    One thing i've notice is that when I use bridge mode, the power cable that comes with it can't stand the needed power. In short, kapos yung router. I swapped it with my other power cable sa isang router and it's working great well again.

      Hey thanks for dropping by! That’s weird. I use mine in bridge mode as well since i already have a main router but it seems to be working fine.

      i have not tried tha asus one yet, but by just basing it on the paper features i think the TP link beats it.

    Hi. I just bought this modem because of its advertised Gigabit WAN port. I set it up, but I noticed that the WAN port is fixed to 100Mbps Full Duplex. How do I switch it to 1000Mbps as advertised? I went through all the settings but was not able to find the setting for it. Thank you in advance!

      maybe your using a non gigabit lan cable in your wan port.

    Hey, great and exhaustive review, just a quick question, as I am looking to replace my old router and I am torn between the AX20 and this AX23 one, the only real difference I can figure out between them is the USB port for the AX20 and lack thereof on the AX23 and a dedicated smartphone app for the AX20 and for those features the price hops up an additional 25$. So my question is, do you have any experience with the aforementioned AX20, and are there any fundamental differences, apart from those 2? Thanks in advance!

    • @PinoyAverageConsumer
      @PinoyAverageConsumer  2 года назад +2

      Hey thanks for dropping by! The AX 23 also has a smartphone app. but to be honest, it's not something i check most of the time. If i had to guess, the USB port on the AX20 is most likely for a network storage which is convenient for storing some media files and documents but don't expect any simultaneous 4k media streaming from this. IMO we buy routers for their reliability, it's not the type of equipment you buy to fiddle around with the app and features. this one is pretty reliable. :)

    Am I correct in my understanding that I won't get the benefits of Wifi 6 if say, I use a wifi 6 range extender with a wifi 5 router? The router itself needs to be the one that's wifi 6?

    • @PinoyAverageConsumer

      No matter how fast the speed they all claim, they are still limited by their 1gbps port connections or their paid ISP subscriptions. But technically, none of them can ever go higher than 1 gbps.

    sir bakit sakin same lang yung ping sa ml nung pldt modem/router pa gamit ko at nung tplink ax23 na ginamit ko? naramdama ko lang is mas stable lang yung connection kahit naka 5ghz across 2 rooms? device ko is mi 10t pro at wifi6 compatible naman. normal lang din po ba na yung wifi sa pldt ay active parin kahit nakakabit na ako sa tplink ax23? like may pldt 2.4 at 5ghz na wifi parin na makita sa wifi-assistant pero sa tplink na wifi ako nakaconnect so bale 4 yung wifi namin (2.4 and 5ghz pldt tsaka 2.4 and 5ghz tplink)

    • @PinoyAverageConsumer
      @PinoyAverageConsumer  2 года назад +2

      yung 5Ghz kasi mas mabilis talaga kaso maliit ang range.. saka mas hindi crowded usually yung 5G. bakit nakaon parin yung PLDT mo kung may router ka na? kung gusto mo solo mo lang yung TPlink pwede rin.. ibahin mo nalang yung SSID.
