Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to RUclips videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. Lots of love, Man Moth.
The lord's work
Thank you 💪🙏🔥
I love the way that Karl says "You are disqualified... from the comp."
+Deja Q Me too x'D Couldn't stop laughing xD
its the funniest delivery, so Brent-ish
Jesse Miles He's been hanging around with Ricky too long XD
after all this time it might be my favourite Karl line
"...from the comp"
priceless
good quality cookies takes some beating as well i think
I'm pretty sure if the world was about to end, Steve would want to play a record first and come back to it.
The apocalypse? Man alive, that's arbitrary!
Man alive, this apocalypse tripe is interminable!
I think it was a little kick for him tbh to be in control of an aspect of the show.he is the glue that makes it all work though.
Arbitrary apocalypse
@@MIKE-TYTHON Tbf, it does need to happen. Karl does it as well, but maybe mote subtley. But if Karl's telling a story, Rick's definitely not going to be thinking about anything other than having a laugh, so it's kinda gotta be Steve really.
'Did that just go out?'
'What?'
'All that..."
*sadistic laugh*
what was he talking about?
Insane "would you rather..?" questions! XD
gôogfrxmf@@HopeVJustice
One of my favourite moments. This episode had a special shoddiness to it 😂
Listening to this on public transport makes me look mad. I just burst out laughing every 5 mins 😂
Ha love it!
GrumpyPear same here mate haha!
Me too
On the bus right now
Ah same. I was listening to the condom present bit on a busy bus and I just had to turn it off I was laughing so much. 😆
Big time!
I just love how casual they are in this episode like they generally aren't bothered they are live to the point they are eatting and no one is talking while live it's brilliant xD
@Derek Knight Like they ever cared.
This is possibly the best show they’ve ever done. A few highlights:
- Drunk Ricky at the start
- The best prize in XFM history, Children Of The Corn
- What’s Tomato With You?
- When a listener sends in a Rockbusters clue so Karl takes it and immediately disqualifies the listener
- Frog Boy, saddo or amploid
- Karl has to decide which animal he would be to avoid the government and get his brain back
- Cutting a worm in half
- Karl’s dad putting the kid in the wheelie bin
- Karl’s leech facts
- The shadow that pushed people off their bikes
Just amazing.
@Jacob Jaywant How would being drunk look cool lol?
@Jacob Jaywant I think the point is they really don't care, they didn't get paid for these shows and most of time rely on Karl to maintain some semblance of order, whether he was or wasn't it's pretty funny
@j mula I have always thought that. Seems like an act
Who cares if he's pretending to be drunk? Either way he's hilarious.
Peter May is
Karl being so desperate not to tell the wheelie bin story then telling it anyway is just perfect
He got out of 'and
@@laurenw4818 'e pulled over and put 'im in a wheelie bin
Plus he wasn't a normal kid
It’s not the thing to do
Just like when Steve goaded him into telling the Auntie Nora split tennis ball story again when he didn’t want to talk about it either 😂😂 sorry, Auntie X
23:05 - "So er...Did that just go out?" I love how Karl actually can't believe he just answered a question about Frogboy on live radio. xD
Lol frogboy
"It's dead small...the flee"
+JockeK "Thanks for clearing that up." XD
"the government can't see it."
Love this little internet community
Joe La amen brother
Proud group of mentalists, we are.
I’m going through a breakup. It helps to just have these on all day, you kind of forget.
Yea it's alright n that
Saved my life more than once
I loose myself in these xfm shows, its like a form of escapeism, i am at ease and chilled out and can listen for hours!! Cheers man moth !!!!
*lose *escapism
Took 5 years for someone sad enough to pick that up, enjoy
@@adamjordinson1135 The age of the comment is irrelevant.
Correcting spelling and grammar isn't sad. People's absolute wilful ignorance to spelling and grammar is disgusting.
@@Ranger1812 injoy da vidio bruvaaaaaa
@@Ranger1812 Imagine if you had dyslexic children lol, RIP to them
Ricky making that “bleghp” noise is one of the funniest soundbites of this show
"Did that just go out?"
