Got my Legion 5 last year w/ 4800H + 1660 Ti. Happy I got to snag one, HW situation atm is nuts. Lenovo are doing top tier stuff with laptops atm. Tip: want Dolby Atmos to work w/ speakers? Realtek Audio Console>Device Advanced Settings>switch to Classic mode under Audio Director. This does make audio continue when the 3.5mm jack gets unplugged etc. (because speakers and 3.5mm is now considered the same device). But it's worth it to boost speakers, if you use them. The reason I did this was because some older games can't do proper audio device switching, and every time my headset unplugged I'd have to restart the whole game to get audio back. Huge PITA on my Legion at least, the 3.5mm port has extremely bad retention of the plug. I also recommend in Lenovo Vantage settings> Audio, Smart Settings, turn on Atmos and uncheck both of the "Automatically optimize audio..." boxes. = Always manual control over Atmos.

The only thing you should be worried about if the battery life and gaming performance is good enough in 1440p(as downscaling to 1080p on a 1440p panel looks blurrier than a 1080p screen I've heard). And of course, getting it in stock🙂

I've now had 5 different 10" tablets (starting with Nexus 10 way back in 2012) that had 2560x1600 displays - it's very surprising that it's taken some 8.5 years for this very obvious "sweet spot" resolution to finally turn up in laptops! 16:10 is great - lets you play widescreen video with minimal bars while offering more vertical space for working in compared to 16:9. BTW, I think 4:3 is awful on a tablet (sorry, you got that wrong Apple on your iPad) and it's only maginally better on a laptop.

I have a 30 inch display by Samsung with 2560x1600 resolution since 2009. I would never switch to a 16:9 ratio for my graphics work or gaming. 16:9 is only good for movies and I believe a large ultrawide would be grat for musical apps, like Cubase or Logic Pro and others. When it comes to productivity 16:10 with a matte screen (glossy s***ks) is the optimal, for me at least.
Probably Mark Rathgeber, the editor. Yeah, you just don't notice it when something is so well done but LTT has some of the best video quality on youtube.

Bought this laptop about 6 months ago. (in April) And I didn’t have *ANY* issues with it so far, It’s great for gaming. I can run a game, OBS, and Davinci Resolve 18 all at the same time. Its screen makes it outstanding for watching videos and movies. And DAMN that’s an epic aspect ratio, I REALLY recommend this. (im in love with this laptop help me)

Legion 5 Pro or Strix G15 G513QR?
Legion = R7 5800H/RTX 3070/WQHD 165 Hz, 80 Wh battery
Strix = R9 5900HX, RTX 3070/FHD 300 Hz, 90 Wh battery
Legion has MUX switch, webcamera, higher quality screen, higher brightness, 10W higher TDP on GPU and more ports.
Strix has better battery life, higher screen refresh rate, better portability, better keyboard and trackpad, slightly faster processor, better speakers.
I'm traveling to work quite a lot, and the portability and battery life means a bit, but the webcamera also does. I do both editing and gaming, so the Strix will be better for rendering, and the Legion will be better for gaming. Legion has slightly larger screen and higher resolution, which is nice when editing (and gaming, but will impact performance). Strix has 300 Hz refresh rate which is nice when I play CS:GO!
