Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to RUclips videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. Lots of love, Man Moth.

you're making money off karls name?
i love the impression of karl eating hot food..cracks me up everytime
I'm on Karl's side regarding the NERD tickets. Steve's response is rickydiculous.
Steve's such an ingrate.
@@williamsmith666 i love it, the friction is hilarious. genuine friction between steve and karl here compare to the podcasts where its just mostly karl talking.
Yeah dunno wtf Steve's problem was here.
You at least give back ticket by ringing up the venue.
I'd have been livid
40:30 - 'Steve's looking annoyed' - brilliant from Karl
"he's done ya!"
that family fortune game took the wind out of this episode lmao. why is that lady calling in to some show she doesn't listen to? mind blowing
She fucking ruined it.
Best part has to be at 19:50 when Karl just changed attitude and comes out with "it's just a bit of fun for god's sake" it's amazing
I absolutely crack at that bit 😂
"Please do not blaspheme on air" 😂
@@Steve90UK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
he’s playing them like fiddles lol, King Karl
I love how funny Steve finds it as well
I remember listening to these when i was 17/18, then again at 21/22, again at some stage in my mid twenties, and im here im back aged 32. I feel like i will always revisit these.
12:47 R: Where you calling from?
Caller: From my pub in Barnes
R: You got a pub?
C: yeh
R: In Barnes?
C: yeh
Brilliant, Ricky. Brilliant.
Haha yeh
Don't know why i always got such a kick out of that bit. It's the way he sounds so fascinated about the fact this guy owns a pub
james howard I'm sure the guy meant he was calling from his local as opposed to actually owning the pub.
Barnes is lovely
Sony award winning wit from Gervais
The best part about listening back to this episode is going to the comment section and enjoy the hatred of smelly eyebrows girl
She's just so infuruating!
Radio people call them 'prize pigs'. They're just people who sit around ringing into every give away they can find.
I agree. Why would you call in to answer questions about someone you don't have any knowledge of?
She lost anyways
It's so cringy and embarrassing I can't actually listen to it
Count Mancula is one of the funniest impromptu things Ricky's ever done.
Milan Smidt and 90 others Got any Oasis an' that?
I agree
disagree
He can't see in mirror
I love the image of a Bonobo, umbrella & bowler hat with rudementery language skills.. 😂 'morning' 😂
15:41 I find it so funny when Karl goes “hang on” 😂
Jennifer didn't even know who Karl was.... She laughed at the fart noise every single time.
Nauseating slag, ruining the episode.
15:39 That Karl 'Hang on' had me in stitches
51:19 I lost it at Karl's Brummie 'Toto/2.2' line and Ricky and Steve's reaction to it, 20 years on and these are still gold
I love that Steve always stops Ricky from cutting Karl's stories short out of frustration, knowing that Karl is going to deliver pure comedy gold.
also saves him from having to do the work :P
people look at me weird in the gym when I'm laughing to myself listening to this comedy gold.
+Kirk Wilson Same. People usually assume you're listening to music so they think you're laughing at them.
My wife gave me that look a few times , now she simply asks “Pilkington”?
I do exactly same, nothing helps a big bench press go up easier than listening to these 3 legends
😂😂😂
Same. And Ive been doing it for 15 years so it clearly doesn’t really worry me.
It's actually genius. Little to no effort and spend the show either messing with Karl or talking about how bad the show is. It's just genius
The more of a shambles the better, the later podcasts got more structured and I don't find them as much fun
42:04 I will never not crack up when I hear Ricky snort just so slightly as he waits for Karl to say something completely insane. Just something about that sound in the silent pause between words. 😂😂
‘Table seven for one million protesters’ … gets me every time
I love that bit so much
Funniest moment, so jokes. 45:48
Will this be when they were protesting the Iraq War?
18:03 - For everyone that wants to skip XFamily Fortunes, and Smelly Eyebrows.
You're welcome.
I'm surprised Ricky and Steve didn't put the 'student/autograph/bookshop' anecdote into one of the Extras episodes. Always makes me chuckle.
It was turned into the bit where Andy has to visit the kid in hospital...
Unless I’m misremembering, I thought Ricky used that in one of his early stand ups
Where would my life be without these!
Rammstein and Red Dwarf - I would love that prize.
mmm. I would pop both in the bin.
2:35 - "A'ight...come to suck yer blud 'n' that, A'ight?" 2:55 - "Mancula, Count Mancula 'A'ight? You got any rave? Got any rave music, got any Oasis 'n' that?" xD
+Joey Lock His hair's a mess. ''Well, I can't see in the mirror, can I.'' XD
I was laughing so hard at that part
Pretty sure he's saying Verve not rave
I love listening to the podcasts of The Ricky Gervais Show on plane trips. I don’t care people look at me laughing to myself out loud. It makes long flights shorter.
I will never get tired of these podcasts.
