I just wanted to say that I watched your floss tube today and it was a joy! I think I will be starting Rejoice Evermore. It is simply beautiful! I also love to crochet along with cross stitching. @@b.a.blessingstitcher Actually, I forgot to mention that The Stitchery Nook in Osage is my LNS! I don't get there as much as I would like, but it is only about 38 miles from me. I haven't been to a retreat/open stitch yet. Liz is wonderful! We live in NE Iowa, up by the Minnesota border. I've been watching Red Cross Stitcher, one of the Flosstubes you mentioned and have been enjoying her channel. So thankful for this community. I am amazed at how loving and friendly it is! 🙂❤

Just found you. Loved all your stitching. I'm from Missouri but I buy most of my stitchy things from The Shanty Stitchers. In fact Ginny is my cousin. My mom and dad were raised in Meckling SD. Looking forward to watching your future videos.

You are new to me….and I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet you at Midnight Garden finishing class at Beresford. You just popped up in my feed. I will have to go back to watch more of your videos. This was totally enjoyable and interesting. Never apologize for tears, they often go with emotions, and it shows you care about people and are empathetic.
I went to the finishing class not knowing anyone, but loved the experience. We were so busy, it was not easy to get to meet others, but it was lovely to completely finish a beautiful stitching project. Perhaps we will meet in person another time. I can’t wait to go back and view your other videos.
I’m interested to view the other videos you mentioned, I watch Nichol and Shari and it was fun to meet them in person. Chari is doing the Autumn Folk SAL. I am working on the Hygge Holiday and loving it, about 1/2 finished 😬.
I am a quilter and have many wips in that category also 😅. I am only recently returned to stitching after 40 years or so away from it. The designers, fabrics, flosses, and finishes have expanded so greatly, I. Keep falling done a rabbit hole 🕳️ looking at, favoriting, and purchasing way too much. But, I’m not drinking or gambling, so I think my money spent is in a much more productive and positive way 😊.

I learned so much from Cathy! I agree with your reasoning - I don’t drink, smoke, gamble, or really have any other vices either and actually feel that stitching is like therapy!! I’ve actually met Jackie on “Stitch Across the Pond”, she is way more knowledgeable than me and has an art background so I’m quite intimidated by her, haha. Diane…. I think I have that correct… I have a question…. What scroll frames do you use? I have a bigger piece waiting for me, but cannot figure out what scroll frame is best, and yet reasonably priced. And do you use a floor stand with it? Thanks. Peg 💛
I will not be going to Ginny’s retreat. I am unable to spend money on retreats. I’m a retired teacher, divorced, and living in an apartment; so generally retreats have become something I don’t do. The class was one day, and didn’t require overnight, and meals, etc. I also have reached an age where I really don’t travel much any more. I like being home and sleeping in my own bed, and tucked in before dark. 🤣 Maybe Ginny would allow me to drop I to the retreat to meet you.😊. Peg 💛
I’m sorry, this comment got lost for a couple of days. So I use the Arabeska frames from Amazon. They come in a small, and large and custom size. I think I’ve purchased 1 of each sets. I do use a floor stand, it’s called the Lowry and I bought the extender bar so I can sit in my recliner and still have my piece reach across the chair. Their is also and additional bracket that your magnifying light can attach so it’s all one piece. I really love it but I do have to put a weight on the base to keep it from tipping over once I’ve added my light. Do you do Instagram by any chance? I can’t remember if you said you do Facebook or not but I also have a group there, b.a.blessingstitcher, and you can send me a message on there as well. Diane, you said your go to fabric is 40 count. I've yet to try to do anything smaller than 18 ct. Could you tell me if you use a specific light/magnifier. Was happy to see you back on youtube this morning.
Yes, I’ve tried several different magnifying lamps. I will put a link to my favorite in the notes but it is not a floor lamp, just a tabletop but I use mine with my Lowry stand which turns it into a floor lamp. Hugs. 🩷

I lived in Michigan, Illinois, Connecticut and northern Ohio until I was 65. All of my craft supplies were given away back then when I moved. Hopeful for a nice ki to trtwtth
