@@AmusingSurgeon Oh, thank you for your comment! What are you reading at the moment? I've been reading Junji Ito's stuff for a while during quarantine :)

Confession: I quit my job due to the stress of the pandemic in order to go to school full time. I'm sitting here now worrying about my financial future and my chance at being successful. I am so painfully overwhelmed that I feel like giving up on everything. This music alleviates my anxiety in a way that 'talking' hasn't. Thank you Mount Shrine and Cryo Chamber. Thank you for being the flickering light in this dark scary mind of mine.
Hi, hope you're well. I also quit my job, due to the pandemic, but for health reasons. I am on unemployment benefits for the 2nd time in my life. I'm 52. Sometimes I stress a little, and get anxious, but I'm getting thru. I strongly believe things happen for a reason. You just have to go with the flow, and believe in yourself and trust the universe. I was absolutely gutted to find out he passed. IMO, he was one of the best dark ambient artists out there. One could feel the passion he had for his art. Sleep in peace, Cesar!
First of all, I'd like to thank Cryo Chamber for keeping the video on your channel. I'm Brazilian, just like Cesar and something, at least curious, happened to me. I have a type of chronic migraine called "Aura". The aura can occur from several factors including stress and in the COVID pandemic I learned to "meditate" with Dark Ambient. That's because meditation helps stop migraines. Then I discovered this video during one of my "seizures" and started listening to it. I ended up sleeping with the headset in my ear. That night, I had a dream of a young man in a glass coffin being veiled. I woke up and told my husband about how I found the dream strange. When I re-searched for this video the next day, I saw in the comments that the person who created the music had died not long ago. I found the situation kind of surreal and I hesitated to write about my dream. I decided to write now because, with people going through as many problems as I do, I have to say, I think we are all connected in some way. I'm glad we found this beautiful work. [Sorry my rusty English] R.I.P. Cesar.
Shoutout to everyone listening to this at night trying to help soothing their souls in these times. It’s been a really hard year and even harder for others, but I genuinely hope everyone who has found their way to this video finds some peace soon.
Cesar, you're no longer here with us. Nobody knows if there's a thing such as souls, but in the case that such a thing doesn't exist; Your ambient works and music are the closest thing we'll ever get to feeling what it's like to listen to one.

I only just learned of his passing when I listened to his music again today. I went to his RUclips channel and his bio really resonated with me. "some of it isn't that good, but all of it is done with pure sincerity" R.I.P Cesar.
Empty Slopes is such a beautiful, minimalistic composition. It's unbelievably calming, I literally feel my heart slowing down when I listen to that tune.
same. I still come back to it. It's the first song I heard by Mount Shrine years ago. Never, ever heard anything like it before or since. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Even the name is flawless.
Listening to these songs, I often find myself imagining myself surviving a pandemic that has wiped out 99% of humanity; everyone you knew has passed away, you are alone, sitting in an empty and silent world. You only feel an immense dizziness, where a cold sadness merges with a feeling of fullness. And suddenly my kids come home from school slamming doors and knocking over everything in their path. And I feel happy. Thank you so much for sharing this music.
Just heard of his passing, and I just recently got 3 of his albums from CryoChamber. Really sucks that we lost such talented person. I always enjoy listening to all of his stuff. Rest in piece.
Thank you to Cryo Chamber and Mount Shrine / Lindsheaven for these serenading euphonious music that my ears just can not get enough of. You guys genuinely make life more enjoyable with everything you put into your art. I recently heard that the person who was a part of this passed away, rest in peace. May you soar high.
i remember being in a really dark place last year and this playlist always brought me such comfort whenever i needed it. i can't describe what exile and subtotem mean to me bc out of all cesar's discography they touched me the most. i'm so sad to come back here and read about his passing ... may he find peace, i hope he found comfort in the fact that he touched a lot of people with his music
I'm having a hard time with the fact that this man is no longer with us still to this day. I absolutely love Winter Restlessness, the album is so meaningful to me. It will always hold a very special place in my heart and I always come back to it when I'm in need of comfort. And everytime I listen to it, it brings back the feeling of hearing it for the first time. Thank you Cesar, your music will live on forever.
me too. I couldn't listen for a while. I was so excited for his new music. His music always brings me a special calmness. There's nothing else quite like it. Even though I never met or knew him, it's like a piece of his soul is in these songs. It hurts so much that new songs won't come. Thank you Cesar for all your music.
Been listening to this since the day it was released. Every time I go outside for a walk I'm listening to this. The surreal feeling it gives me each and everytime without fail is out of this world. It calms me so much. I doubt I'll find anything like this out there. I wish he were still with us. Rest in peace, Cesar. I hope wherever you are is as serene and tranquil as the music you made.
