That 4 banger turbo is going to be working hard with the tent, lift, and larger tires. Also, you might want to look at the gap by your front upper control arms; it lets in tons of mud, dirt, and road grime into the engine bay. Not good for corrosion, especially if you live anywhere they salt down the roads. Hope you get a lot of safe, happy miles out of the taco!
@@alexmseu ya I saw a video of an engine bay dirty with no trails being driven on lol 😂 and they showed that area in the wheel well. I’ll have to figure something out to at least try to keep some junk out of there. Idk if it will change the heat in the engine bay tho if I close it up 🤔 thanks for the tips and comments!!
I own a 2021 Tacoma OFFROAD and have enjoyed your family adventures. You will find the Toyota very capable for your purpose, and it will do what the Jeep can't with crawl control. I look forward to seeing your videos!
@@wethepeopleoverland1163 $400-$500 for 2” lift if I do it myself. All I had on gladiator was a 2” lift. Can fit 34’s on the ‘24 Tacoma on stock wheels if I want with no running issues 🤷🏻♂️
@@HBombFitness 😂🤷🏻♂️ hey it coulda been fine! Who knows! There’s people with no issues. Kind of weird for mine to be fine then I had some issues after getting stuck once and went to dealership multiple times since May 2024! Got tired of worrying about it
@@appalachhaun_adventures what all did you have to fix on yours, here is a list of I have done to mine so far lol 2,000 miles water pump, e brake failed twice at 4200 miles and then at 5200 miles. 8700 miles oil solenoid connector frayed and broke. Now at 9400 miles no issue knock on wood haha
@ I had to tighten up the ebrake like 3 times. But since May 2024, the rear ring and pinion in the diff had to be fixed. Was leaking and sounded crazy. Then, an engine oil leak appeared. Dealer changed the rear main seal 3 times allegedly. Then, they had it a month using dye in the oil to trace it down with black lights and changed the upper oil pan gasket. They said several times it wasn’t the oil cooler housing that’s known to leak and “look” like a rear main seal leak. But, each time they said it was fixed, it looked fixed until I drove over a couple hundred miles and the leak was back again at the same place where the trans bolts to engine. So idk 🤷🏻♂️ after the last time they had it a month, I said screw it
Good luck with the Tacoma, Toyota recently acknowledged problems with the Tacoma transmission. I would have waited until they worked all the bugs out, first year models are scary, even Toyotas. In light of how many bad engines the Tundra has, it seems Toyotas are maybe a gamble now. I have a 100 series Land Crusier. These new Toyotas aren't what they used to be. Hope it works out great for you.

Good looking rig.. I will say I'm going to miss the gladiator but can't wait to see what you have in store for the lil taco..
Yeah, I can’t wait to start modding it out! 👍

Congratulations very nice tacoma 🎉🎉
Thank you, Sir!
Should've got the frontier pro4x v6 NA
I have no problem with the new 4 cyl in the 4th gen Tacoma. I have the 2023 3rd gen V6 but I want a 4th gen also with the 6 ft. bed. Nice ride. 👍👍
@@ubangiestomp thanks man! I can’t compare it to any other gen since I never had one or drove one, but seems like whoever drives a 4th gen likes it!
The 4 CYL in a wrangler works hard off road. Toyotas are nice till you want taller tires. Lifts are expensive and hard to do yourself. Goodluck.

Good choice, Tacoma will last longer than the Jeep.
It appears that it should! Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment!
