Yes Mikey, it is a real job at Legoland. Master Builders design and build ALL of the models. Computer modeling/design programs are used, but the rest is still done by hand.
I have a few friends who have worked as Master Builders. Definitely a cool, different job.

In Legoland in Denmark, you can build your own food with lego as a way to order the food, very fun.
Mikey: Peach trees do not tolerate cold weather well. While some varieties can survive New York's cold weather, most will die if the winter temperatures drop consistently below 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

We have peach trees in Canada and don’t know if you have heard, but we have some serious winter here.

The best part of LEGOLAND, NY is the roller coaster. And since we live in Warwick and have season passes, we eat at home and then go to the park.
To find the best price on Legos is go to any thrift store or Goodwill. Sorry to say, but if they told me that 1st plate of food was $45.00, I would have told them to keep it.. Unfortunately all the theme park foods are way over priced. Thanks for sharing your trips with us. Your house is looking good. House maintenance is so important.
Just like snacks at the movies. Waste of money.
But you have to think how little traffic the restaurants in theme parks have. When you have to pay to get to them the prices have to be higher. I think theme parks should do food cart style for foods, or maybe some automated system. Trying to have a full on staffed restaurant much less many of them, is just wasting money unless they charge absurd prices.

My mom has the same sensation when it comes to raw/fresh apples!!! She used to dry heave and get goose bumps at the sound of one being sliced or bit into!!! Crazy
Went too Legoland in Malaysia and they have teams that built each individual country. Had signs describing how many hours and how many pieces along with how many hours it took for each exhibit.

mike!! please go to kim’s bakery in st.louis!!! it’s a korean owned korean bakery and there is a korean grocery store next door that serves food as well :) i think it’s a cure to the lack of korean food in the midwest especially missouri
Mini land is also my favorite part. Haven’t been to the San Diego Lego land in years but it’s nice to live right next to it.

when you go to an amusement park, stay away from the food, it's never good and overpriced af. go for the rides and other attractions and eat somewhere else afterwards.
There's local places in the area that are phenomenal. Lego land isn't a food park. There's no reason for it to be good.

My friend used to work in Denmark with building lego buildings for the lego lands. Yes it done by hand.

OMG!!! When I was in Las Vegas in September I stayed at Luxor and ate at the Pharaoh Buffet!!! IT IS SO GOOD OMG!!! Food was so delish and they had so many options it was so good and filling! I had an event that day too if I had nothing going on I would have had multiple plates haha!!! You NEED to try it next time your there!!!! Everything tasted amazing that I had!!!

Didn’t even know they had a LegoLand in New York! Went to the one in CA (near LA of course), it also has a BBQ joint in its little medieval section. Of course there’s pulled pork and stuff but there’s also ribs and some more stuff, and they’re pretty good. But the granny apples with whipped cream on an almost rainy day while in line to ride the submarine ride…different type of experience right there.

We live in central Florida and for summer this year we took the kids to legoland. Our biggest mistake was making a left turn once inside the park and missing most of the rides at the end of the day after everything closed. Also we went to a panini place that was inside a building, but it was just cold sandwiches. A huge disappointment. Next time we’re definitely not making those mistakes again.

Pretty cool, Mikey! I gotta get down to Legoland. I grew up 20 minutes from there in Middletown (my dad owned the Italian deli on Dolson Ave), so I'm familiar with the area. My son would absolutely love that place.

I remember when a coworker brought in a bunch of desserts from Sysco, her husband worked there, and I recognized every dessert from local restaurants of all price ranges.
Kind of sad that as many people eat dessert, hire a damn pastry chef.

My son's 23 he is a huge Lego collector! One this year cost over a £150.00/$200.00 for Xmas. His ultimate one he wants is the Deathstar! He used to absolutely love going to Legoland, my Niece and Nephews too! Bringing back so many fond memories including sledging on trays!

There are definitely master Lego builders that have full time positions at Lego. They are amazing and are true artists using Legos as their medium.
