@void nebula Agree. While working on post apocalyptic book my background music is 90% of the time is Cryo Chamber mixes.Found it really beautiful and relaxing for some reason.
It's so funny how it seems like a lot of us writers find ourselves gravitating towards these videos while writing. I love a lot of this stuff for writing dystopian sci-fi.
I spent the past weekend listening to this while hiking in some really remote, lonely places. The artwork is spot on and the mix is awesome. That rainy cabin looks like somewhere I'd want to be
I found this channel recently and it has quickly become my go to place for music when i work on art commissions, read or sometimes when I am restless, I put it on at night as a back noise to help me fall asleep. I absolutely love the atmosphere these make reminding me of my former go to music, Silent hill ost, but with less of an oppressive feel. It's like being in Silent hill after you accepted all your sins and demons and all that is left is empty town for you to wander around and feel your own insignificance in the universe.
Night so close to the tongue is perhaps my favorite dark ambient track. It was among the first i ever heard abd its one that has stuck with me to this day
I was really getting into another of your playlists, thinking, I need to write..." this is perfect music for the bleak landscape I'm living after 1) being hit by a drunk driver, putting me in a wheelchair, and then subsequently 2) having my girlfriend of 6 years leave me afterwards, while stranded in a state I never lived in before,,,," and lol & behold...here I find SONGS FOR THE ABANDONED....wow. You really hit it with this one.
I think 28:40 is my all time favorite. Just the fact that someone can come up with those kind of sounds (firework, wtf?) and make it work together in such an ominous way is just beyond me. Well done.,
48:44 This song perfectly captures the vision of the beginning to Portal 2's Aperture Science facility. You're waking up an uncountable amount of years after falling asleep in cryo only to see the place you were just at a simple nap ago completely empty, void of human life, and torn apart. The remnants of testing chambers still remain with beams of sunlight peeking through the ceiling above only to aid in plant life growing on the once sterile floor. You're alone with no-one to accompany you other than a ball on a monorail track on the ceiling with a "human" personality.
I love these mixes. The natural flow between one track and the next is amazing. And they come up usually more varied than a single album of a single artist. But there's a big problem, at least for me: being youtube videos, I can't listen to them in audio-only contexts. It would be amazing if Cryo Chamber started a podcast in which each episode is a mix: have you ever considered that?
Would love for you to make this one, and a few others that have motion that you have created, about 6/8 hrs long. I use posts like these to help me at night w my lifelong constant battle against my insomnia. It would be more helpful to me than you could ever imagine. I would love you to consider this. Thank you.
AC & Eldar's song gives me Rain World vibes; that percussion sounds like the downsampling I'd hear in RW's music. This sounds like a Subterranean track; love it (also cant find that track anywhere else on yt) Edit: just figured out ac is short for atrium carceri. now i found the track. lol.
Cryo Chamber, Arnie sent me. He said to say, "YOU LACK DISCIPLINE". He expects you to turn your mixes into muscle. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news.
I am lost in all of these ambient mixes every time i start writing another chapter of the book. This music really helps while writing.

No doubt. I actually change things I've written ages ago when I hear something like "Night so Close to the Tongue".
what book? when do you think it will be ready to publish?
Just wait till you get to the editing... Holy... Fuck...

Apocryphos knows his shit. But you are gonna make me cry putting Enmarta up there, cause 4 fucking years without another album.
Okay, yes. I would like to order a Cryo Chamber flag please.
Actually, I would love to buy one too! Is it available anywhere? Looked through the website, didn't manage to find it there
Same same same
For some reason, something I wrote on another app was commented on RUclips. Sorry about that.
I don't know why……

Every time I think I want a new Cryo Chamber mix... a new one drops. Another great mix!
I definitely like your hour mixes, and this is another one which has struck gold. Your artists are akin to modern day sonic alchemists.
I miss Cryobiosis 🥺

The fact that I have yet to discover playlists like this one that are out there in the world waiting for me makes the internet exciting

Solid playlist, Cryo Chamber. Digging up some of the older scores I see.

Seems a bit different than the backgrounds/images used in most of your dark ambient vids, but I'm certainly not complaining. :)
Would love to meditate in this room.
