Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to RUclips videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. 24:45 the dead silence after "bet you're glad you answered the phone today" gets me every time
Lmfao!! Throughout the life of the show there's a few of those dead silences after Karl tries to be funny, and it's just brilliant. It makes me so happy! Gives me the warm and fuzzies ❤.
All I do is listen to these endlessly. Thanks for putting these together.

There's so many. It's hard to narrow it down to just one single best one.
I love how Karl agrees with arranged marriages because it makes you focus on personality rather than looks, but then says "I mean if they're really ugly, then don't go along with it"
Also, he boasts that he did boxing and dancing when he was younger every other show, and he spent about a combined 90 minutes on them.
Ahoooooo, that's a wonderful clip, and a great record that preceded or followed it, I'm not sure.

Similar to everyone in comments. Must have done the full XFM and Gervais show 5+ times. It's at a point where the opening song then the way Ricky's opening sentence to the show, I instantly know which show it is and what they're gonna talk about. I'm the word out king Karl - Good innit

Besides do we really think a tinpot radio show would have access to voice modulation technology? Their popshields didn't even stay on.
@@LifeOfRy but, what are the chances of him phoning someone at random, and he happens to speak to someone with the exact same speech patterns as Ricky? It’s too much of a coincidence.

I don't understand all this stuff about Ricky faking Do we need 'em. It sounds nothing like him, especially on words like 'exist', 'crazy' and 'turtles'.
I'm wondering how many of them are American and just think all people from a place in England sound exactly the same :P
I've never understood it either. I don't hear any similarity at all. Plus it would be very weird for Ricky to come up with someone who works in an aquarium to talk about snails.
I'm Canadian and I have no problem understanding different British accents, but I think a lot of people here do, especially northern accents like karls haha. And Ricky is not nearly a good enough actor to fake those accents over the phone, closest he gets to a northern accent is karls dad which always cracks me up lol

it's american people because american radio and tv shows are never natural or casually produced like british shows.
LyingSecret Im british, and i can DEFINITELY hear ricky's voice, but only in the snails one. Assuming he was faking it, it would make sense that he changes his accent slightly. I guess we will never know for certain.

Ricky with some kind of voice changer I think. Makes me really doubt a lot of the validity of the whole show, sadly.

That's such a coincidence! I know, it seems like there is just enough of them to forget series one and be able to go back to it by the time you reach the end of four.

Quite random lol. I actually go from series 2-4 mostly as 1 has a lot of bad quality in my versions. Will check yours out when i get the chance and see if theyre any better.
By any chance do you know which episode Ricky gets an email from someone saying Karl is an actor called Graham? and karl says 'so what does he think i make my head round for 2 hours on a saturday' or something like that? ive got a feeling its somewhere in series 4 as well but havent noticed it yet.

Ricky is NOT the snail expert. Similar accents, different voices.
It’s not necessarily the accent that’s the same, it’s the patterns of speech, the jokes, the little bits of knowledge and trivia, the way of talking to Karl.
@@andrewmay1299 hm, they’re mildly similar but it’s clearly not Ricky. Some of these theories are just a bit too tinfoil hat for me.
The story of the woman on her bike going passed her younger self. Karl repeats this story years later but by then it’s a man and the kid is the one on the bike.

That happens quite a lot the story changes between the XFM shows and the podcasts.
The story about accidentally saying hello Ken to a fella who looked similar to Ken Dodd for example in one version of the story it's Karl who says hello Ken and in another version it's Karl's dad who says it.
