I'm not a religious person, but I can't be the only one who likes to walk around centuries old churches and mosques just because of the damn history of the place.
The first track is one of the most majestic beautifully haunting pieces my ears ever picked up. When you're homeless and managed to drag a semi clean mattress onto a secluded place and use your backpack as a pillow, it hits you differently how beautifully haunted the observation of the moonlight is as the music plays. Because there's no roof over one's head.
Imagine you are walking in a very thick forest that appears to have never been explored, and you find a run down temple in middle of nowhere. You decide to go inside, it is empty of any life, but you hear this music.
You make your way to the balcony and find that a church choir and Vangelis have been lost here for 23 years, surviving only on roving insects and ghost slime. You show them some video to catch them up on the outside world, and they throw you out, demanding that you vow secrecy on their location.
When the modern world is too much (as it often is), this heals my soul. I would love to come back in the afterlife, wandering through another dimension of mystical places, hearing music just like this.

Day 357 I had wondered the sands for what felt as centuries. The world as I had known it was gone. The sickness that had befallen man had claimed many. A perverbial devil had risen and although blood was on his hands, many still chose to follow him. For myself 30 years in life had produced nothing save for five volumes of works no one wished to read. Yet, who would think of reading at a time like this. I had decided to leave this forgotten plane of nothingness. Perhaps in my mind I could find solace. A day ago I had met a man who only addressed himself as the lone vestment. From his lips I learned of a forgotten temple, lost to time. 600 paces North with the broken. " there you will find what your realm could never provide. There you will find..." Yet he would not say. Only for I to discover.

RUclips keeps recommending these mixes and all I can think of is places in a dnd world. This as an example, the players are traveling and exploring the world and the cities it has to offer. One city that they'll hear of during their travels, or somewhere they've previously visited, is a metropolis gargantuan city filled with life and happy people. It's a wonderland. But as they come to it, or revisit it, it's quiet... Everyone's gone... There's no sign of a battle taking place, no signs of where the people are, where they went, how they're gone, why are they gone, nor a way to get them all back. The players have to figure out how to get everything back to normal in the city, saving everyone.
That first piece of music reminds me of the temple of time in legend of Zelda Ocarina of time, and the story of the fame and the events of fabled prophecies that come to pass. How beautiful. It should also be used in a dark souls game if they ever continue

One of my goals is to actually visit the Hagia Sophia (museum). Once a church, then a mosque...The place where both religions are at merge in terms of architecture.
I've been there once, it was vey beautiful. I would definitely recommend visiting Istanbul, there's a lot of cool stuff to see and cool people to meet :)
I would often sit quietly inside St. John the Divine Cathedral in upper NYC (the world’s largest BTW) and listen to the ambience within... they would often play and/or perform live chorale music... very much like this! Very progressive church.. if you’re ever in NYC, I strongly recommend you visit.

I might not be religous but sometimes in my life ive wandered onto places that have a strange mystical feeling usually i found these places alone. Sometimes when wandering the forests and once i found a church hidden in florence i just felt drawn to got there not knowing what kind of place i was wandering into. I wonder why i was drawn to these places. This music connect nicely to that feeling and those places.
This trips me out for some reason. I can't tell if it's from religious trauma, the zone-out music being used, or the god/demon complex I have. Whatever the case, this gives me a vivid image.. and it's a lonely one.
@@chickletsushi2761 Why, sure! Sorry for the late reply, though. Here's some major writers whose works I've been studying on History of Russian Literature. First of all, of course, count Lev Tolstoy: "War and Peace", "Anna Karenina" and his early work "Sevastopol Sketches". Next, Ivan Turgenev: "Mumu", "Rudin", "On the Eve", "Fathers and Sons", "Home of the Gentry". And last, but not least, Fyodor Dostoevsky: "Crime and Punishment", "Poor Folk", "Notes from Underground", "The Idiot", "Demons" and my favourite (yet unfinished) "The Brothers Karamazov". Oh, a word of advice: if you want to feel the individual styles of these writers, don't read them in Garnett's translation. I appreciate that she brought our literature to American readers, but she can't keep the style, that's why all three aforementioned writers sound same in her translation.