I was just coming back to this awesome playlist and now I learn that the man behind those beautiful tracks is dead... Life sucks man. I hope he's at peace.
RIP Cesar, I will never forget you/your works man. crying this early morning thinking how paradisically calming your music is. We lost such a talented individual too soon.
All of Cesar's music, especially Subtotem is just so insanely good. Nothing short of masterpieces. I hope that wherever he is right now, he's happy and feeling the same wonderful feelings he felt while making his music. Rest easy my guy. Hope to see you someday.
This mix has become my personal go-to whenever I can't sleep. Thank you Cesar, for making ambient music that's more than just a drone, but a slight melody that lulls you away to a nice dream.
This ambient mix from Mount Shrine literally just got to hit me in the fucking heart right now, good God- this is the most beautiful mix to ever bless my heart with such feels
The amount of effort that goes into the visuals for these videos is underappreciated. Mount Shrine was by far my favorite artist for the label, and the animations only add to the vibe. Thank you!
I am so very grateful for this score, it makes me feel so safe and calm. It oddly reminds me of the world of Blade Runner, and how once you accept what a broken world we live in, you don't have to negotiate with the pain and the loneliness. They become gentle totems of feeling, counteracting numbness and emptiness, and set you free to experience new stuff in it's own light, unburdened by hope.
I know you're dead, Cesar from Brazil, but I wanted you to know anyway that at gone 3am on Boxing Day 2022, I was listening to your mix while reading my book, The Collector by John Fowles, alone in bed. I'm always alone these days, Cesar, but your music makes it easier, even enjoyable sometimes. Thank you.
I just discovered that guy like just now and i read the comments it's heartbreaking knowing that this man could've done so much more beautifull soundtracks and that he had to leave so early :,( R.I.P Cesar
Whenever you are, Cesar, I hope that true peace and tranquility has found you. While with us, you gave us all unprecedented serenity with your incredible field recordings, drone and penchant for the ambient. Knowing such a young so, imagination has left this Earth and I realize we are left without a close second of caliber. Nevertheless, I take time then, now and forever into the future to enshrine my psyche with the blissful sounds of your legacy. Your impact is perpetual, Cesar. I love you and I miss you
Really incredible. I'm even more shocked to learn it was Lindsheaven. For those that don't know, he's one of the absoulte best in the vaporwave scene and extremely famous there for his great work. He'd make complete remixes out of Old jazz songs, Sade, Old Bosnova songs you name it. Had zero clue he did dark ambient/ambient work. It really is a damn shame to see him pass because his music actually really slaps. As you can tell, never any BS from him as he put it all in every track. May you RIP Lindsheaven. We never met but your music has helped us all and so much more.

Rest in peace, Cesar. This is still one of the best ambient music and videos on the internet. The haunting PS2 era type vibe, slightly Silent Hill, slightly Stephen King, as if the world you know just slightly shifted and transformed.
I received a lot of support from your sound during a certain important and difficult period of my life. Thank you!
Still listening to your masterpieces daily... miss you so much Cesar. RIP man.
Been listening to this ever since it dropped. I listen each time i can from start to finish. Peace be upon you Mount Shrine “Cesar Alexandre” Lindshaven Virtual Plaza. Your music was something I just connected too. One of a kind and once in a lifetime type of human. I know you’re with God, Creator of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Much love bretheren💯💙👊🏾🫂
Rest in peace now, Mount Shrine. Maybe you'll finally find a winter that isn't restless.
One of the greatest. Rest In Peace my friend.
R.I.P Mount Shrine. Your soul will live on through your music. You've accomplished the mission of providing tranquility, ascension, and fortitude to the minds you have touched with your work. You've done your deed in this great temporariness; hope you fare well now, in the cosmos.
Such beautiful words to describe Cesar's oeuvre and the power of his music. Thank you friend for thanking him, our friend, in such elegant manner. Peace to you and to Cesar, wherever he may now be. {--+o+--}
RIP Caesar. Your soul lives on through your music. Thank you for giving us this beautiful piece of your heart. See you on the other side, brother.
Oh no
I love that the transition between songs is so smooth, it feels like a one-hour long song
I will forever hold Cesar's music in my heart
ive been listening to this consistently for months while im at work since january, it makes me long for going home and being alone and quiet just hanging with my cats but also for solitude and darkness and cold of winter. its like a warm fire
This has always been a go to for relaxing and meditation for me. True zen. Thank you cryo and for the late Cesar, this has truly touched my heart. Rest easy Cesar, you have truly blessed us.
