I set up mine on my 2021 Supra, OEM battery on AGM. What would be the difference from normal? The booklet says normal only covers some AGM batteries. Another curiosity is that my CTek lights are all orange instead of green like yours.
Hi, all Supra batteries have to be AGM right? Because mine was changed to a Varta G14 silver dynamic but it doesn’t say AGM. It has to be a AGM right? When charging to didn’t show the AGM light so I pressed MODE and changed it to AGM just like yours show.

I never tried but I'm wondering, if the hood is open will the car let you lock it? - When I lock unlock I can hear noises from engine bay like maybe a fuel pump doing something, will this be a problem if the treacle charger is attached while the car is using energy? - What happens if you turn the car on by accident and forget to unplug? - When putting and removing do you need to follow a specific order i.e. positive first then negative, and in reverse when removing? - Finally, should I set it all up with the CTEK OFF and then power it on? Or should I be adding the clips on the terminals with the CTEK on already? Thanks, sorry for all the questions I am scared of electrical stuff and don't wanna damage my new baby.
Thanks for checking out the video 🙌. The car doesn't need to be locked and the hood can be cracked open to let the charge wire out. The car can be locked with the hood unlatched. The initializing sounds you hear, fuel pump, etc., stop after a couple minutes and don't continue using power. The car can be started with the tender still attached and charging without issue. Attach positive first then negative. The tender can be plugged into power when attaching the leads. Once positive and negative are connected, mine automatically recognized the connection and started charging. It also automatically recognized it as an AGM battery without having to change modes on the Ctek. Hope that helps! Enjoy your baby! Too bad it's now winter time. how long do i need to put a battery tender on my car when not driving like 24/7 hr is that safe tender be on supra for 1 week or 1 month straight if i dont plan on driving it for that long or that will over charger the battery even if its float charge?
The CTEK battery tender is computer controlled and will charge until full, detect the level, and then trickle charge. I had it on mine for 5 months straight in the winter without issue.
@@evlx14 my battery is dead and i want to recharge it but not sure how to turn off the alarm on the supra 2020 with a dead battery with out touching the battery it self is there a way to turn off the alarm when i open door to lift the hood so i can hook up tender cause i dont want to jump start the car since that is bad for the Battery longevity

@kent4786 It's computer controlled to trickle charge the correct amount when near full. I left it on for 5 months, no issues.
