    Lovely video Kat. You are making great progress on all of your WIPS and I enjoyed seeing them although I think I miss the original format. I’m all in for a WIP parade. I love a good WIP parade. Congrats to your lucky giveaway winner.
    Happy stitching,

      Thank you, and especially for your thoughts on the format...there is something that is really nice but difficult to define about holding up the actual WIPs! I'm going to keep the new format for a couple more goes and then make a final decision. I think I'm going to go for the WIP parade - yay!!

    Thanks for the update - love your WIPS and your general approach. Personally I prefer to see the actual pieces of work - for me, the photographs make it a bit clinical and seeing the project in question is part of the joy. But it’s your channel - you do what works for you - thanks for sharing!

    • @catkinandlillie
      @catkinandlillie  20 дней назад

      Thank you for your thoughts...I am still very undecided on holding up vs. pics but that's a good way to put it, that the pics are more clinical. I feel the detail can be more easily appreciated but it does feel like maybe I'm also losing something. I'm doing a few more with pics then will go back to holding up to give each option a fair comparison! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos though 😄

    Good to catch up ☺ I love the new format although I wonder if we lose some of the magic of the fabric colour with the still but I love the size of the new images and your arrows. Whatever is better for you really, I will enjoy your content whichever way. ☺

      Thank you 😊 I had wondered the same thing about using photos instead of actual WIPs. I know I can get pretty good colour representation on the photos otherwise I definitely wouldn't do it, but it's still not quite the same. I'll do a few more with the new format and then decide. I'm glad you are still enjoying it anyway 😄

    • @catkinandlillie
      @catkinandlillie  Месяц назад

      Thanks Andrew 😊 Sorceress is progressing really well and I'm loving every stitch 😄 That was my worry with the new format that it would feel somehow less 'personal' and there's something more tangible about seeing the actual stitching, but I think I'll give it a go for at least 1 or 2 more episodes before I decide.

    Hey Kat. Absolutely two thumbs up for the new way of presenting the progress of your projects. 👍👍 It makes it very clear and easy to see (I like that you include arrows, too 😁). You put so much time and effort into your videos, so thank you.
    And only you would be so concerned about the welfare of your new stash, that one piece of fabric shouldn't travel alone! 🤣

      Thanks so much, it's great to have your feedback on the new format...maybe not quite as easy for me as I thought once I decided to faff about inserting arrows but I did feel they were worth it!
      I'm definitely building up a long list of fairly spurious 'reasons I just had to buy more new stash' 😂

    Hello Cat and stitchers. Good idea to use the photos. I got talked into doing "Stitch the Summer Olympics" so I dug out my old UFOs and figured out what do for each day's prompt. I've got little stuff that I've started alongside quilting - ornaments and such. And older bigger UFOs like Winter Queen...from 2002..... Yikes! I've done 2 rough FlossTube videos just so that everyone can see what I have already before I start talking about prompts and my viewers go "Wait, what?" Sorry your weekend away was soggy! I look forward to your next video.

      @catkinandlillie  Месяц назад +1

      Hello and welcome! So fab to have you here and that you are enjoying my projects 😄 I do seem to have quite a few larger projects right now...some smaller ones might be a good plan as that's a great motivator for finishes! I am not bothered by longer running projects as long as I have some smaller ones for that finish feeling along the way! I also really love the process of stitching as my chill out and de-stress time so I don't have to be quite so fanatical about finishing.

    Hi Cat, i want to ask what is your method to stitch full coverage? I want to start my first full coverage project, but i don't know with which method i should do this? Lovely greetings from Germany. Ute 😊

    • @catkinandlillie
      @catkinandlillie  Месяц назад

      Hi Ute! I am not sure my full coverage stitching follows any one particular method but I can say that I don't grid my fabric, and I don't ever really park any threads. I pick a corner to start in (top left or bottom right for me) then work outwards from that corner, aiming to stitch fairly continuously so I pick whatever colour is next to the bit I've just stitched. I prefer not to leave gaps but that isn't really possible for full coverage. I don't do cross country so I never take my thread all that far from where the main body of my stitching is. I certainly don't do colour completion! I hope to make a stitch with me video some time so I can show all this properly!
