Idea: They should use that abandoned Wonders of Life pavilion to display the retired animatronics, like a museum of sorts.
Lol the epcot commercial at the beginning is funny because my brother used to think that when we would go to epcot we would see mickey standing at the top of spaceship earth

The Stitch animatronic was always impressive to me.
That is less scary than Alien encounter. But the I did not like the spitting.
I think Aladar was more trashed than retired... Left to rot. Should of been a dragon lmao

No. We know Patrick aka Backdoor Disney stole stuff (including Buzzy's hands & clothes, a female ghost's Haunted Mansion Ballroom dancing dress & other merch) and he has been now likely banned for life for selling the filched goods on the black market.
@@Eduvint Making light of actual robbery is only slightly lower on the tasteless scale than trying to make black-and-blue dark comedy out of rape (or any sort of forcibly unwanted sex for that matter, including the unethical taboos of incest, pedophilia, necrophilia & bestiality), assault, abuse (domestic or otherwise) or heaven forbid, even suicide or murder/homicide . Only trolling assholes who have no conscience/moral compass/code of ethics find that kind of deplorable shit funny. Sadly, that sort of offensive humor has permeated much of entertainment to the point that people are so desensitized & cynically jaded that people don't seem to have any compassion for their fellow humans anymore.
I didn't know the Aladar animatronic was at the Tram Tour in DLP now! I'm going to look for it the next time I'm there. Fun to see a piece of history in my homepark!

I miss the Dreamfinder, as he and Figment are my favorite Disney characters.
EPCOT needs a renovation. One that brings backs the classic loved rides, keeps the new ones and moves all the IP attractions to the main park or at least Hollywood Studios.
Journey Into Imagination, Malestrom, Horizons who who knows what else needs to return.
Especally Journey Into Imagination, that ride is practically the crowned jewel of EPCOT.
Sadly, we will probably never get the entirety of the original Journey Into Imagination ever again for reasons involving OSHA and the original being apparently a mechanical nightmare to work with.

Replace the Aladar spot with the Ellen Degeneres animatronic and you a top 5 retired Epcot animatronics
Except if you watch the Ellen show then you know where it went! She bought it and I'm not sure what she's doing with it, now that's she shown the audience!
@@tripleg2513 It was confirmed to be a fake. The actual animatronic was probably scrapped for parts, sold, or is sitting in a warehouse somewhere. That was just a mannequin they dressed up to look like Ellen.
@@patientallison I looked it up, your half right! While who knows what happened to the animatronic, the skin and clothes were removed and that's what appeared on the Ellen show now explaining to me why it looks so distorted and weird on the show!

I know that the animatronics in the Mickey Mouse Revue aren't totally gone because they're in Tokyo but that was one of my very first childhood memories from the 70s
Track down where the turn around scare witch from snow white got off too. Although the dwarves are reused pretty sure she's a resculpt
Also anything actual from Mr Toads. Not hommages here and there.
The Mr. Toad Bust is in the Haunted Mansion graveyard as part of the WDW queue.

What about a video titled "animatronics nobody talks about". For example, the Roz animatronic from the end of the Monsters inc ride at DCA. Or the talking skull in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Theres a hatch at the top of Spaceship Earth
Whatever, It’s Kaleb in the top of spaceship earth( the planetarium scene) there is an elevator that lifts up to a secret hatch on the ceiling of spaceship earth.
When Mickey was supposed to appear at the base of the mountain in Fantasmic, he made an oopsey and got up there and when that helicopter flew over that morning they found Mickey waving desperately on top of Spaceship Ship. Boom!

The OG Journey Into Imagination seems so wholesome. I was only old enough to remember the newest incarnation and it's not something I would repeatedly ride. I feel like I would repeatedly ride the OG and never consider it a one and done.
Now that i think About Could Elsa be using The Trolls arm to push the boat back?

But just imagine how severely outdated it would be if they kept anything. Most of these educational rides weren't timeless classics that could stand in the park forever, they were recorded in the 90's and early 00's, and looked outdated rather quickly.

RIP Stitch animatronic; it never had the chance to be used for a better ride than the disastrous Stitch's Great Escape.
I am now sad since these animatronics never got used again.

They need to bring back the Dreamfinder, although Horizons could also use a return.
If Horizons returns; they have to ensure it is NOT doomed by Epcot's own faulty sponsorship model; AGAIN.

Beastly Dominion (formally Kingdom) is rumored to be in development as a whole theme park. Instead of just one land at Animal Kingdom.

Dreamfinders was supposed to be a show when Disney Channel was first created, featuring Old Eli and Figment, based on "Journey in the imagination" but it never got past the script phase

Yeah, he's gone & Patrick from Backdoor Disney has been deemed a liable suspect, since Buzzy's hands & clothes were found in his backpack when Disney sent authorities to investigate him.

I had ridden Maelstrom twice in my lifetime before they closed it down to change it. Still feels a little sad that they got rid of such a cool ride.
My mother works at Epcot and a lot of the animatronics and props and signs from horizons ended up being stored in a sort of office conference area across from her office
I definitely miss the three headed troll animatronic the most as it is the only one I ever saw in person.
I remember it (Beastly Kingdom) being promoted at McDonald's for kids meals. I had a purple dragon toy for years. I wish i still had it. :c

I miss Timekeeper and 9-eye from the Visionarium at Disneyland Paris. The Timekeeper was way before his time in terms of movement range and presence.
@tinylilmatt I only worked as greeter there but loved the actual attraction itself. (My normal work area was fantasyland or frontierland...)
@tinylilmatt Cool! :-D I worked there in 1998-1999 and thn again in 2001 and again in 2003-2004. :) Main attractions were Steam Train, Peter Pan and BTM. :)
@tinylilmatt Pretty much the same here - most of my old team are either teaching at Disney University for the introductory course or are on the managerial staff. :) I go back about once every three years and I miss it terribly in between. :)
Epcot = animatronics graveyard, don't tell animatronic simba about it
Technically, they did partially live up to their promise of including mythical creatures in Animal Kingdom by having the Yeti in Expedition Everest. Whether or not the Yeti will ever move again remains to be seen.
She is built into the faux mountain's infrastructure, so switching her back to fully-animated "A" mode instead of the currently static "B" mode is a death trap waiting to happen, due to the fact that her lurching movements cause the entire ride track to wobble & put those in the ride vehicles at risk for permanent injury or even death should the cars become dislodged from the track.

Buzzy is not missing his helmet and sweater is but buzzy is not. buzzy was removed because people were trying to get close to buzzy and there's a pit. And Disney didn't want to say any thing. And everybody thought he was gone because disney didn't tell enyone. So buzzy is not stolen his not outside of Disney world. And plus no one could get something that can carry buzzy with out geting spoted
The removal was too messy for that idea

Disney should really give journey into imagination with figment a refurbishment. The technology looks pretty bad compared to what we can create today. They could also improve the animatronics in the ride too. But I still love this ride anyway! 😍
I found out what happened to the dreamfinder. I looked up what happened to him and it says:"His same Audio-Animatronic cast was used for the mayor of Phantom Canyon in Phantom Manor."
The animatronics in the great movie ride and the alien from ExtraTERRORestial should be on the next list
Can we please see the animatronic Aladar again on Disney Animal Kingdom? People used to love the dinosaurs like I do.