49:15 HURRY UP one of Steve's best
I love the Count Mancula bit.
"I've come to suck yer blood 'n that"
so friggin' funny!
Ye got any rehv? Ye got any rehv music? Ah? Got any Owehsis or that?
i wouLD LOVE MOVIE BASED ON THAT, STARING KARL PILKBOYS AS VAMPIRE.
Goin' round suckin sense out of you...
"Right? I'm, eh...gonna suck ye blood'n that. ''s vampires do'n all that."
26:00 I love how they only just realized that in order to win the copy of the movie you have to have already seen the movie, or asked or looked it up and spoiled it for yourself!
35:08 The woman who had a baby... who had a baby
19:57 ‘please do not blaspheme on air’ cracks me up 😂
Count Mancula! Omg, I'd forgotten about that. :)
+Nu Eee "His hair is a mess because he can't see in the mirror."
Manc Drac
@@erizzle67 h
"The old... bin lid on the head"
"Bid Lin.. Lin Bid.. Bin Lid!!!" ;D
The smelly eyebrows lady was also the same woman who gave the first answer as “silliness” which was the top answer then gave her third answer as “very sensible”. Enough said.
She was indeed a complete moron
"Would've it been happy if you given him two nuts?"
What a genius thing to ask.
Rickys laugh is great after karl said there was a woman who had a baby who had a baby
One of the classic episodes.
'His hair's a mess' - 'well i can't see a mirror can i'
"Table seven for one million protestors!"
"We'll split it a million ways".. "I didn't have a starter!"
Before you know it, war breaks out.
Ricky: they have sex for pleasure
Karl: Steve's looking annoyed
One of his best insults!
Ricky should talk like the autograph-hunting fan for the whole show
Can you come to zee bookshop?
15:41 Karl in the background 😂
Ricky’s impression of Karl eating hot food gets me every time 🤣
Click bait was designed for Karl Pilkington
Its BT Sports hero from last year, James Williams. Small world.
How the hell did Ricky and Steve not remember the “red rum” part in “The Shining”
Weird, innit.
Found it strange that they thought only someone who's watched it over and over again would know. It's pretty significant
“THIS IS THE LAST ROCKBUSTERS EVER!”
… until the next episode🤣
I love it when Rockbusters gets canceled.
Steve got it wrong when he told ricky he was almost vertical. He meant horizontal
Always annoys me when they get such simple things wrong when you think of the absolute shit they give Karl 😂 He makes the same mistake when talking about his grandparents in bed
The tension in this ep was great! Loved it lol.
This would be perfect for gta radio 😂
Lol I love how Steve and Karl are worried about the quality of the show and Ricky says he likes it that way haha.
I loved Karl describing The Shining
"when the devil got 'im an tha"
"More than 8 people in that cafe." Good old times...
WHY DID SHE CHOOSE TO PLAY IF SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHO KARL IS
Perhaps she liked Ricky's TV work, listened in for the first time and thought I'll have a go at a game that she had no way of knowing was about Karl.
But I guess being judgemental is cool too.
coughcoughsigh she guessed that silliness is something that could be used to describe Karl then chose to play even though she had no who Karl was and just guessed he was silliness . Listen to the episode 30 times like the rest of us before leaving a dickish comment thanks
Ya exactly, she could’ve passed! I get why she called, but why choose play over pass
Andrew Seguin I have no idea what she must have been thinking. Imagine calling into your local radio station and they say “name something that could be used to describe Keith Roberts”. You guess get it right and then decide to continue guessing about who he is.
@@notmyname9261 Yep.
Around 11:55 Steve really manages to think on his feet and save face after his "hiring a woman" comment, very quick thinking!
Yea, that was a sexist remark he made...but quick recovery on his part.
@Jacob Jaywant I'm allowed my opinion. Besides, Arran made the original comment, so why come for me? And sorry, I'm not going anywhere...I love these guys!
@James Parker Exactly. I wish I was half as cool as that guy thinks he is.
@j mula what a tosser
It's really not sexist though, is it.

@@ganjaericco surely you've heard that song before
No Feeder for once =))
Steve seems to confuse Vertical and Horizontal pretty often
I suppose when you're that tall it's hard to tell what's vertical and what's horizontal
14:16 Steve mentions Rammstein, one of my favourite bands! Asche zu Asche is an absolute "gem". Another good one that steve doesn't mention is Du Hast
Rammstein don’t have any ‘good ones’.
Surely in Britain we’ve got a thousand better bands to listen to than Rammstein?
been listening for years, only just noticed ricky's pun on "monkey bonus" - "monkey bonobus" xD
49:12 Smerch rage
I legit listen to XFM radio/podcasts/his sky stuff probably 15 hours a day. He's the last voice I hear before I fall asleep chuckling to myself, pretty sad I know.....no shame though
That's mental.
