I liked this movie as a kid back then
This is my favorite Muppet movie of all time.
And yes Pepe is not a shrimp.
HE IS A KING PRAWN!!
Gonzo was definitely my favorite and I loved that he had his own movie. Also, respect the King Prawn!
I always related to Gonzo growing up being a weird kid with no one understanding me and feeling I was alone in the world. But this movie made me realize I wasn't alone in my uniqueness
I love it when movies speak to us on that level.
Did you turn out to be an alien as well?
They did Muppets in the Wizard of Oz, so there is technically a trilogy of adaptations already.
Your Mom loves the Muppets? She has great taste!
Has Allie seen Muppets Take Manhattan? That’s a good one too!
Y’all should watch the original muppet movie too
I love this muppet movie
me too my childhood
Subbed! Y’all have great chemistry and are hilarious
Doug: You gotta pump them up a few times!
Allie: *looks at the camera like she's on The Office*
😂😂 AMAZING. So happy you guys got to this one!! It's so so fun and gave spotlight to some of my fave Muppets, especially Rizzo. And just curious - did you get one of the double-sided DVDs? My copy of the movie is widescreen on one side and fullscreen on the other.
Over a year late so they probably already know this but for anyone that is unaware, Muppets Tonight actually was released on DVD, but as far as I'm aware it was only ever packaged with the complete series of The Muppet Show. I got the series as a Christmas gift when I was younger, and was surprised to see a show I'd never heard of on the last two discs.
You are actually the first person to mention this. I will look into it.
That's bull, because seasons 4 & 5 were never released on DVD, so it's not possible for a "complete series" DVD to exist.
@@LizardOfOz69 That's bull, because I'm holding it in my hands right now.
RUclips won't let me post the imgur link, but if you'd like to verify then I can dm you.
@@Michaeljefferson9000 I distinctly remember it being a big deal that the first 3 seasons got "complete seasons" editions, and because DVD sales of stuff as a whole got really low, they canned the DVDs for the complete seasons 4 & 5. What you got is probably a bootleg.
@@LizardOfOz69 Eh... _maybe,_ but I doubt it. It'd be a pretty elaborate and expensive bootleg to produce (especially for the time) considering the menus, specialty box, box and disc art, number of discs, ect. I mean, from a seller's perspective, a bootleg of this quality wouldn't be worth the investment of time and money.
Not saying you're wrong as you seem to have experience with Muppet or Henson-related releases, but based on my own experience in art, animation, media, design and production, I'd judge this one to be more trouble than it's worth except under specific circumstances.
I'm actually curious, I was aware that 4 and 5 didn't get stand-alone releases but I never looked into why. It couldn't be lack of demand if the other three saw home releases when they did?
The widescreen version is on the other side of the disc, gotta flip that baby over.
Sadly not on my version. Just the one side.
@@moving_piktures aw lame sauce, that's too bad. I didn't realize they'd even released a fullscreen only version. I've got the movie on bluray now, you're welcome to my dvd copy if you want it.
Muppets from Space is my favorite Muppet movie too.
I haven't seen muppets from space, either
This is my least viewed of the older Muppet films along with the original Muppet Movie, and I have yet to see the two newest from the last few years. I love the other ones though.
and yay, The Witches! One of my favorites. I've heard about the remake. It isn't necessary, but I'm curious what they'll do with it.
*looks up the movie realizing there's a trailer out* ..... *watches* ..... um.... okay that's different. Now I'm wondering if any of the story from the original is used. I'll check it out.
(Greg Jarnigan, IMBD) I worked as a background puppeteer on this movie. Just sayin'.
Cool. How was that experience?
Excellent Muppets movie
