A few words from the author: I dedicated this channel to the dark and dystopian side of ambient music. Here you will find such moods of ambient music as cinematic ambient music, dark ambient music, meditative ambient music, cyberpunk ambient music, sci-fi ambient music, futuristic ambient music. Most often in my compositions I use rain sounds, hypontic drones, deep soundscapes, and various synthesized sound effects. You can use my music as ambient music for sleep, ambient music for meditation, ambient music for reading, ambient music for studying and ambient music for work.

Hello! Can I ask where did you dig up such fine eerie picture of your Research Center? Its truly enticing - the architecture, the fog, the lights - I keep staring at it and its horrifically beautifull and uneasy - like starting a horror film :D I'd really like to know where can I find it.
who is the author of this artwork?
the ambiance reminds me of Super Metroid, which is the highest possible compliment I could ever make lol ;-)
The picture and music is so dark, yet also cozy. It makes me yearn to live in that world despite its dreariness.
Move to Scunthorpe.
This comment is so well put.
Strangly i have the same feeling as you
The lights shining from the windows transform the rain and fog from grim to cozy.
Come to Russia! Namely some city in Siberia
Now show us the inside.
What do you think the inside looks like? if you can even remember this comment
@@alexprice7375some aliens probably doing research

@@tala4746 We are spying on them, stranded off world where we made an emergency landing
I'm not really in a good place right now mentally and I just stumbled across this. It gives me so much comfort. I feel like I'm in a game where I have to go on my silly little walks, cook my food, drink my tea to keep my character alive and healthy until the rain stops :) thank you!
🫖this describes my feelings to a tea 🍵
Don`t worry, your shadow has already been cast under the cat park lighting. You are now part of the ambiance.
It's a hard time for many of us, you're not alone in your struggles, maybe by saying this it will give you a modicum of comfort
You are being smart by doing all the activities that are good for you. "Fake it till you make it" is a helpful phrase. Go through the motions of healthy behaviors, and you will slowly recover. They use that saying in AA, but I think it would work for treating depression with behavioral therapy too.
Try alcohol.
Makes you wonder of the interior of this research center. How are its hallways? Its offices? The basement? Unsettling, yet a comfortable feeling for exploration. Exactly my daily dose of emotions I need.
what are they researching
@@Birgus_Latro Organic, eco-friendly hair products.
You'll never find it, though. This is true middle of nowhere, US. Probably lots of cloud seeding happening around the clock, too. They'll tell you it is to keep this facility private and hard to reach, due to the constant rain and unstable terrain, but in reality they know whatever is in there needs humid weather to stay under the radar. The problem is not even they know what's in there.
A labyrinth of hell-bound bureaucracy probably, and many lawyers... plus very mad scientists.
Do they clean out the fridge every other Friday?
an inhospitable and unforgiving landscape can make a concrete box seem inviting
normally we would see this as imprisonment, or the most alienating of jobs
And yet, as you find yourself entering the facility you quickly come to grasp that this is no ordinary research facility... but one that has housed the stem of the outbreak, the requiem for chaos... You dare venture in, finding discarded husks of people that once were... finding their remnants strewn about like confetti... you wonder... "Should I be here?"
You say that, but I would personally find the building inviting even if not for such landscape. The sheer grandeur of this massive structure which likely holds even larger quantities of human ingenuity fascinates me...
@@xeroigarashi8058 I believe that you have a real future in Sci-Fi writing.
@@timford3599 thanks, I love writing… but school… … …
I wish there were more games that had this type of aesthetic.
Reminds me a lot of Subnautica.
Reminds me a bit of the architecture in Wolfenstein: The New Order
The name of this architecture is Brutalism, in case you don't know.@@PantsofVance
Control has a similar ambience vibe and the same type of architecture in it. It's not post apolocptic though, just a bit...odd shall we say.
Have you ever tried Halo?
I love that brutalist building that looks like it could be from Blade Runner and the music is just *amazing* !
Agreed, or just as easily Cyberpunk 2077, or Judge Dredd :P
This music is perfect for my writing sessions.
Looks like the sun never shines here, gloomy and quiet. My ideal place.
same
I want to work there.
"But you do. You have always worked here."
"Chilling...very Chilling."
It's a really really good scenario for a game like Resident Evil or Silent Hill
in a post-apocalytic world in which hardly any people live and the earth is just a wasteland. And you yourself are lucky enough to live in this complex, with sufficient food, water and electricity and protection from intruders. I would choose this place as my home, even if I had to live there in solitude.
Somewhere in south central Siberia, the Soviet ESP experiments were never discontinued.
