    the 15a "startup" throws the Error 1. After the startup, itll drop. But the cig lighter plug on most generators are 12a. Wont provide enough power for said "startup" phase. You can use an Xbox power brick also. that works just as good and is a little bit more mobile if you are using it for camping etc

    I've been looking for a fridge cooler for my Jeep for day trips or even road trips. This looks pretty good. Thanks for the review. I might have to grab me one! I'm not sure that I need the battery since I don't expect to use it over multiple days at a time without a power source. The Jeep has 12v plug in the trunk so I could just keep it plugged in? I think our RAM has one too I'll have to look. Sometimes we take either vehicle on trips.

    • @appalachhaun_adventures

      @@WreckedBrewery when you turn your Jeep off, it’ll turn your fridge off too I believe after a few mins. Just like if you have the radio on and turn off the vehicle it’ll turn off after a few mins. Then when u turn off the jeep, just make sure that little battery is on and it’ll keep the fridge going! That will work. In reference to the abandoned quad, with no response when called, did you happen to see if the engine was hot or cold? You can always drop a pin and share it with the local authorities. Definitely dont move it or any vehicle located abandoned, speaking from 20 years of experience as a LEO. Checking to see if the motor is warm or not is perfectly fine, as well as looking to see if the ignition is popped or anything else that a reasonable person would believe were signs of something nefarious. Hunting season within the area is always good to know as well but as a hunter myself, my quad would have been left secured to the tree to prevent theft. Haven't played with the safety alerts much but noticed you can't run them all at the same time. I would say that's the only negative. If you go to the link below or the link for the mirror in the video description you’ll see you can get the mirror + hardwire kit bundle for like $10 extra. It’ll then be hooked up to your vehicle battery for power. If you think that may be hard to install, search RUclips for mirror dash cam hardwire kit install. I’m sure they’re all very similar between the brands. Also, I’m sure a local car stereo shop or something like that could easily do it for you too. I hadn’t planned on using it for the 24 hour parking monitor feature so I didn’t bother with that hardwire kit. I’m sure it’ll have instructions with it too though. amzn.to/4evyMuG

      @@stevensam8834 the other alternative would be a standard usb-c cable from the mirror to your vehicle. However, I’m not sure if your vehicle usb-c ports would supply stable power output from those usb-c ports. I still don’t have my Jeep back from the dealership to try that with just a straight up usb-c cable.

    • @appalachhaun_adventures
      @appalachhaun_adventures 23 дня назад

      @@mohammedkahwaji4023 Only reason you want to to have power when vehicle is off and locked is if you want to have the 24/hr parking monitor on so it’ll record if the vehicle is hit. If you want to use that functionality on the mirror dash cam, you need the hardwire kit to wire it to the battery. If you do that, you no longer need the 12v cigarette lighter power port. I put the link for that hardwire kit in the video description too or it’s there if u go look on Amazon for the mirror and it’s in a bundle to buy both.

    Okay. So, this jumper wire does not "bypass" the aux battery as stated in the Speedflate description. I was confused after reading the Speedflate description so I messaged them. In the description it's described as both a "bypass" and a "connector/charger". TJ at Speedflate messaged me back apologizing for any confusion stating that the product "connects the two". I'm assuming the two batteries. I'm further assuming,(as I'm not an auto mechanic), that if the main and aux are connected, the alternator would in turn keep both the main and aux charged. Would the alternator be overworked charging two batteries and subject to premature failure? Still somewhat confused.................G

      @@appalachhaun_adventures Well, the tiny battery doesn't last very long. it is my understanding and from what the dealership stated, that the aux battery is not charged. This is why they are an issue and frequently replaced. My aux lasted 3 years and it gave me plenty of warning it was on the way out. I'm not saying it's a bad product, I just would like to know what it actually does before I alter a $60G vehicle. So far I've gotten no definitive answer. ATB.........G

      @@hartman4922 from my unders it only runs your electrics like lights, A/C, stereo, etc. when you’re at a stop light or stopped and the auto stop/start is on, which turns your vehicle off at those stops. So while you’re vehicle is off when u use that goofy auto/start stop, it only runs those things from what I have been understanding.
