I just returned mine, nothing wrong with it but what I really wanted was a 4080 18” from Asus. I learned that settling for a laptop ends up costing more in the future, too many times I bought a laptop, sold it for a loss, just to buy what I really wanted in the beginning.

@@mohitjangid7691 Hey sorry for the late reply . You should go for the Slim as it's better and have latest hardware tech inserted. I am suggesting you that based on the heavy 3d work you would be involved in. So 4080 is really worth it. Plus buy that only if the price range between the 2 isn't much of a difference for you! The legion series is very reliable whether you use it for gaming or 3d applications or any other sort of work related to software development.
I've had my Legion 5 Pro (i7) for over three weeks and I love it! It's the best laptop computer I've ever owned and I've been using a laptop computer as my only computer for many years. As noted, the laptop combined with the power brick is a bit heavy but not a problem for my usage. I bought it for it's ability to run Adobe Lightroom and the Topaz suite of photo editing program and I'm not a gamer. I also wanted an available SSD slot which I used to install a 2 TB ssd card that I already owned, and with 3 GB hard drive space available, I have plenty of room for all of my photo files, computer programs and anything else I want stored locally. Great construction, screen, and performance makes it a "best bang for the buck"! I did consider whether I should make the switch to a Mac laptop, but to get a comparable MacBook Pro, I would have had to spend another thousand dollars and I just couldn't see enough advantages to make it worth it! Thank you, Ben, for this great review which I watched before purchasing the Legion 5 Pro. You certainly are one of the top reviewers and provide such informative and professionally produced videos! Absolutely love the Gen 7 5 Pro, but there's one problem so many people have and no fix in sight which is the screen brightness flickering when the HDR is on. On any streaming/media program. This is exclusively talking about performance, "better" could refer to a number of things which would be impossible to encompass since the Legion is better in some aspects and the G14 in others.
@@Nunoflashy hmmmm....ye....true....g14 better for portability and legion better for performance...and what you said "legion is better in some aspects and G14 in others" i agree with this a 1000% but whats the final answer tho...(i would want best of both but cant happen)....theres got to be one thing which tips it over the other.....both of them are cool……looking for more inputs....Thank you flashy

Hey Ben! Just a quick question, does 1% difference in sRBG really make a difference at all when video/photo editing or colour grading photos/ videos? I'm in need of a 100% sRGB screen so I'm on the fence about getting this laptop with the 99% sRGB.
Tbh I bought mine as a desktop replacement for creative work and you can always buy a separate monitor like the Asus Proarts, and enjoy the great deal you get on it
I need one laptop. Please send me one 🙂
Linux support is abolutly not existent. Sadly.
