Bro I fucking love you! I just got into ace combat on pc and I had the hotas 4 because I used to play elite dangerous on Playstation but I couldn't for the life of me figure out why steam wasn't registering my throttle. You're awesome bro.

I have a similar issue, but my issue is my throttle will only register 50-100% throttle but won’t register less than 50% (Simply put: Physical throttle on idle registers as 50%) and I’ve tried quite literally everything I can find
I have done everything I can, but my flight stick forces my camera upwards and is stuck there, or while flying forces it downward(inverted) into the ground and forces the aircraft I'm flying to crash. The directional movements seem to get stuck in that direction, even when I let go of it. I've updated drives, restarted everything, tried different settings. I still lose control of my camera when in game using the Hotas (One/X) on PC.
I have followed the video to a tee but I am still unable to make any control work in game. I should also add that I am using XP11. It is calibrated in game but when I go to move the joystick or the throttle nothing responds in the cockpit... Any ideas?

Is that simple. I wonder if this is covered in the user start up guide? Windows update sometimes finds the drivers for such devices. Won't hurt to open your Windows Update and to see if it says something about "Optional updates".

I had my throttle go out on me on an Airfield, as I was taxiing. It was the first of many wonky examples, where I have to hold the skinny part of the B2 button, but not too much otherwise it doesn't work.... and when it does, it augments differently than it has in the past. I was wondering if this is the solution for the problem, i wrote the developer of the Airfield i was at (3rd party) and said Hey!!! Your airport broke my throttle! 😄 I'll check it out. Thanks for your helpful vid mate.
@@Huddison yeah I’ve switch it from pc/Xbox depending what I’m trying to use it on and it’s completely unresponsive. I’ve been trying to update it on the pc but yeah absolutely no signals for the pc to even detect it
My HOTAS (Winwing Orion 2) works, but does have an issue. When I move the throttle, I see that the throttle in the aircraft in the sim…. any aircraft, they all do it… doesn’t start moving till my HOTAS throttle is at about 50%. And of course, the aircraft engine does the same thing. Now, in the controls setup, the little white indicator bars move with the HOTAS throttle like they should. So the game is seeing the correct input from the throttle. But some kind of setting somewhere is keeping the throttle in the aircraft from moving correctly. Here’s the kicker. I have another MSFS install through Steam. The throttle in that one works just fine with this same HOTAS. What kind of setting would cause se this? The axis sensitivity settings are exactly the same in both installs.
Have you got it set up on a different throttle Axis (1,2,3 etc)? It's difficult to tell without seeing your actual settings; Discord will be a good place to show these.
I have not tried other settings. As I said, the settings in the game pass install are identical to the Steam install. The Steam install works fine. Incidentally, I tried my HOTAS in another game on Gamepass last night. It was a space sim but it was still set up as a HOTAS. It worked fine. The throttle in the ship responded to the HOTAS throttle exactly like it was supposed to. It seems to be only an issue with the Gamepass version of MSFS. I wish there was a way to take all the add ons from that one and put them in the Steam install.

For some reason when I got to the control panel it was completely different. I have a Hotas one and I'm not sure how different that would make my experience, it wont allow me to check the game controller settings. I just got it to work, but for everyone with the new windows update you have to look up game controllers directly to open it because they way he does it will bring you to settings now. Hope this helps for anyone trying to figure it out for hours like I was.

It lets you detach the throttle and stick - check underneath the Hotas.

This one needs the thrustmaster driver to get it working properly.

You have put the selector switch at the front of the unit, to either PC/Xbox (depending which you're connecting it to?

In the "Game Controllers" window, it doesn't say "T. Flight HOTAS 4" and I get a different window when I hit properties
Is that the case after installing the drivers?
@@Huddison thanks for the reply and yes, it's the latest drivers. Instead of "T. Flight HOTAS 4" it says "6 axis 14 button device with hat switch'

I have the same throttle and the exact same problem but it’s through my “X” Box. How do I do what you did on XBox?
You can't do this same procedure on Xbox.
Ensure you have the Hotas set fully in Xbox mode.
On that one, the PlayStation one is there a little switch on the back that makes it go between xbox and pc?
Not on the Hotas 4 - works on my PS4 & PC, just by simply plugging it in.

Ifound it, but when i click the properties, it still shows up the red page one. not the green. and the device still has the red light up
