Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to RUclips videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. Lots of love, Man Moth.
Seriously, what is it about this show that makes so great for multiple viewings? Honestly, whether they knew it or not, they were one of the best comedy trios of ALL time!
I agree Brian. I only just discovered it post “After Life” on Netflix. I wanted to do a deep dive into Ricky’s background & started with Season 1. Karls’ evolution from silence to reluctant participant. All three make it what it is. I’ve spit up on myself twice while laughing uncontrollably. Grateful it was just water.
I've only just noticed that one of the Songs of Phrase prizes is the Fight Club VHS Karl bought a few weeks earlier to use for his film thing, but never used.
I know this has been said in the comments before on another video (possibly every one), but I really do love how so many of Karl's stories start with "everything's normal" XD It cracks me up. 49:13
After listening to all of these numerous times & loving them even more. What would be amazing would be the 'in between' record chats they have off air.......gold dust!!! 💪💪💪
"Now that's what I call bollocks" "All right, calm down, that's just cheapened it! Oh no, once again.." "Sorry play a record -" "Awh tits." Another brilliant Steve moment.

Daniel Encomienda it was brilliant. I workd in a card & gift shop when I stumbled upon xfm by accident. It's an oldskool webcam which means it's an image that updates every 10 seconds or summut, there's a few screenshots of it you can find.. but it's not full motion videos of the shows we're missing out on.. sadly
The difference in tone between the previous episode and this one is crazy, would love to know more about the Ricky/Karl intervention that happened between these two episodes!
@@georgelloyd5551 just the vibe between them in this episode compared to episode 33 (and few before that too), much more relaxed and way less tension between Karl and Ricky. @@a_b897 Yes I would love to be able to see that too, Karl is in a good mood and even making lots of jokes this week! Just to be a fly on the wall for any of their non air conversations would be incredible.
+Alfie Godfrey it's weird, isn't it? I can fall asleep just fine although Ricky keeps laughing like a hyena every 10 seconds.... Glad I'm not the only one ^^
All of Karl's stories relate to his primary school experiences. It's like nothing happened to him in life between primary school and meeting Ricky and Steve - well, except the paper round and meeting Susanne.
***** they were still doing this long after the success of the office, you hear them mocking the fact that they do it for the money in one of the later seasons. you also hear them constantly saying how that xfm is a "tinpot radio station" and how they get paid poorly. I've heard ricky say to steve how they do need to do this in the later seasons, but they continue just so that they can pick karl's brain. ricky also says how karl is "his gift to the world".thats ricky's reason anyway. the office is what made ricky and steve, an idiot abroad is what 'made' karl. it wasn't xfm lol
Imagine if you didn’t listen to these in order. Imagine if you’re new to the show and you happened to put this episode on. It would be incomprehensible!

Stephen, to Ricky: “At the best of times you sound like you’re selling the Evening Standard.” I’m not British and have no reference for this but it’s still funny.
“Have they done yours in small print because you’ve got special eyes?” wins for me in this episode, it’s so poorly thrown together but and Steve’s response just always gets me

Part of it is that it's unscripted, it's the best example of completely organic comedy I know
