waiting for the price to go down because it's still 70 dollars for the base game here in Canada lol.
Gaming Ambience Woah! I have finished MD 2 days ago, bought It on sale on cdkeys.com for like 10 USD. You should try looking for some sale. Its not as good as HR, feels a Little bit too short, but still a good game!
The song of a man who never asked for this.
I am not leaving.
idk guys but the first thing I´m gonna do after buying my first apartment is to listen this masterpierce
Wow, I was really hoping some one would make long ambient videos with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I did visual Deus Ex: Human Revolution playlist with all ambient tracks but they are only long enough to show where they play.
I have one request for Deus Ex: Human Revolution:
Tai Yong Medical Data Code
or
Montreal - Picus Helipad
I definitely will do something with those, I do like the scenery of the Montreal mission for sure.
This game took Blade Runner and made it 10,000% more interesting and atmospheric.
This is perfect, thank you
No problem. Thanks for watching!
A man with some impeccable tastes in music, I see...
Love it...
Im...😢 crying what is this? way deeep inside me i cant stop 💘
Thank you.
I think I replayed the series so many times and rewatched Blade Runner 2049 so many times, and now waiting for cyberpunk 2077...I keep repeating years in my head 2027, 2029, 2049, 2077.....I don't think I can behave normally in society anymore.
Poor Adam :(
Drunk and smoking staring at the moon while listening to this
good times!
Just woke up and only one blind is open so it looks like Jensens place. Lighting bowl now to calm down new augs
Gx Mx hahaha
Sitting at Boston Commons in the rain right now, after walking along a streetside path. Great moments :)
God I wish I still smoked for this reason.
Where I come home to dump weapons to use or sell later and eat breakfast cereal.
Похоже что я не один такой кому очень понравилась атмосфера квартиры Дженсена))
Slightly reminds me of the save room theme from either Resi Evil 7 or Evil Within
Only legends can hear Eliza Cassan speaking in background
I might be spoiled but all those tracks have a very similar vibe to them compared to Deus Ex 1 where it was much more versatile and interesting.
I sleep with this on!
Waiting for a ps5 version of deus ex hr and md.
bachelors dream apt
Music to stay in (quaruntine) by
My favorite is the penthouse music in hengsha. But this one is cool aswell
I miss 2011 too:(
Thank you!
Every year, we get closer and closer to this reality.
listening to this soundtrack while listening to Al Jazeera live news hits really hard
I can totally hear this in Daredevil TV Show.
The craziest thing is that Daredevil is possible in Deus ex, you just need some augments for your smell and hearing
I wish theres VR version of Deus Ex series.
I kind of like his Prague apartment better. It has more purpose, this one is just sad.
