Awesome 👌 I doubled the yeast made an herb garlic butter to use as the filling- used one large 9 x5 loaf pan otherwise you'll have 2 small loaves. Can't wait to try cinnamon sugar raisin filling next time. Its a light fluffy bread very good TY
You have let rise more. I make bread for 20 years. I let rise mire 2 h not 20 min this is big mistake Is way is so small yours. Let rise boll for h don’t worry they have come 3x puf. Same thing on pan let rise until come on top pan. If y let rise for h you have another result
Let your ingredients, milk, egg, yeast butter sit out at room temperature before adding the yeast then mix it all together. Leave to rise for a couple of hours in warm area then do all preparing and let sit for another hour covered up after that. It helps to activate the yeast when you do so which is quite necessary for a nice rise.
I love this bread!! It turned out so lovely. The egg wash is the perfect touch. I can't wait to serve it to my husband before he goes to work tomorrow!

Oh my God I made these loaves today and they turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Both in looks AND taste 😍😍👌🏾 I made one half plain and one with chocolate chips. The stage after the first 20-min prove where you have to add butter and then fold over a couple of times and knead - my dough went a bit wrong here and the butter was splitting the dough making the dough a bit wet and buttery. I fixed that by adding a bit of flour. Everything else went smoothly 😍 I did have to extend the final prove to 2 hours as they just weren't getting bigger - I resorted to putting them next to the windowsill (on a sunny day) and that did the trick. They honestly turned so, so beautiful - I will 100% be making this again!! And experimenting with different fillings 😍😍🤤

Agree with the comments about it being small. Will let it rise longer and maybe put a bit more yeast in as well. Tastes amazing, though! I did sprinkle a bit of salt over the second spread of butter and just a tiny bit on top before baking. Perfect flavor!
This is like chealsea buns where sugar and raisins are added, then the roll is sliced and the buns baked individually. This s a lovely ‘sharing’ bread version
So interesting - a puff pastry sort of with yeast. It was total magic to watch. I would love to try variations in the roll up part - cinnamon, jam, almond paste etc. Lovely!

the only thing is: when working on recipes (formulas) weights are by far better to work with for accuracy and repeatability. kitchen gram scales are easy to find and relatively inexpensive (got mine at walmart)
I tried it and althoughI messed up on the buttering it still worked and my family were so impressed. I didn’t like to tell them it was simple easy to follow instructions and the bread took care of itself. So pleased I found this recipe.❤
I made this bread with some milk and a little diluted heavy whipping cream and the bread came out fantastic, everyone loved it, especially me, btw I had some flours I didn’t label so I used one of the flours without knowing what kind of flour it was and it came out perfect. @@barbaramack2897 you can use any flour, I personally had placed my flours in containers and I didn’t label them, so I searched for a recipe, which any flour can be used, I used one of the flours I had not labeled, I don’t know which flour it was, I used this recipe and it came out so good, I will be making this bread again, everyone loved it. I guess I’ll make a batch with each flour to pin point which flour was the one I actually used 🤭

DELICIOUS! Second attempt & will definitely make this again! Soooo good, but small loaves. I could eat one by myself. And if you want them to be as tall as in the picture, use small pans. I made one with brown sugar, cinnamon & raisins. To die for!

From there she became the chief/head cook at our local bus station/cafe. It was sort of like a sonic because there were car shops also. She put her bread into muffin pans after chopping like you did. It also depends on the altitud where you live at. Altitude tend to make the bread take longer to rise and some foods to cook.

A good way to get dough to rise is put it in the hot water cylinder cupboard. Warmest place in the house all year round :)

Made this and put jujube paste in the layers. Turned out wonderful! You could also put lotus seed paste or red bean paste. Thank you for the recipe!

Grams are more precise, and you need that especially in baking.

DELICIOUS! Second attempt & will definitely make this again! Soooo good, but small loaves. I could eat one by myself. And if you want them to be as tall as in the picture, use small pans.

Awesome recipe! I ended up using all purpose flour, and only 2 tablespoons of sugar and it still came out great! I have never actually successfully cooked a bread LOL. I'm going to make this for every holiday dinner for now on

From there she became the chief/head cook at our local bus station/cafe. It was sort of like a sonic because there were car shops also. She put her bread into muffin pans after chopping like you did. Queria encontrar esse tipo de manteiga.Repare que é diferente.É mais creme de leite que manteiga.Penso que nossa manteiga sola ou fica engordurado igual massa folhada,só que sebento.
@@clairoliveira7769 pode ser sim, manteiga feita com leite menos gorduroso. Mas eu acho que pode ser feito com manteiga normal, só que em temperatura ambiente, ponto de pomada.
@@deisilea9822 Não é .Eu fui lendo lendo os comentários até alguém falar dessa manteiga.Ela deu a receita em ingles.São 6 colheres sopa de manteiga,uma caixa de açucar de confeiteiro,1/4 de suco de laranja e duas colheres de raspas de laranja.Bata na batedeira até ficar homogeneo.Agora estou esperando ela responder a medida dessa benfita caixa de açucar e qual tamanho da colher que mede as raspas de laranja🤣😂🤣Não é manteiga comum nem aqui nem na china.Se vc passar manteiga comum vai FRITAR a massa e não assar e ficar soltinha assim.Sou HIPER MEGA OBSERVADORA.🤣😂🤣😂
