Hey Q8, I had this one probably 8 years ago and as an entry-level HOTAS I loved it! My favourite feature was the rudder 'rocker' axis on the back of the throttle, which in my opinion is the best possible substitute for rudder pedals. I actually wish more intermediate offerings had this feature instead of the rudder twist.
It may be for beginners but I have been using one of the predecessors of this stick, the T Flight Hotas X for over 10 years now. We all may dream about being rich one day but realistically that doesn't happen, so my budget simply never increased. Fortunataly it still does the job and was built well enough to last this long without any problems at all. Mine has a switch on it to select between pc or ps3, tells you something about how long ago these things have been designed. Amazingly you can still buy the model I've got new for around $70. To anyone who's been using keyboard or a controller up to this point, would definitely recommend.
Thanks for the video. 05:15 I like the idea of a button that either fires missiles or contacts ATC. Don't want to get that the wrong way around :D (Just a bit of fun, nice video).
I have been flight simming for some years, started out with the Thrustmaster officer pack but couldn't afford rudder pedals, so I picked this up on a sale with the stick and rudder pedals in a package and I find myself using this one more than the Airbus sticks. I'm very satisfied with it.
Hope you get a good one. I've had to replace mine 9 times in 3 years!! Not joking the quality sucks! If you use it for daily use expect it to last about 4 months before you start getting Ghost inputs from one of the Axis, Usually the twist grip!
I have a logitech attack 3 joystick, it's old. It worked well for google earth flight simulator and MSFS X but it just doesn't cut it with MSFS 2020 - it cannot keep the plane steady in the air; I have to get the autopilot engaged otherwise the plane is very uncontrollable and I crash - I've messed with all of the sensitivity/reactivity settings with no luck. I'm gonna buy this one after your great review and actually showing the joystick in use with MSFS 2020. Thank you for taking the time to do a thorough review.
Great review my friend , I had this setup years ago and it served me well. The rudder rockers are especially valuable to someone just starting out in Fltsim without spending a great deal. I have always liked Thrustmaster as they offer function with real value
My only other HOTAS experience is with the Hori Ace Edge from the Xbox 360, and they also had the yaw control rocker switch on the throttle! Question if you happen to see this though, would you say this one stays put on your desk, or does it shift around?
Hi and thank you for your video. I am about to start with msfs2024 and now I’m wondering to buy this one ( well , the white msfs edition is in pre order now so prob will choose that one ) orrrr the TB Velocity One. Price is about the same in Holland. What would be your pick and why ? Thank you in advance !!
@@holeekow1766 my white one arrived today and I own the velocity they are quite different experiences I would recommend this it seems more beginner friendly(I’m not sure If you are)
@Naturevaly hey there mate. Mine also arrived today , also the white edition. I didn’t do anything yet because I have nightshift so not enough time to figure everything out 🙄😂 Nice it also had a code in it for ultimate game pass for one month 😬 I did choose this one because of what you just said , beginner friendly and I am a msfs virgin so that is what I am 😂
@ yes in the box there was a voucher with one month ultimate code. Probably in yours also. I will have time on Thursday , I don’t want to rush things because with a game I never played before ánd a new stick , there is much to explore and figure out for me 😂 so better I give myself a few hours to see what it’s all about.
My experience with this. My first hotas was a T. flight 4 the version releasef for ps4 and pc back in the days, around 2017-2018. I used 4 of these until I upgraded for a twcs and t16000m hotas + pedal combo. Every one of these broke after a few months, longest was about 6 months. It doesn't have proper shielding around the potention meter for the twist axis, so alway had false inputs first on that. The soldering is very thin, so cables can broke off very easly. I doubt the t. flight one is any different from the older versions. My advice is save a little more and buy a better hotas. This hotas is poorly desinged. Only scenario in which I can recommend this is if you buy it from a retailer with instant replace policy. The store I bought mine from didn't have that, also was a shady company, changed name and everything after my replacement for the first hotas arrived, so after that broke (the second one) it was really hard to find and contact them and had to wait 3 months for my 3rd hotas (second replacement). After my 4th hotas broke I just gave it up and bought a better one.

Contacting the missile would be weird 😮
@@Bill-uf6os Or firing ATC ;)

Great video! I just purchased this stick so I was very glad to find your review, thanks!
I’ve got mine coming tomorrow and this video has made me so much more excited

Mine seems to be working fine, thanks for the heads up though :)

I have been using this stick for a couple of years and it works really well.
They need to sacrifice 1 or 2 buttons and put trim wheels on these damn things
It essentially has two different rudder controls, and MSFS2020 automatically maps the rudder control on the throttle as the elevator trim.
My only other HOTAS experience is with the Hori Ace Edge from the Xbox 360, and they also had the yaw control rocker switch on the throttle! Question if you happen to see this though, would you say this one stays put on your desk, or does it shift around?
My Hotas 1 came with rudder pedals I'm loving it just a brilliant and very affordable flight sim controller.😀
Tks for your review... I think that I'll buy it asap. I'm a beginner and I like MFS 2024 on my Xbox :)
Im in between purchasing this one or the pxn 2119 and I’m not sure which to get since they’re both around the same price
