@jcristina I'm a little lost on how you manage 2 separate connections. I assume that you have to have 2 connections to each device that runs the speedily software, for example ethernet to your starlink router and then wifi to your cellular connection. I'm using the Trendnet TEW-829DRU, dual WAN router. One WAN to the Starlink modem. The second WAN connection goes to a point to point wireless/WiFi. I'm still seeing poor performance from starlink at some times, this morning I was only getting 12M down with 4M up. Other times It is up in the advertised ranges of 50-60M down and 14M up... I would like to be streaming directly from an ATEM, which I don't think will currently supports Speedify. It would be great if Speedify supported running in a dual WAN router. I am usually running the router in fallover mode (sometimes with Starlink as primary and sometimes with the other connections as primary. I was seeing issues if I try running load balanced with connections hanging and having to do a lot of refreshes.
So the way mine is setup right now is that I have my T-Mobile via WiFi and my Starlink via Ethernet. The Speedify sees both connections coming into the computer and automatically uses them. Really simple. The many thing is just to be able to get multiple connections into your computer. I could have used two NIC cards. One for Starlink and one for T-Mobile but the 5Ghz T-Mobile is so strong as I’m close to the gateway, this is the easiest setup for me use case. Hope that helps my friend.
I bought the litebeam by ubiquity and the switch 8port usbi. The switch wont let me install a gateway because I am using the starlink router.? I have to activate the litebeam system by app on my cell phone. I am really new to this. I get message outages also.
JC, I spent over 275 dollars to bypass The Star Link Router, and could not get more than one MB/S on the new router. What gives? What am I doing wrong?
I havent been able to disconnect my Gen 1 starlink router and plug in a different one. It doenst work, there is no bypass mode option in my settings....
TABOO CONFIGURATION SEEMS TO WORK JUST GREAT! Greetings J! I realize this question is the off-topic to this video. Sorry bout that! Thanks also for your response to my question about a year ago regarding use of the Internet Adapter. I've been a long-time subscriber from my phone but see now a separate subscription is needed from my computer. Anyway, in the early days of StarLink during and shortly after beta, there was much discussion about how to connect the StarLink router to an existing WiFi network. Part of that discussion included how to gain access to the StarLink App if the SL Router is bypassed. Further, there was more discussion about potential interference caused by not bypassing the StarLink Router and simply assigning a different SSID to the connected second Router. For many months now I have been running the StarLink Router with one SSID and the second Router (connected via the adapter) on a different SSID. While this configuration seems to work fine, the only issue was that I'd need to login to the StarLink Router's SSID in order to open the StarLink App. More recently, however, the StarLink App appears to open just fine even when I'm logged into the second router's SSID. Seems strange but it appears that, while I'm logged into the second SSID, when opening the StarLink App it appears to connect to the StarLink's SSID and works fine. I only say this as the App shows connected to the StarLink SSID but my phone shows connection to the second SSID. Must have been included in the recent App update??? So my question goes back to potential interference with running the two different SSIDs with my configuration. The two routers are literally 3' from each other yet all seems to work perfectly fine and speeds have been great (with the caveats of known StarLink speed issues over recent months). What am I missing? My configuration seems to be Taboo yet it works great? And now its even better not having to switch SSIDs in order to open the StarLink App. Appreciate any insight you might have in this regards, Best, Rich sherich@msn.com
You can always have one network step on the other cause a dounleNAT situation but it really depends on the IPS assigned and more over the number that are in use as there are a few hundred available.
Due this being a satellite internet service I think we will always have those small outrageous until there are 10-20-30,000 sats in orbit. Until then, this software is working well for me.
Being confused about strlink router vs personal router. You tubers say bypass strlink others (and I know one) has both connected and says both work fine?? The person I know runs it via multi-switch device, then to his routers. Any advice on this??
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think we need to setup something like a raspberry pie as the ‘speedily wan bonder’ and forward that to the Wan port of any good router, then onto all your devices..??
It’s a bonding service. Meaning is connects multiple internet into one more reliable and faster connection. You could even use your smart phone. I use t-mobile home internet plus Starlink
Thanks J another awesome video I have been waiting for! This would be a game changer for me. I have saw all your Starlink videos and now that you found this I would like to know your entire setup like you have shown in the past. Clearly you have the two internets now and would like to know the router you are using for the bonding working with this new software ect! Geek out on how you got this set up! Love knowing the Ins and outs like you always share! Your system has changed since the last time you broke down your system. Thanks so much again!
