Dhosa batter is pretty much the same as idli batter. There can be variants, but 3x short grain rice and 1x split and skinless urid dhal are soaked separately (sometimes the rice is then half boiled) before being preferably wet ground (more often power blended) then as a thick cream, spontaneously fermented for at least 8 hours, but usually longer. Variations involve a gram mix, or some spicing of the batter. Some hiss’s are soft like yours, and others crispy and made into a large funnel

your really need to try malay foods, and other fusion food here in malaysia. here some recommendation: Nasi Lemak (official national dish) at Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kampung Baru KL, Nasi Kandar, Nasi Ganja Ipoh (Perak state), Nasi Ambeng, Nasi Kerabu (Kelantan), Ayam Percik, Mee Goreng Mamak, Rendang, Asam Laksa (Penang state), Laksa Johor (Johor state), Laksa Sarawak (Sarawak state), durian, some street food like Ramly Burger or Roti John, and so on... In some cases, street stalls serve much tastier, authentic and more satisfying food than five star hotels food. Malaysia also famous for fusion food, combination of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Western, and so on. my personal fav restaurant is Mamak Restaurant (Indian Muslim), or any malay restaurant/ stall...

the Indian food in Malaysia are mostly south Indian as we have a huge number of Tamil population. I've been to India and to be honest, there's not much different. I thought the Indian food I had in central India tasted the same as we have back home. Probably Indian vendors in Malaysia got the same spices from India.
Hello hello good morning :-) it’s funny that so many people have commented on this exact same thing, I appreciate you teaching me both names for these fish, I asked the owner and so I just put what he told me :-)
Mr Joel,,,, I find people in Thailand likes to eat roti canai/pratha with sweet things,,,like chocolate sauce, Nutella, sweet condensed milk, butter with sugar,,, For my Malaysian taste it's a no no ,,,, better with curry base sauce,, Stay safe and stay happy 🇲🇾😁

Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity and to plunder and to open shame, as it is this day. Ezra 9:6-7 To open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me. Acts 26:18 You have put me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the depths. Your wrath has rested upon me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Hey hey HEY!! A big hello to all :-) thanks as always you guys, making my day… Making my morning right now! Doing morning devotions and maintaining a hugely grateful attitude today. Thank you for all of you doing your part for our team
your really need to try malay foods, and other fusion food here in malaysia. here some recommendation: Nasi Lemak (official national dish) at Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kampung Baru KL, Nasi Kandar, Nasi Ganja Ipoh (Perak state), Nasi Ambeng, Nasi Kerabu (Kelantan), Ayam Percik, Mee Goreng Mamak, Rendang, Asam Laksa (Penang state), Laksa Johor (Johor state), Laksa Sarawak (Sarawak state), durian, some street food like Ramly Burger or Roti John, and so on...
Wow, your first comment was awesome enough. This one is so much that I think it would be dangerous to read on an empty stomach… You are wonderful, thank you for the superb support and for the great comments. I think I have an entire week worth of work to track down all these gorgeous sounding dishes and recipes you have left for me here. This is basically a full tour of Malaysia right here in one comment!!!!!! ✌🏽🤌🏽👌🏽🤘🏽👍🏽✊🏽💪🏽

Kenny!! Thank you so much man, great to learn, great to appreciate a building that I already enjoy so much
So how different is the Indian food there and in India??? But eating with hands sure is fun. DOSAI looks yummy
Hello and have a wonderful weekend
the Indian food in Malaysia are mostly south Indian as we have a huge number of Tamil population. I've been to India and to be honest, there's not much different. I thought the Indian food I had in central India tasted the same as we have back home. Probably Indian vendors in Malaysia got the same spices from India.
When u use hand to eat ,its good for ur digestion..
Really? 🌟
I don't think that's Ikan Bawal (pomfret) though. Looks more like an ikan tenggiri (a type of mackerel) that's usually prepared in that style
Hello hello good morning :-) it’s funny that so many people have commented on this exact same thing, I appreciate you teaching me both names for these fish, I asked the owner and so I just put what he told me :-)
Amazing food
Blessings
the fish looks like king mackerel or 'tenggiri' in malay language..
Hey Najmi, thank you very much!
Hey Joel, nice to see you at NU Sentral.. do let me know when we can meet? I am also at LITTLE INDIA.
Hey man 😎 wow, that is super cool thank you for the invitation, but we are already on to the next destination in Pahang! ✌🏽🤘🏽👍🏽
Mr Joel,,,, I find people in Thailand likes to eat roti canai/pratha with sweet things,,,like chocolate sauce, Nutella, sweet condensed milk, butter with sugar,,,
For my Malaysian taste it's a no no ,,,, better with curry base sauce,,
Stay safe and stay happy 🇲🇾😁
Blessings
masa kecik saya makan roti canai dengan susu sejat. sedap je hahaha. sekarang pun kadang2 teringin. and roti pisang pun sedap, cicah kari or not.

And I said, "O my God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift up my face to You, my God, for our iniquities have risen above our heads and our guilt has grown even to the heavens. Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity and to plunder and to open shame, as it is this day.
Ezra 9:6-7
To open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.
Acts 26:18
You have put me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the depths. Your wrath has rested upon me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an object of loathing to them; I am shut up and cannot go out. My eye has wasted away because of affliction; I have called upon You every day, O Lord; I have spread out my hands to You. Will You perform wonders for the dead? Will the departed spirits rise and praise You?
Psalm 88:6-10
Continue to stay faithful in spreading the word of God. The people who fight you are none of his. Best to call on the name of Jesus and annoy people than to be silent as a believer.
@@maxf3253 Amen, very true, I don't fear their judgment but I do fear God's judgment if I don't share His truth. Blessings light and love to you and yours Max.

Thank you for sharing your experience in Kuala Lumpur Joel. Love watching you eating with your hands. I’m a malaysian living in Sarawak which is East of Malaysia. I hope you visit Sarawak one day and try out Sarawakian foods. Do check out my channel though, i’ve covered some Sarawakian food as well. I’m still new in food review
With all due respect to Joel, l rather wash my hands with tap water than with ethanol/alcohol base sanitiser. Its not good for our skin, with prolong use that chemical sanitiser. 🙏