RIP Cesar... You helped me in my worst times I wish you finally found peace 🙏
May you find the same peace you gave to us with your art wherever you are. At least, my Mout Shrine trilogy physical ed. will be here with me.
Thank you for everything, Cesar. We will miss you.
RIP mount shrine. Your music lives on to enjoy and inspire. All the best
This reminds of Silent Hill but without the horror, truly isolated, a mystic lake without wind, drifting through space alone.
Especially Subtotem. It reminds me of sitting in the Cafe in the first game while talking to Cybil.
I can totally see some of his songs in a new silent hill game. I almost feel like some could fit in a re-master of SH2. RIP Cesar
@@corkscrewfoley reminds me of the background synth in Day of Night in Silent Hill 2
Sometimes I wish Silent Hill was ONLY the relaxing part.
@@yourewallsareveryconvenien8292 The closest game that gave the same feeling was stalker, walking through a foggy Pripyat and all of its empty buildings was very relaxing.
I just learned the news about Mount Shrine. Hearbreaking. But through his music, he will live on.
I’m not really lonely or sad just really needed some ambient cryo. I’m not usually into ambient music but it’s what I’m drawn to now to help me relax and sleep
just saw the comments on cesar’s passing and i couldn’t help shed a few tears. this playlist amongst his other music has taken me to worlds i never could’ve imagined and helped comfort me in my lowest times. i hope he realized how much his music helped and inspired so many people around the world. thank you for being with us cesar, may you rest in paradise and i hope you found the worlds these songs capture 🖤
I only just learned of his passing when I listened to his music again today. I went to his RUclips channel and his bio really resonated with me.
"some of it isn't that good, but all of it is done with pure sincerity"
R.I.P Cesar.
Yeah it's one of the best things I've heard, but after his passing I can't listen to it anymore without tearing up.
Rest in Peace. Thank you for your beautiful creation. Farewell!
Good job it's my favorite one of Cryo ... Rest in Peace maestro
No words...thank you for everything. We will always find your personality and yours thoughts through your music. You will not be forgotten.
Miss you brother. Always find myself here whenever im feeling low. You always help me find my way out the fog again. Thank you.
Rest in peace Cesar. Thank you for staying with me all the late nights drawing and writing...
Just heard of his passing, and I just recently got 3 of his albums from CryoChamber. Really sucks that we lost such talented person. I always enjoy listening to all of his stuff. Rest in piece.
R.I.P. to an incredible artist. May you find solitude in the Mountains of Peace.
One of the best ambient composers out there. R.I.P.
Thank you, Cesar, for the masterpieces you have created. You and your work will always be in my heart.
rest in peace.. damn i listen to this every night to sleep and just now looked at the comments to see this dudes been gone for a year. Wow
i remember being in a really dark place last year and this playlist always brought me such comfort whenever i needed it. i can't describe what exile and subtotem mean to me bc out of all cesar's discography they touched me the most. i'm so sad to come back here and read about his passing ... may he find peace, i hope he found comfort in the fact that he touched a lot of people with his music
Forever grateful for your work, Cesar.
Sweet dreams beautiful space brother. Your music will live on throughout are hearts and minds. R. I. P.
Feel the same, I'm still grieving for him. I can't get over it, makes it impossible to enjoy his music like I used to
This is the tv set i had in my childhood.
this is so special music... on repeat. r.i.p. Cesar
Rest in Peace Mount Shrine :(
RIP Cesar. I didn't know you in real life but I can tell you had a beautiful soul. Thanks for the wonderful art.
You have no idea how your music saves me from all the shits my life's giving me. So thank you.
I hope wherever you are is as serene and tranquil as the music you made.
so relaxing, like to come home from work, close my door, sit in my chair with a drink, and just listen to this in the silence
The rain in the song at 50:45 started right when it starting ranging in Minecraft as I was playing on a server. Cool.
A wise turtle 🐢 once said, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. that's why it's called present❤❤️ very good music
This video has helped me a lot. It is so soothing to listen to. It is sad to know that mount shrine is gone.
May you rest in peace.
1 year anniversary of this video. I've listened to it many times over the past year, rest in peace Cesar.
2nd anniversary of this video. Mount Shrine’s music keeps me coming back night after night. You truly do live on through your sound
This ambient mix from Mount Shrine literally just got to hit me in the fucking heart right now, good God- this is the most beautiful mix to ever bless my heart with such feels
Yep i always visit this playlist everyday it calms me down and i love it, im glad its getting more attention.
That moment of the day, when I stare at the screen listening to this.
A music for my soul.
Indeed