A perfect intro setting for something like Half-Life 3
Currently writing a report at night in the winter time at an old school nuclear research facility. Lets just say this hits the spot haha
вечный сумрак и дождь! супер!!! хочу туда.навсегдаа!!!
Wow the building architecture really match the dark dystopian atmosphere, while the ambience gave it way more dark vibes ....
☁I wish I could live there. Dark and foggy weather all day and night long. Listening to this awesome track every day. ☁☁
Vivrei lì dentro per sempre
I dont wish for the end of the world but I see this and I just imagine surviving here and inside a room with futuristic vibes, accent lights, everyone wears similar clothes and a massive self sustained ecosystem for plants and food in the upper building
This brings to mind a scene in a Ray Bradbury story: You're a downed space ranger hiking through an incredibly wet, dank & cold environment of nothing but rain to find the one human installation where you'll find warmth, and you can get dry, but best of all, you can finally get out of the non-stop eternal rain. You climb another sopping wet rise and there it is. That's it, isn't it? But, there are no markings you recognize. Nothing looks completely "human" about the structure.
Have you gone insane? Is this an illusion you only think you ~ some where to be safe & dry?
Suddenly, you cannot remember how long you have been hiking and sleeping, and stumbling, and running and sometimes screaming through the non-stop rain, rain, rain, rain!
~ Eternal Dystopia - thank you for this beautifully disturbing ambient/art piece.
Currently coding to this. It perfectly matches the 1 lamp on in the house and all of the window blinds shut. I even hissed at the sun when I got the mail earlier. I'm a total joy to be around at work parties.
Hello fellow vampire
And yet I find myself quite happy like this during summer because I can't really go outside during it.
As a fellow programmer, I can confirm that we're all like this
I was about to go to bed as I've got work in the morning, but now I really want to do some coding lol
Also currently swamped in code, miserable dark, rainy and dull day outside - and this soundtrack fits the mood perfectly.
I've found great sanctuary here, absorbed in this, and it fills me with peace. My whole word crumbled today. It hurt. But in this dimension I've found some sense of solace. I am grateful. Here the pain drifts into the calm dark and I smile knowing I no longer matter...
You do matter, the situation that hurts you, doesn't matter, you can start again, you matter. Never tell yourself that.
Thank you so much Jon for your kind words! This really helped me this morning. Never expected to find such warmth and kindness online. Thank you
May I ask what happened? It sounds to me like you lost someone who was dear to you.
I'm so captivated at the thought of a post-apocolyotic future where I'm by myself, haven't seen another human in years, and live in an old hidden research center in nowhere, and maybe a tank to get around in 😆
I've seen this place.......in my dreams.
Looks like England this summer (2023). Curiously enough it's autumn and we are now having a massive heatwave 😬 Really cool music!
Deep weather weirdness here in Britain. I hope the west reverts to temperate rainforest.
brutalism and rain sure sounds like england
Perfect tones. That's where the zombies are.......
Old Soviet research facilities in far East, awesome video
love the architecture. who wouldn't want to work/live there
Lots of half-life and half-life 2 vibes, early on. Love it!
I was going to say Metroid Prime, but the Half-life games fit here too!
At some places, it sounds little like "Vague Voices" from Half Life ost
I loooooove brutalist arquitecture
its very nice
Do you play video games? Have you played Control?
Stark, ethereal soundscapes that really do take you on a journey inside your mind
Anyone else getting Lab Practicum vibes? Good work Eternal Dystopia.
not going to lie that's the coolest building i ever seen
Music like this is what RUclips gets RIGHT. Allowing more than just top40/pop, etc. to be discovered by music lovers like me. I wouldn't be a fan of at LEAST 50% of the types of music I love if it weren't for RUclips allowing you to post your music. I'm thankful you share some of your work here. :>
Yeah I'ma be honest: Spotify recommendations SUCK. It's either stuff I've already listened to a hundred times, or trash pop/rap crap. RUclips shows me stuff like this, breakcore, new artists from forever ago, the latest trend in music, etc... It's not as much of a "pushed" algorithm like Spotify, nor is it too simple like soundcloud. It's perfect.
Spotify also has similar eerie music.
With each beat, I feel like I'm diving deeper into myself. It's like the music is uncovering parts of me I never knew existed, thanks
I love videos like this, I can just get lost in the video and atmopshere/ soundscapes. I can close my eyes and be in this world exploring it. Truly awesome videos.
I don’t know why but this remind me of the maps from the original Counter Strike which were so silently yet disturbing and lonely
In the virtual realm few things are as lonely and foreboding as the original Source maps.
I haven't played CS in over a decade but reminds me of the map Aztec from 1.6. I saw videos of the new Counterstrike 2 which looks a lot like Fortnite.
