You act like it should cost more per cylinder. Do turbo systems cost more as well? This engine design isn't your old base 4 cyl either. It's in a class of its own. Beefed up everything from crank to cooling. It's oversized. It's more powerful. And designed for low rpm high torque which makes it drive more like a diesel. Also low rpm equal low wear.. longer durability. You only get so many turns of the crank. And low rpm per mile equals very high longevity. Making it as durable as old na engines. Spins half as much per mile. Toyota knows. That's why they chose this.
@@TrailHunterAdventures they just don’t understand they’re so stuck on the old V6 engines. These new 4 cylinders are far more superior. They will last.
U are buying into the comment sections too much. Trans problems were within a select 1000 units. And isn't an issue. Is it overpriced? You spec a 24 with the exact options of a 23 and it's within 1 to 2k. Stop looking at models and look at actual features. All while getting bigger a arms, axles, steering, disc rear brakes, box Frame, totally revamped crawl control, better power, better seating, upgraded interior. List is a.mile long . For the same prices. You don't want the fancy options don't buy them. Truck is a fulllll upgrade over 23. In almost every aspect.

Test drove a 2024. Rode like a dump truck. Also, zero and I mean ZERO leg room in the back seat. Needless to say, I passed.
Liar
Toyota should keep the V6 engine with turbo and non turbo plus 4 cylinder engine with hybrid and turbo engine options.
The 2.4 does not cut it should have left the V6, not much of an improvement.
Jury out...lets see how it lasts
😂looks nice but the price is outrageous for a 4 cylinders
