I’d never even noticed the regions having specific themes and songs, especially relating to the story of the people who lived and died there. But it all makes so much sense! Great video
Incredible analysis of the music. I think in all my many hours of gameplay I have never really thought about why the music feels so fitting to its specific reason or event. One region I think might deserve its own theme is HRV. There is something so pristine and untouched about the region, but still, Rüdiger's project was there and so were the preppers.
Would love that! I hope that in the future, HRV will be one of the connecting regions to Perseverance Mills. And definetly well deserved if it got its own theme.
Wow, that was a very good production, especially in this video (reminding me of Vaatividya lore videos for Dark Souls or Elden Ring). Peaceful shots and some very good angles, plus a narrative to themes. Keep going; you have my attention and subs.
Videos like this really make me appreciate content of the long dark even more. For me Crossroads elegy is #1 but your choices are excellent. Honorable mention to Fury then Silence theme as it sounds to me like twisted version of original theme.
I almost fully disagree with your choice and that only shows one thing - how insanely good the music is in this game. My favorite region theme is FA original theme (it hits hard when you are crossing the Shoulder Lake on a sunny day) and the absolute favorite is Fury, Then Silence. Great analysis btw