I use OpenMPTCProuter and it's free. A little more control, and a little more thought and planning involved but it's rock solid. I haven't touched it in over 1.5 years.
hey im writing so hopefully someone can help me i have just got starlink and i live in kefalonia (greece) and i have used the starlink sx site to see my closest servers and such, now i can see that my green triangle which i think is the server my starlink is currently connected too is in frankfurt but also on the map i see some purple triangles of my understanding those are closer stations too me and there is one in bulgaria obviously closer to me. should i contact starlink and ask them to swap me over to the one in bulgaria? and how would that affect my connection. i would like to state that i am very impressed with the connection so far accept for gaming where i have a lower ping than my current greek provider but my ms in game often spikes for a couple of seconds which is somewhat annoying.
Can you explain how this all connects together? Can the two internet sources be Ethernet based? I have Starlink which frequently goes “disconnected” and has to be power cycled or reset. Still in a long queue trying to get support. I have a Cradlepoint modem/router with an TT&T sim. Most of my house is hardwired to computers. I have a nest mesh network that connects hardwired. When Starlink goes down, I unplug it from the switch and plug in AT&T. I don’t understand if this is software running on a device, how do these two internet sources connect?
@@jcristina my Starlink has to be powered down and sometimes factory reset just about everyday. Very frustrating with their poor support. Your content is great
Hi J, I got a question. My ping is steadily at 60 during gaming. I was using cat5e and switched to cat6 and I've also checked the wifi and no difference. Im wondering if I added a mesh node and wire that to my console, do you think that would make a difference? My goal is to get the lowest possible ping. I restarted everything, and surprisingly, I got 15 ping, and then it shot up immediately to 30 and stayed fluctuating between 50 and 60 ping. I also am considering changing the DNS on the console as well as my starlink. Unfortunately, I wouldn't know which DNS server to use. I am located in Manitoba Canada. Thanks.
Good morning Sir. I have used Speedify and Connectify in Africa. Not kidding. I would go and get 3 SIMs and load up with Gigs of data and run 3 wifi cell modems. I could work relatively well in places where broadband was pretty much a joke. These guys are legit and I am a fan.
Sorry man but I need to ask a question unrelated to this specific video. I just saw on my Starlink account page that I now have the option to change service types from the RV service I've had for a year to Residential service. I've waited 3 years for Residential. Now, after waiting for so long and after watching some of your videos, I don't know if I want to. What will I really be gaining? My speeds now are 50-120 up during the day but as low as 3 from 6pm to 10pm. Yes the TV struggles. Will I gain speed and more specifically a more even and consistant number in speeds?
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately this only seems to work at the device level. I have a lot of devices on my network and most won't be able to use this. Please tell Speedify they need a hardware solution that we can plug multiple networks into to and then into a router.
Speedify runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS. That said, you can share the Speedify connection over WiFi from one device as a hotspot to other devices, or over Ethernet to a router and connect other devices to that router - this works on macOS and Linux using their built in features or on Windows using Connectify Hotspot.
@@jcristina I have TVs, Streaming Cameras, and other devices that you cannot install software onto. It would be so much better to have this as a single input into a router, then it would be only one thing to configure. Too bad they don't have a hardware device running their software with 2 ethernet inputs and one output that you could connect to the WAN port on a router.
If I understand this correctly, you'd basically need to have starlink+another ISP (that is more reliable than starlink) to switch over when starlink goes down? Would really appreciate anyone's help. Trying to get starlink reliable for zoom video calls
Currently, I have my PC connection via ETHERNET to Starlink and via WiFi to T-Mobile. That's it.. Speedify does the rest automatically. It does not matter if T-Mobile is "more reliable", just needs to be a connection as the likelihood that both will fail at the exact same second is slim.
This is super cool that this working for you in this fasion... do you have any advanced QoS shaping your doing on your connections, you've mentioned your family before... are they plugged in an trying to do gaming while your live streaming, etc.. Super advanced QoS shaping rules can REALLY work well.
yes please do a overview then maybe a deep dive also i did get T-mobile home for 50 pre month so i have both starlink and t-mobile works really great thanks for the heads up on that!
You asked recently for examples of connectivity: I'm in SW France and this is the kind of connexions I have : Test Type : Manual Test Test Time : 2023-10-30 17:53:34 (Paris winter time) Download Speed : 116.18 Mbps Upload Speed : 6.67 Mbps Latency : 0.05 Sec. I would like to know more about your T Mobil / Starlink hardware / software. And how this software service installs. I have Starlink and T Mobil internet.
I installed the software in about 5 mins and it automatically did everything. It actually found both connects and used them immediately. I’ll do more soon.
