So glad that you finally got to go to your first Drive-In movie. I worked the one in Sarasota, FL at the box office. I was all alone but I had a doberman pinscher named Pepper. He was my security and was the biggest baby unless your car had a loud muffler. Then he turned into a crazy barking machine who you thought would kill you in two bites.

Two things you have to try next time you're in St. Louis - Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, and donuts. STL has been described as donut nirvana by Alton Brown. Also some local foods you could check out: toasted ravioli, gooey butter cake, italian beef sandwich, and a slinger. If you're pretty open-minded about pizza, we have a regional type, but it's very divisive.

The “sandwich” is basically what we call Döner (Kebab) here in Germany. You can have it pretty much everywhere! Love it!

I’m a new neighbor of yours in U City, it’s really cool to see more about what the food scene here looks like. Only been here about a month, but my overall impression is that STL food offerings are pretty underrated elsewhere!

If you want to try some good food check out Grand in the Tower Grove area from about Arsenal- Humphrey you'll find food from everywhere etc. Nigerian, Vietnamese, Mediterranean, Japanese and Chinese 💗
Mai Lee has my absolute favorite Chinese and Vietnamese, it’s amazing! If you’re looking for good Mexican the absolute BEST is Lily’s Mexican Restaurant off of kingshighway

You may have to bring some pepper spray and fight off people trying to sell some socks and a mix tape, but the food is phenomenal.

The first time I went to a drive in I was blown away by all the food options and how affordable it all was.
How do indoor theaters still get away with their nonsense?
St Louis native here, glad to see you understand how great Chili Spot is. Another one of my favorite restaurants in St Louis is Balkan Treat Box which I think you'd really like! Also, the rival to Cube Tea Studio (the bubble tea place in your video) is the Taiwanese restaurant Corner 17. And if you're by Corner 17, you gotta check out it's neighbor Seoul Taco...

+1 for Balkan Treat Box, they have weird hours but the food is so incredibly delicious. Best Mediterranean food I've had here.

I miss St. Louis so much! The next time you go through St. Louis, check out Taverna Kebab House in Maplewood (it's a stone's throw from downtown by highway) if you're up for Greek food. Everything they have is amazing. Oh, and if you hear someone that sounds like John Ratzenberger (Cliff Claven on "Cheers"), that's one of the brothers/co-owners. He's super friendly and can give you the run-down on the food, the history - anything you'd want to know about the place, the food & the family.

I'm so happy to see 2 of my favorites in this video, Pappy's and Fountain. You also taught me about this Chinese restaurant. I'll hve to check it out. Next time you're in STL try Ruma's Deli and Crown Candy Kitchen. No trip to St. Louis is complete if you haven't visited Ted Drewes frozen custard. If you like Italian, try Lombardo's Trattoria. Love the video. It was full of happiness and positivity.

So awesome!!!! Love your content Mike Chen. I love the drive inns to. Grew up going to them, but unfortunately a lot of them closed down, but I was able to take my kids to the drive inns in Sacramento, Ca. So they got to experience them.
I wish we had drive ins here in the uk looks like so much fun ! And blimey those ribs they looked heavenly so mouth watering I had to go and make a sandwich I was starving after watching this .

I'm soo glad you're in St. Louis now. As a St. Lunatic, I can't claim Skyview drive-in. Thats Bellville, IL. Must give credit where credit is due. I love that place tho. There is another bubble tea place in to Loop one major street over from there on Delmar. I wish I could take you to some of these places. Our fried rice is dark brown. I've never really seen it anywhere else in the US. Really good!! St. Paul sandwiches, shrimp is my favorite. If I ever talk or see you, its on!! Let's eat!!
I grew up going to drive-in movies. There was at least one in every town in Western Mass. My father had a part-time job at the ticket booth at a drive-in so we went every Friday night! What fond memories. Riverdale drive-in is now a shopping center in West Springfield, Mass.

I hope you try Royal Chinese BBQ for their BBQ Pork and Roast Duck so you can compare it to other cities you've tried since your palate is so well traveled!! They by far have the BEST BBQ pork and duck I've ever had!

Hey Mikey, glad to see you're enjoying St. Louis. Just down the road from Chilispot is Cate Zone Chinese Cafe. It's a smaller place, but it's amazing! The hot crisp fish, lamb with leek, and sweet and sour pork are some of my favorites. I hope you can try it out some time!
Our go to BBQ spot in St Louis is Salt and Smoke. We love their food! Next time we are in town we will try Pappy’s . The ribs look so good.

My husband is Korean and grew up in STL. We live 2 hours south now but travel to STL often! Our favorite place is WUDON, a Korean bbq place with a Korean grocery right next door! If you ever decide to come to my neck of the Missouri Bootheel, come to Sikeston and eat at Lambert's Cafe! They throw rolls at you from across the huge dining area, have all you can eat "pass arounds" and really good southern fried hog jowl!!!

Mikey Chen, welcome to St. Louis! I highly recommend you try Cate Zone for some of the best Szeschuan in the City. Located on Olive Road in what is the closest thing to a China Town, in University City, a northwest suburb. It's a small place that fills up fast on weekends. My favorite is their twice cooked pork, and the won ton soup is amazing too.
i second this, and recommend to get the boiled fish. i also want mikey to go to tai ke and order their mapo tofu. so good

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food...Lily's Mexican Restaurant is a must try. I can't wait to see what you try next!

Recommendatiohs if you're still in town: Giola's Deli (either location), Crown Candy Kitchen for a BLT and Milkshake, Pi or Talayna's for a big pizza, Tratttoria Marcella's for some Toasted Raviolis (then you can cross the street to Biggie's and get the Steak Mudega - very choice). Adam's Smokehouse for more BBQ. I'd also hit up Kalbi Taco and La Vallesana on Cherokee for two very different spins on tacos.
You can also hop the river to Edwardsville for Beast Craft BBQ, and Wang Gang Asian Fusion, and a bunch of other quality stops - Goshen Coffee, etc.