"What?"
"All that?!"
The way Ricky says "a piece of carpeeeettt" gets me every time
44:20 "A long time ago in the land of Glunk, where the ninnies did slib..."
I love that, I'd love to hear the rest of that book.
Dickydockydoo read flanimals init
LOVE the way Karl at 33:32 says:
"cos you're disqualified...
...from the comP."
karl's strength/lack of ego is so refreshing. such relentless mocking and he just doesn't seem to care. he's an inspiration
Cherish that while it lasts
I love how excited Karl sounds when he sees how many emails are coming in for Rockbusters. Sounds so chuffed with himself
This changes very quickly 😂
I love the end of this one "alright, see ya then"
Sorryyy sooooryyy, I thought it was shite!
hahaha
I swear this is the funniest episode of XFM I've ever heard. Ricky half drunk, Steve trying to keep it together, Karl in the driving seat and doing his competitions xD!! So hilarious!
"You're disqualified... from the comp..."
"A'ight? ... that's one of mine.." x'D!!
Daisy Chambers definitely! There's the early one that got a complaint about cocks that really makes me laugh and there's an episode basically taking advantage of the fact you can't libel the dead for most of its content that really makes me howl too
Daisy Chambers Daisy chambers...you could be a rockbuster clue, there's some confused flowers in thaat kings bedroom an' that.
'' karl, do what you've wha........... uuh ?
It might be my favourite XFM episode. It’s one of the most shambolic shows and therefore one of the funniest! Ricky still slightly pissed from the night before, Steve not wanting to be there and Karl talking even more arse than usual makes for a classic.
I think he was. If you listen to all the XFM episodes, he’s not as slurry.
Great hidden Karl quote there when they're talking about going "back to the old skool"
Karl - "I never went"
Or the one where they're talking about babboons serving in restaurants and Steve says "I've never seen babboons serving" and Karl says "I've dealt with a few"
As long as it's vinyl shit
But the stuff Ricky has done recently has been more worthwhile than the shite like Afterlife
19:55 "This flea...it's got my brain. It's dead small; the flea".
@@ilikerice5208 god i feel like the only person who hates Afterlife
"Some staples and peeeenciiiiiils! A piece of carpet!"
Karl is so right about dragging out Educating Ricky. I have really, really important things I need to be doing right now, but I started listening, and I can't turn this off until I hear What's Tomato With You. So much work not getting done.
Justin Kline I swear I saw one of your comments on a different video about 4 yrs ago
You have to be the coolest RUclipsr out there Man Moth, I listen to these shows every. single. day. Thanx for putting em up
I hope you're in a better place now
Are you allowed to wear socks now?
Oh no I'm back here 2 years later to eat my own words...
The wheelie bin anecdote is a top 5 moment on the show for me. The way it’s told is so good. Amazing.
i actually think I'm addicted to these- it's been years abd I still can't spend a day without listening to Cheeky lil Devil Gervais, Lanky Co-Writer Metchant and Karly Pilkboys
Mechant, who are you called sad
K-man Pilkoids, little baldy manc twattle, spouting sh*t, on the internet
I thought it was Steve Mitchell
"look at that, LOOK AT THAT" I love Karl
Legend isn't he😂
16:20 "If you get other animals at an early age, you can train them to like you.
A wasp.... never."
No chance
He is right wasps are cunts
"Linda Hamilton, she plays a piece of corn..."
49:34 "What's your favorite year in the future?" lmao Ricky's hungover questions are the best
The debut of Steve's obsession with the word "arbitrary."
I noticed that Ricky says it once, then Steve uses it several times a show for the rest of eternity.
@@Christophee1987 that's one of the few times Steve's done that to be fair. He's pretty original and spontaneous. And sharper than Gervais. Some of his one-liners..
@@Christoff070 Yeah, but Stephen actively _tries_ to be witty and sharp. Ricky is just naturally that way. Doesn't matter where he is or what he's doing.