While I actually do not have Starlink, I frequently watch and enjoy your videos. Looking at your list of routers you've tried. I couldn't help but notice no ASUS Routers on your list. Years ago I bought what was the baddest, meanest, fastest router it was an ASUS RT-AC1750. One of the first AC dual band routers. It did a couple of years ago die. I replaced it with, yes another ASUS. The newer RT-AX86U, while it only has one 2.5Gbs port, it has one. It's wicked fast, has a MESH Mode, does load balancing, and fail over. My current provider is [gag] Spectrum. When Spectrum fails I simply connect my cell phone to a USB port and my apartment maintains internet. I'd really be interested in how well an ASUS AX router would fare in your testing methodology. I know ASUS will outperform any TrendNet, TP-Link router.
I had a lot of issues when I first got Speedify, then I realised I couldn’t rely on the “fastest server” feature and needed every day to try a few of my local servers until I found one that ran solid. I’m using my mobile tethered to pc with starlink. If I’m live-streaming or on zoom calls, I need to run them on the redundant setting and then I get a clean connection. 👌🏼💎 Worth the effort to work it out, there’s not many options otherwise.
Will love to see speedify offering a hardware based. My wife and I have computers from my company jobs where we cannot install any software in it. Therefore a speedify hardware switch or router option will be a great option for me.
@@jcristina would you be able to explain that a little more? Would you be able to connect a smart TV to that? I'd love the benefits of Speedify on our TV as well 😅
Hi JC, can you use the TP dual WAN switch to provide the two sources? Would you have to disable the load balancing feature first? I've got Sl in WAN 1 and a teathered cell / OpenWRT router on the other wan going to the ER605 and then into a TPlink mesh network.
@@jcristina this is where I am confused as well, it seems like its a device specific software solution, that would help that one specific device. But what about the network I fail to see how it can affect the router since the router firmware and software are different? Is there a network video I need to watch?
I'd certainly like more on this topic, For example, We want to do live streams with or ATEM Extreme from remote venues,,, In the rack I plan on a Beryl Router and 16 port Switch to connect all our equipment - Then A "portal to the outside world" I assume Speedify can help in remote situation too?
I am watching this and I did write Starlink I’m in rural Michigan and I think my closest pop is Manistique vs Chicago. Can you share more videos on how you bridge a back up service. Love the visuals and I’m still not figuring it out but have learned so much through your videos. Thank you.
Excellent video on a solid product option. Great option vs Peplink especially for economy and getting exposure to this arena before you make a hardware purchase that has a finite life span. Hardware is almost always static in contrast to perpetual NGU Internet bandwidth speeds and related hardware.
JC, downloaded and gave it a try with my Starlink with my home cable (Spectrum) internet service. No improvement. Actually it degraded my throughput. Tried all types of configurations as well. Best improvement noticed when encryption is turn off which is logical. What configuration settings do you have set? I would like to try them out. Mahalo! -Terry
So this installs on individual devices and is not a substitution for a multi-wan router, if I understand all this correctly. So, it's kinda apples and oranges. Nor will it help with ip cameras for security as they generally can't run apps, so you can't port forward into them utilizing this. I can see how it would help you with your streaming your podcasts, etc., and it was informative to learn about the types of bonding. UTT doesn't have posts on its facebook page in the last two ? years or so and someone on Amazon commented they are no longer manufacturing, but I've asked them if their router you mentioned will help get around Starlink's failure to allow port forwarding if the second WAN does allow port forwarding, but is not the primary. Will see if they respond.
sounds like intel proset. I have two Lan ports and have set up load balance and it actually did not increase my speeds at all, this was through a gigabit switch
Per there support page. Search Results Featured snippet from the web Speedify can't be set up on an XBOX directly, but there is a workaround! Your Speedify connection can be shared on an XBOX through Connectify Hotspot. Connectify Hotspot is a virtual router software for your Windows PC or laptop.
