One good thing not mentioned in this video is when you want to break your opponent's posture in your closed guard, also pull with your legs up towards your face. Like a situp crunch. This is very effective. Just reaching for the head or grabbing arms wont really work that easily and if you dont break the posture of your opponent you wont be able to do anything and he can work on escaping your guard

Shayne, what you guys do is great. I had a friend who liked to "Play fight" around the time of UFC 2. Unfortunately while playing with another friend, something went wrong and he died pretty quickly. His best friend must've felt so guilty. Back then not many people knew anything about chokes and submissions. I like learning from your videos.👍

watching these videos help me alot, especially with being a bully victim and getting pushed around alot. And yes i know i should be telling others and i also know i shouldnt expect to easily get someone in any of these submissions. I also watch stand up fighting techniques and such. Im also gonna be getting into kick boxing and jui jitsu. And my brothers also helped me with ground control Because he was in jui jitsu.

      They make great videos!
But you need to practice a lot.
Its like you may know how to armbar, but really, you just know how to armbar level 1
There are like 50 levels of each position, submission, sweep ect.
So many details, so many concepts, counters timing ect.
E.g. the tip on how to finish the RNC with pushing your hand down on the neck is just 1 detail of like 10. You need to crunch not pull, squeeze, close your elbows tighter, close your shoulders, take a deep breath to expand your chest to put more pressure, hid the hand behind the head with your own head ect.
      Keep on training!

Really good video. I started BJJ a month ago and this has helped me. Only thing I could add is please go through the moved 3 or 4 times before moving on from different angles.
    Apart from that very helpful

I'm starting to practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu in about two weeks, I'm going to practice this with my friend so I can progress faster during the classes and avoid getting stucked in the beginner level for too long