Man alive

Willy Nillily
That's easy for you to say
It's near on impossible to find a volume where you can hear it but fall asleep because rickys laugh is sooooo loud
I wear earplugs and then put it a bit louder
You get used to it
@@bobobsen after about 10 years listening I still find myself being woken by Ricky’s laugh 😂
Wet Knee Houston does videos that have level audio to keep Ricky's laugh down. But they are mixed, with no chronological order, containing both XFM shows and the Podcasts.
Thank fuck for podcasts/recordings. I have never heard this show until a couple of weeks ago. It's a thousand times better than HBO's the Ricky Gervais show (which is still good)👌
You are so lucky. I wish I was just finding these again! Enjoy mate
Congrats on your discovery. See you back here in 20 years' time after around 50 repeated listens...(I'll be on 100) :D
This is my favourite XFM show. Ricky being hungover just pushes it over the top.
Thank you Man Moth! This is one of my favourite episodes...some classic Rockbusters ('KitcheN-Sync!), Karl in teacher mode, lad in a wheelie bin, hungover Ricky, Missis Zippy, cracking Educating Ricky clues, dead silence...and finally "how big are the wheels" !
“Next week some staples and pencils! A piece of carpet!” Makes me laugh every time.
Man Moth, you are truly one of my heroes.
The Shadow story is one of my favourite bits from any of these shows
I try to get friends to get turned on to these guys and that is the one clip that gets everyone laughing. Other than that, and you guys, I can’t find anyone who has the capacity to appreciate the comedic brilliance of this show from ’02 from a “tin pot London radio station”.
27:15
Gotta hand it to him, Ricky can deploy dead air to devastating hilarity. As much as I hate the ruthless treatment Karl endures at times, when his absurd statements are met with a few seconds of silence and a deadpan response I crack up.
1:36 "No da la eight. Karl? Do wha you've... wha you? Ugh?" Classic Ricky.
Rumbleshakeskin Entertainment setting the evening standard as usual
The most valuable set of playlists on RUclips ... Must be on my tenth listen of them all by now - Much love mammoth ... Ma...Man Moth?...A Man Moth
I just love this episode. The utter self indulgence and chaos is just beautiful.
the dead silence after the worm story... oh my god, i'm in fucking tears
"errr, 'ow big are the wheels?"
Steve: Arbitrarily
Karl: Willy-nillily
Karl: Ages ago, so-and-so was knocking about
Ricky: *D U H*
The tomato story is actually true. Wealthy Europeans in the 1700s often served tomatoes on lead plates and well, the rest you've heard Karl say. I just love how Karl is right more times than Ricky and Steven give him credit for.
Ah what's tomato with you, man?! x
He wasn't right, he said it was in England and/ or Britain - with no dates - means he was wrong. He had the tomato bit right, but as he said it was in Britain, the other 2 would obviously have heard about it if it'd happened in Britain, which is why they ridiculed it. I love Karl, but he didn't get it right.
Ady Nails Britain's in Europe
I could have been eating tomatoes all this time...
I love your user name "Man Moth" its pretty epic ! ... for some reason it made me laugh so much when Pilko originally said it in response to Steve's Mammoths.... I've listened to these pod-casts for a fair few years now to get me through High school, College and now University work so thank you for sharing these pod-casts and keeping me entertained in dull late nights haha its much appreciated :) also you earned yourself a new subscriber :P
Thanks a lot SuperDomsta, I really appreciate you saying! Regarding Karl's Man Moth, I think David Lynch should make a film about it :-)
Ive also listened to these for years now and still do. It's really cool to hear other people are the same. Thanks for subscribing too!
Man Moth I would love to send Karl information about the Mothman in West Virginia. There's even a statue!
greengeekgirl Haha, yeah! I just Googled it, it looks the business.

53:11 ''And it'd eat.. Five times the amount of blood to make it five times bigger than the size of itself.''
''Aahhhhww, you're a scientist.''
This is the best episode of the whole show as far as I'm concerned.