@@Scallion_D tell me about it
I do the same lol
I have it on the background loads, there's something about the way the three of them flow that is so real and I'm always genuinely excited when monkey news starts, even though I've heard them all countless times, I think it's hearing Rick and Steve's reactions that make it so satisfying
@@mrmileskp lol
I've listened to these over and over but I seem to have forgotten this episode
They can't remember what the kid writes in The Shining? That's probably the most famous part of the movie...
I'd say the "Here's Johnny!!!" part is the most famous. x
Redrum or summit innit
Here's Johnny definitely the most famous.
He asks himself, did she say smelly eyebrows?
I always listen to these when doing DIY on a Saturday morning
Grouting up a ladder and that
Bollocks....absolute bollocks. That is what makes this show charming and repeatedly listenable!
"Table for 7 for 1 Million Protestors" 😂
How many times did Ricky decree the end of Rockbusters?
Jennifer is so annoying, she doesn't even know who Karl is? Is she for real?
Back then you have to remember it was just a Saturday radio show. Ricky was popular in the U.K. but the other two really weren’t that well known especially Karl.
With the shining being one of my favourite films of all time
This was absolutely golden !!!!
Horizontal*
Steve also gets horizontal and vertical the wrong way round in another ep, where he mentions about his grandparents staying in bed most of the day.
Bugs me every time I pass this episode.
Yep I was checking comments to see if someone else noticed before i said it
Yep I was checking comments to see if someone else noticed before i said it
TABLE 7 FOR 1 MILLION PROTESTERS !
43:13 "Morning, Sheila-ah-ah" 😂😂😂
They're discussing how bad their show is yet it's still listened to, over and over, many years later by thousands of people. Weird innit.
This episode might be the first one where things start to get a bit more tense!
Does anyone remember the episode I'm not sure whether its XFM or An Idiot Abroad but Karl's questioning the intelligence of the dolphin and he says ''why do people think they're so clever? What have they done? I've never read a book written by a dolphin.'' Brilliant ahha
That might be idiot abroad or that other, lesser known travel TV series he did (called something like the theory of happiness?)
@@gglreallysucks5512 'The Moaning Of Life' and that.
The quotes, why is there literally nobody I know that has even listened to these or could relate to so many of my jokes. I LOVE our community ! Just wish we could all meet up or have a group chat ! Ahahahaha. Love all my fellow pilkingtons
Go to r/rockbusters then
Dude, so agree. Sometimes I think, "If I ever see a girl in a bar talking about this show, I will drop to one knee and propose."
A life with a woman like that would be perfect.
Love you back :)
@@studkickass513 I’m here, trust me ahaha
@@georginablackwell7122 😆 LOL! You're in England though?
HURRY UP!!!
18 minutes in is when you can skip up if that “smelly eyebrows” woman makes you cringe too much
I actually can’t listen to that part
I like that Ricky defends Rammstein. Cool band.
43:18 - Morning Sheila, ah, ah!
Can't believe they didn't get 'round head' in XFamily Fortunes!
“A woman who had a baby who had a baby” always pops me
"Karate chop to the back of me neck!😂
Bin lid on the ed, and squeezing me ed, all in half an hour! Who else can say that??"😂
"I promise this is the last Rockbusters ever"
He Came....From Manchester.
51:22 Lmao Steve's laugh after "Toto!"
50:06 - Ricky breaks the fourth wall
50:58 - Nah, wall's fine
I've still never heard of Dan bloody Hill all these years later.
I wish I could of seen Ricky's imitation of Karl eating hot food
Watching this on valentines day too!
I love how Karl always says restaurant with a slightly French pronunciation
the birth of the head squeezing
Squoze.
28:40 this autograph story almost makes me laugh so much
It would have been a great scene in Extras
Cracks me up when Karl gets louder and more serious for comedic affect. "There's three Bonobo's sat on the back row."
Love this one
I don't know if I've ever heard Steve yell before.
"The northern lad remembered he had to tell his mums daughter somethin."
Oh yoke? No, no!
"Jesus..."
time to curl up in bed with my 3 favorite men...zzzzzz
They all listening to these podcasts with you? XD
Ha, good one.
Tart.
B Nap odfo.
That sounded gay
Table 7 for 1 million protestors!
I'm pretty surprised Ricky and Steve didn't know about restless leg syndrome. I thought that was a pretty well known disorder.
I dunno if it’s well known. It’s reasonably common but not surprising they haven’t heard of it. They also like taking the piss out of Karl
It's not that well known.
As someone who suffers from it, I was surprised too - it really is a horrible, horrible feeling; sometimes I have to get out of bed and march on the spot for a little while - can you imagine Ricky’s reaction if Karl admitted that?
I kind of think they did actually know what it was, but I think they like to play dumb and ask Karl to try to explain just to give them a laugh.
@@jamiel.harding4554 maybe Michael Flatley wasn't a real dancer but just had restless leg syndrome 😅