It's like closing the door in a dark room and sitting next to the air vent that is continuously blowing warm air into your face when it's dark and cold outside. It's a companion in a way, one that isn't seen only felt.

Silence in a dark warm place, is an old friend
99% of all ASMR videos I've ever watched didn't give me tingles, but this video does from the very first second, even without headphones!
Maybe I should consider going back to therapy...
Amazing scene and sounds, put it on full screen and imagine walking around that building. tysm .. subbed :-)
that's actually a really sick design. it leaves office space for documenting and going over designs. then there's an area that can potentially go deep underground, giving privacy while also limiting interference from certain subatomic particles for very sensitive experiments. then there's the top that gives security a 360 view of potential for whatever caused such heavy destruction. or perhaps the environment is toxic so the ramp leading up is for vehicles and the top portion is for parking. maybe the reason the bottom layers are not lit up is that's an area dedicated exclusively to defense incase of an incursion from the lower levels.
I have yet to find a better channel that lets me study in absolute zen. I dunno what it is but this music calms down my incredibly ADHD brain and allows me to hyperfixate on my assignments in peace. Thanks very much dude, means more than you know.
Binaural beats. 369 hZ.
I can never finish this song without crying, I miss my childhood and I miss the emotions I felt while playing these games and watching top tier RUclipsrs playing games , those times were peak in my life
I've always had a strange longing and nostalgia for dystopian and post-apocalyptic scenes and worlds, and this taps into that feeling for me perfectly. I find myself imagining what sort of world this scene is a part of, what it's like inside the building and what sort of landscapes and other habitations lie beyond the frame of the image; what sort of culture and society exists here; how far do those mist-cloaked plains and forests extend. It seems to be a window into a living, breathing, eerie, fascinating, beautiful world. And I want to be in it. All of which is to say, amazing work! I think this channel will be a new obsession for me, and a great source of inspiration for the dystopian novel I'm working on.
This works for me. I need peace, and quiet, and I'm depressed. This is very calming. I also worked in a building that looked like this. So very appropriate for me.
the building looks really dark... but not abandoned. Somehow it has a magnetic effect, once I would get inside. Relaxing atmosphere and the perfect weather for productive work.
Я б попрацював трохи в цьому офісі. Атмосфера й погода дуже сприяє продуктивній мозковій діяльності ;)
та норм офіс😅
KILLER soundtrack for contemplation, meditation, and self-inquiry. Lots of room and space to think inside a cocoon of ambient vibratory tonality and feel.
I misread it as self injury 😁
do you use any drone or ambient to help people off of opiates?
...this is very nice....its like I'm walking those empty, desolate spaces in my brain , all alone
this ambiance stirs a feeling in me...nothing boring like sad or happy...I cannot describe it...and that's what makes it much more powerful...
This makes me calm and full of emptiness, it gives me peace...
I love the idea of these audios. I feel like I could really just disconnect from reality for a night, Close my eyes, Put this on and imagine myself delving into a massive abandoned research base. Amazing stuff.
Perfect music for writing my lab report
blade runner - ghost in the shell vibes. I would love to experience a city like this one day (but probably not live in it)
This video reminds me of playing the game Limbo, or Inside. Dark, mysterious, intriguing, yet peaceful. The music feels like there’s a thin shaft of light shining through every few seconds.
Слово-серебро. Молчание- золото.
This gives me strong Death Stranding vibes
I love the design of this building, seems ominous and impractical yet beautiful in the misty atmosphere. It could be either occupied or empty, a building in the middle of nowhere perhaps housing some of the deepest secrets. I would love for this to be in a game, you have been invited for a job interview, all information is undisclosed. Dare to accept? MIssion accepted, proceed with caution.
I love this. It reminds me of the alien facility in Subnautica.
Oh wow, that’s probably the most accurate thing to this, thanks for that
Ah, I see you are also a man of culture
No, it doesn't. It reminds me
Brutalism is a thing of beauty ...You need to add that word to your description .. all your images are brutalist
Thank you. The audio is hypnotic, and the visual evokes a memory. The research center in the picture reminds me of a place in British Columbia, Canada. There is a school campus there, Simon Fraser University, which sits atop Burnaby Mountain, near Vancouver. Quite often, there is thick fog which makes everything look otherworldly.
oh wow you're right. the building is very striking looking.
So love listening to this while writing my dystopian novel ❤🖤
How is it coming along?
@tonyambrose6320 Great so far thanks 🙂 I'm getting near the end of draft 1. Then I'll take a little break. Then I'll work on revising and rewriting.