29:55 love this moment when they’re all excited about Rockbusters, and the music playing fits the mood so well!
Listen to all these and this is defiantly my favorite episode, I never get bored of listening to it!!
The shadow story is one of my favorites, its so bizarre and so unexpected x)
There's a shadow somewhere..
17th century?
With the sparrows!
sparrows *SOMEWHERE!!?!*
there should be a team called the Boston Shadows
Its already good
Craig McMillan 100% agree dude
55:51 - one of Ricky's best XFM laughs (my winner is still "that should be interesting for meat balls"
I love it "this flea its got my brain, its small. The flea" ahah he's quick when he wants to be
Still listening in 2021. Just the best. There will never be radio like this again
Mrs Zippy always gets me 😂😂😂
George must have been proper jealous
54:14 Karl’s story about the shadow that was “pushing people off their bikes”
Is there any lemonade?
This is one of my favorite shows. Gervais still drunk from the previous night is just gold.
"Is your dad in prison? I think he should be" haha... I love how they slowly try and get that story out of Karl and he evades it by playing a record because he knows. It's actually a mental story haha.
I forgot how much I loved these. This shit still cracks me up. Hope they all work together again soon.

man series 2 has some banger shows
05:35 Oh hurry up I'm...
Love Ricky here 😂
11:40 Steve talking about Uber in 2002. What a visionary.
I'm sorry, Karls "I don't want my name to this! This is the Ricky Gervais show! Yeah!" is really funny under-rated gold...god help us if he ever got his own show and free reign...
Absolutely!
''It's dead small- the flea!''
Good save Karl hahaha
Peter Horton's in it!!
Not Horty?! x
Ricky: "A long time ago in the land of Glunk, right, where the Ninnies did slib." Hahaha
different stories...for different........things
I'm now going through every consecutive episode 1 by 1 for about the 8th time. Never close this channel Manmoth!!!
"He put a kid in a bin...and that's not the thing to do."
November 2019 oooh love these
38:30 "The lad is livin' in Missizippy."
This and the previous episode really are gold
"Look forward to that...the second half to Stevie Wonders, living for the city...a week later"
Glad to hear The Coral getting some play. They really fit October 2002 quite perfectly.
Listening to these videos has allowed me to get some sleep in the toughest of times, resorted back here for comfort again
The only downside to listening to these is I get a headache from laughing so hard. It's worth it though
thank you for the track listing x
Who would dislike this? Actually I know...Dickie Anderson, little Chinese fellas, little gay fellas, Forest Gump types, Auntie Nora, Karl's Dad, little Welsh fellas and all the cheeky freaks of the weeks.
That would be one hell of a guest list for a party
wendy, "lets watch wendy's little show then! sick of her...."
The episode in which Karl is confirmed ✅, owns Blockbusters. His Flea story is hilarious. You can genuinely hear Ricky and Steve impressed after he reads out his Cryptic Clues.
The best thing about these shows were that it was just 3 lads sitting around talking shit. Authentic, hilarious and simply brilliant
Have been through them about 4-5 times now in the last 5 years. Been a couple of years since I did em last. It’s as funny as the first time i heard it
When you have such a fucking day you think, "I need to just put xfm on and stop thinking"
Ricky on a heavy Red Wine hangover = Vesuvius Laughter!
K- "Willinillily"
R- "That's easy for you to say!!!"
Man alive I've had that response stuck in my head for 18 years fkin years now. Golden
this was the show at it's best!!! miss this so much, i wish they'd do a reunion season. can't wait for karls new show though.
"we had a curry, we were walkin back, and er... this funny little homeless fella didn't he?"

"Mrs. Zippy? Is that, is that someone off Rainbow’s Mum?"
Lol.
Brah it comes with subtitles now?!
HELL YEAH. Replay #50,315, here we go.
Such a strong episode, this one.
Another time rounds. 3 months for a full circuit. Been doing so for the past 8 years.
You must be due back any day now!

that is something though, leaving that kid there for hours..
Although Karl might've been wrong (he's never been before, so why would he be here?)