One of my goals is to actually visit the Hagia Sophia (museum). Once a church, then a mosque...The place where both religions are at merge in terms of architecture.
:/ I can't see that place as a normal place, that will always be a sad place for me.
I've been there once, it was vey beautiful. I would definitely recommend visiting Istanbul, there's a lot of cool stuff to see and cool people to meet :)
This is amazing hour is unrivaled in it's quality. The picture compliments it and fits so well.

I would often sit quietly inside St. John the Divine Cathedral in upper NYC (the world’s largest BTW) and listen to the ambience within... they would often play and/or perform live chorale music... very much like this! Very progressive church.. if you’re ever in NYC, I strongly recommend you visit.
Sublime...complimenti..italia2020👃🌾🌕🌈

Europe has the most beautiful culture ever ❤
Medieval Europe was a lot better than people think, a lot of advancements and works of art/culture comes from that period
@@2555Edu I think you mean Renaissance.
@@shalomcollege6482 no no, I really mean the medieval period, the bad fame this period has comes from the enlightment, but medieval europe had amazing advancements in engeneering, mathematics, philosophy and art, a good book I recommend is "How the Catholic Church built the Western Civilization" by Thomas Woods, it's a great book that summarizes what I'm talking about
Eduardo Rezende of course.
@@2555Edu I've read it some time ago. Indeed a fabulous book.
This mix is simply divine ❤

I might not be religous but sometimes in my life ive wandered onto places that have a strange mystical feeling usually i found these places alone. Sometimes when wandering the forests and once i found a church hidden in florence i just felt drawn to got there not knowing what kind of place i was wandering into. I wonder why i was drawn to these places. This music connect nicely to that feeling and those places.

This trips me out for some reason. I can't tell if it's from religious trauma, the zone-out music being used, or the god/demon complex I have.
Whatever the case, this gives me a vivid image.. and it's a lonely one.
This is Friggn great, I can trace my roots to the 7th century and I picture my family in these times. They were living it up which in turn brought me.

Oh boy, this music is perfect for reading late XIX century Russian classic literature! Nothing matches its grim outlook better than this!
Студия КвС i was looking for something like this to listen while reading Crime and Punishment, too bad I found it just now
Could you suggest some books? My library mostly consists of classic English and French literature. I'd be delighted to further expand it.
I'm reading; The history of all ages - Manly P Hall

22
For wisdom, which is the worker of all things, taught me: for in her is an understanding spirit holy, one only, manifold, subtil, lively, clear, undefiled, plain, not subject to hurt, loving the thing that is good quick, which cannot be letted, ready to do good,
23
Kind to man, steadfast, sure, free from care, having all power, overseeing all things, and going through all understanding, pure, and most subtil, spirits.
24
For wisdom is more moving than any motion: she passeth and goeth through all things by reason of her pureness.
25
For she is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the glory of the Almighty: therefore can no defiled thing fall into her.
26
For she is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of his goodness.
27
And being but one, she can do all things: and remaining in herself, she maketh all things new: and in all ages entering into holy souls, she maketh them friends of God, and prophets.
28
For God loveth none but him that dwelleth with wisdom.
29
For she is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it.
30
For after this cometh night: but vice shall not prevail against wisdom.
1
Wisdom reacheth from one end to another mightily: and sweetly doth she order all things.
2
I loved her, and sought her out from my youth, I desired to make her my spouse, and I was a lover of her beauty.
3
In that she is conversant with God, she magnifieth her nobility: yea, the Lord of all things himself loved her.
4
For she is privy to the mysteries of the knowledge of God, and a lover of his works.
5
If riches be a possession to be desired in this life; what is richer than wisdom, that worketh all things?
6
And if prudence work; who of all that are is a more cunning workman than she?
7
And if a man love righteousness her labours are virtues: for she teacheth temperance and prudence, justice and fortitude: which are such things, as men can have nothing more profitable in their life.
8
If a man desire much experience, she knoweth things of old, and conjectureth aright what is to come: she knoweth the subtilties of speeches, and can expound dark sentences: she foreseeth signs and wonders, and the events of seasons and tim.

"As you enter the chamber, you see a soldier strapped to the alter above a opened stone door. The door has runes that you remember to have been glowing with a faint light, but no longer. As you inspect the body you find his torso was impaled by something; he's dead. His blood still flows into tiny grooves that you didn't notice before." What do you do?
Pray for the soldier so that he may find some semblance of rest. But you yourself cannot stop, a journey once started is not so easily ceased.