This would be an immense setting for a psychological horror narrated experience. The depictions of structure & process with the alluring ambient tones create a unique comforting yet mysterious soundscape.
it's extremely akin to death stranding
Great for new Aliens game :)
10 hour version would be wonderful

Hi i work at a place just like this..im a security guard, cant say where, but. Its cold and in a forest.
Muero de miedo en estos tiempos tan agitados para la paz mundial, éste pasaje sonoro es elocuente, una ventana a lo oscuro.
You’ve managed to combine coziness and darkness. Dude!!!❤
This has a great yearning, nostalgic mood.
Now is this housing. The future after 400 Years after an Atomic war. Clouds and rain have failed to disapate. It rains about 312 days a yesy always couldy. The suvivors have been able to built this self contained structure to carry on for those who are left? I love this building.
Semplicemente meraviglioso..

Reminds me of DayZ Namalsk. A dark Arctic island, with research facilities hiding other-worldly knowledge.
You have to love channels like this. Small treasures hidden in dark corners of RUclips where the pure of heart create beautiful art & music unbound by corporate greed, materialism and profit. Yet to be noticed by the eyes of control and censorship. A place untouched by vain narcissism and shallow agenda. PURE CREATION for the sake of creation. Art in its truest form, uncorrupted, untampered and free.
A callback to the 1990s when we reveled at the birth of the world wide web. The manifestation of a similar feeling....the feeling when we joyously explored internet pages with a great sense of excitement and without any idea of what we'd find next. Unaware of the evil that would eventually entangle itself in the creation. The web before it was captured and enslaved by power-hungry hogs. No fear of cancellation, humiliation or identification. Real anonymity.. A web built by artists and musicians alike, for the free exchange of ideas. For those of us that remember those days, it is a memory we will forever cherish. Thank you for reviving that spirit.
You always deliver when I already go through your ambients one by one during my study sessions for cybersec. Best sounds to learn to. Thank you!
Awesome soundscape, I love this dark, yet gentle and ethereal vibe.
Brutalist architecture fits best for this vibe
Reminds me of Skyline college in July!
The best ambience out of all RUclips ambience channels. This one is haunting and the picture is just insanely good.
In the rain-soaked twilight, the forgotten monolith whispers of a bygone era's secrets. Inside, the dimly lit corridors hum with the ghostly pulse of a once-powerful stronghold. Outside, the world moves on, oblivious to the stories etched in its concrete veins.
Yes the world is eternally dystopic
This brings to mind the shield generator facility in the forest on Endor. 😉
"It is quite safe from your pitiful little band".
Lovely composition again! Feels like a warm soft blanket around my ears.
can't stop listening to this, so calming
Dark Ambient is my 🌊
Fun fact: If we move our cursor around on the time counter, we see that currently (2023nov19) after 19:09 the whole video is marked "most replayed" lol, I've never seen that before, but I guess it might be common with ambient music vids. Tasty composition, btw. Liked & subbed. 👍
Magical and calming, great work 🌖
Wonderful music! Absolutely wonderful! Send me more music like that! A priceless gift! Thank you a lot for your existence Eternal Dystopia Music!🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺🌺
Very cool type of music I just have discovered it to myself and it's wow
I wish I had a photograph of this
Excellent work, love the atmosphere
I just love the research/science/laboratory ambient music. I'm obsessed 😍
Amazing. Thx❤❤
It had been a mine once, with two enormous drifts and their skip elevators angling downward into a mountainside.
Now the locals are told it has been turned into a scientific research center, supporting "a scientific experiment" constructed in the old mine caverns deep underground.
But although many have asked what the experiment is, either no answer is received, or the person who asked becomes confused and cannot recall receiving any answer.
It's hard to tell just what visitors are told, because people who visit the center come back to town subtly different, their demeanor more dreamy and distant than before.
Strange humming and other sounds eminate from within, not quite musical, yet seemingly more purposeful than mere noise.
The townspeople avoid the place because the closer anyone gets to it, the more uncomfortable and fearful they feel.
The really weird thing is that while there people visible, moving in the windows from time to time, no one has ever been seen to enter or leave the structure.
Do they live in there?
Yes they do. Now that it rains almost every day. Since the explosion
Incredible! ❤
Stunning mix (as usual); stunning pic (as usual). Never disappointed. Congrats !!
❤ beautiful and melancholicly threating at once, feeling of some uncertain hope
Wow, there are so many cool finds on RUclips! Awesome channel and soundscapes! 🤍
This is really nice ambience!!
There should be a 10 hour Research Center video 🙂
Another fantastic dark ambient channel I shall now subscribe to, thank you for the superb content
