    Ive been using Ctek Mxs5.0 for years and they have been great, but 3 years ago my first Ctek just stopped working. I went to Halfords store and i purchased new one. It only lasted 2 years. Again i bough another new one same model Mxs 5.0 and it stopped working yesterday after two and half years of use. This particullar model has 5 years warranty. I went to Halfords shop to ask if they could repair it or replace for new one but been told i needed to contact Ctek directlly. I have sent already two emails but no reply. I now have two non working Ctek chargers that are around 3 years old, still in warranty period obody seems to care to help me.

I am looking for a new battery charger and am still seeing the MULTI US 7002 chargers being sold and researching I see reviews for the US 7002 as old as 10 years ago. Hi, i'm looking to get the MXS 5.0 for a 2019 VW Tiguan that as the stop / start feature. Car is only 5 years old and this is the 2nd battery.......and already seemingly in "poor" condition according to a service done yesterday. Can I ask - IF I buy the cable that permits charging via the cigarette lighter point inside the car - does that still allow ALL of the features on the charger to be utilised and not just the charging aspect. Thankyou

      Hi! Most of the chargers in this video will work for you (check the Ah range), but they differ in terms of power and features. For the ultimate upgrade we'd recommend the CS ONE (available in Europe) with APTO technology and polarity free clamps. Otherwise you could also go for the CT5 TIME TO GO or the MXS 10. If you want to have both a battery charger and an adaptive booster in the same unit you could also go for the CS FREE :)

    • @CTEKBatteryChargers
      @CTEKBatteryChargers  Месяц назад

      Hi! The CT5 POWERSPORT is recommended for batteries between 5-25Ah in size. If your car batteries are slightly bigger than that, it would still work, even though the charging would be slow. If you have larger batteries we would recommend a different model. If both your motorcycle and car batteries are of some lead-acid type, you could go for the MXS 3.8 or MXS 5.0 which feature both motorcycle and car modes, or the CS ONE which will adapt its charging algorithm based on the battery.

      Thank you very much for the response.
      I have read many times that it is Ideally 100AMP @14.4v, flat. One of the reasons why I thought PRO120 might ideal for such a task. Would I be right?
      Coding usually needs less power usage, it just have to be consistent and steady, BimmerCode recommends nothing less than 30A @ 13.6V but programming is the main power gulping of the two actions.

    "We also don't offer local support in the UK, it's based in Sweden. And we only do support on chargers 10A or above due to the cost of repair more often than not exceeding the cost of a similar modern charger." Recognize that statement? You should, you sent it to me 2 days ago. Buyers beware: There are numerous teardown videos on RUclips, appearing to show very low end and poorly fitted components, concealed inside a shiny, sealed enclosure, with the words “designed & developed in Sweden” proudly printed on the side, but omitting the wording of WHERE it is actually manufactured obviously absent. My charger/conditioner was only used a handful of times, but failed at 2 years old, only giving out 0.2A. CTEK refuse to have anything to do with it, because it is a "vehicle manufacturer" branded charger. Irrespective of this, it is still a CTEK unit.

    CS ONE doesnt work with android !! THere is no fix date planned as confirmed with CTEK Support

      Within the Android 13 update, changes have been made to the new BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) stack vs the previous versions for manufacturers like Samsung, One Plus, etc who now must implement the new stack in their phones. This has caused several problems for companies like us with Bluetooth dependency.
      Additionally, NRF and other 3rd party Bluetooth apps are experiencing the same/similar issues connecting on Android 13. Unfortunately, reproducibility of the issue is sporadic, with far too many permutations of phones and manufacturers.
      Google have released updates, however there is no market indication that this has resolved the issues, for which the onus still lays with the individual manufacturers. It is also noted that Google’s Operating System update has been released as a patch that remedies for some manufactures on some OS versions, and not for others.
      We want to assure you that our team, along with Android and Google are actively working on finding a solution, which we are hoping will include the patches to fix the issues in Android 14. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to stay tuned for future firmware and patch updates for your phone.
      Please however, contact us at support@ctek.com where we will help try to troubleshoot the issues you are experiencing.