Awesome. This is a modern version of what Boeing Computer Services was doing in 1978 with mainframe computers and satellite data links. They were after super reliability on systems used by the government and military. They simulated all sorts of massive failures: power outages, disk pack crashes, data corruption, data center complete losses, you name it. It just ran... Of course, the data centers we had back then probably had about the same capacity as today's cell phones. ;)
JCristina - In the "past Live-Streams" section, there is a black coffee/tea cup with white image of a steaming coffee cup on it. Where'd this image come from? Is this a product one could purchase somewhere? I want one of these cups! Help a coffee-drinking (sorry rare tea) brother out 🙂
great info !! thanks !! a bunch!! but I have questions...please excuse my ignorance...!! but if it is software based how do I implement it?? as back up i have DSL from local phone co. i can not get anything faster on the ground.... I am in a rural area. I have StartLink (router internet to dongle) to Ethernet then to (managed switch Linksys se3008v2) then to ps5 and to (28port managed switch lgs528 Linksys) then to 2 laptops and 3 computers. ( i know i shouldn't be using a switch behind a switch ... I just found this out after doing some research ) I also have 2 "routers" cisco rv325 and TP-link " load balancer" (TL-R480T+) not used right now I know i can down load software to laptops and phone and computer....but to routers or switches or ps5?? do i need to setup and computer server with software on it then to switches?? maybe i will just contact their tec support to investigate..... my setup further... thanks again !! help!!!!!! PLEASE DO A VIDEO !! thanks !! NOT !! a guru but know enough to get into trouble !! lol Phil in calif.
Hi congratulations for your great videos here especially this one as streaming is what I am trying to get as good as possible. I have a streaming box for live tv channels and I can’t install speedify into it…would there be a way to install it in a device that would then feed my box with an Ethernet plug? Also was wondering if speedify could be installed in a device that then would feed my mesh system router so then all my house could benefit from speedify? Thanks and best regards Henri
Yes and yes. You could install it on an old laptop for example and use it as a router for your entire network. I may go into some of this in future videos as it looks like people are interested.
Cool. I'll need to check this out, thanks for the info. When you run a speedtest and the packets are shared on two parallel connections, which ISP is identified as the provider?
I ordered Speedify a couple of weeks ago to upgrade from my prior load balancing setup, and I have been spectacularly unsuccessful in using it, trying all combinations of three inputs. I will reach out to Speedify when I get a block of time to see if I can get it working to a point that it is not much worse than my Starlink signal. I really want it to work, but so far it has been crap. I cross my fingers that I can get your experience with a bit of help from Speedify.
I'm sorry to hear Speedify isn't working out for you. A couple of quick suggestions you can try: Change the transport mode and try a few different servers. If the issue continues, reach out to our support team.
I used speedify before. It mostly works. I only issue in the past 2 years ago it slow down my connection and sometimes I lost my session but it sounds like they fixed it
So for those who don't care to watch all the fluff added to the message; Basically he says to use WAN smoothing to use 2 WAN's to minimize impact from WAN outage. Oh and he talks a lot about a software solution (with monthly fee if you want to use it correctly) and briefly touches upon one single hardware solution.

One for Starlink and one for T-Mobile but the 5Ghz T-Mobile is so strong as I’m close to the gateway, this is the easiest setup for me use case. Hope that helps my friend.

ok i am a bit confuse, what are you using to make your star link faster and more stable please ?
So this only works with two connections? Or does it stabilize a single connection as well?

Thanks for all the Starlink info.
Thank you Bob for being here.
JC, I spent over 275 dollars to bypass The Star Link Router, and could not get more than one MB/S on the new router. What gives? What am I doing wrong?
If you’re not getting 100Mbps down and 10Mbps up I would reach out to Starlink. One Mbps is a problem.
Appreciate any insight you might have in this regards,
Best,
Rich

You can always have one network step on the other cause a dounleNAT situation but it really depends on the IPS assigned and more over the number that are in use as there are a few hundred available.

A dedicated Speedify video is what we want
👍🏻👍🏻
Just did it on Friday
How would you set up Starlink and a Verizon 5G home using this software outputted to a single WiFi connection? Is this possible?
Yep. You could bring say Starlink in via Ethernet, Verizon in via WiFi and then share you internet from that PC/Laptop with the rest of your devices.
If I order Speedify do I need a second server or will it increase my speed and dependability on Starlink alone?
It’s a bonding service. Meaning is connects multiple internet into one more reliable and faster connection. You could even use your smart phone. I use t-mobile home internet plus Starlink
Thank you, I count on your knowledge it is so appreciated 😊
@@jcristinacan you make it work on Xbox or ps5
I am going to pick this up now. GREAT VIDEO
Thanks for the support. Also, let us know how it works out. We are all a big community and love to see us all help each other. Many blessings.
hey im writing so hopefully someone can help me i have just got starlink and i live in kefalonia (greece) and i have used the starlink sx site to see my closest servers and such, now i can see that my green triangle which i think is the server my starlink is currently connected too is in frankfurt but also on the map i see some purple triangles of my understanding those are closer stations too me and there is one in bulgaria obviously closer to me. should i contact starlink and ask them to swap me over to the one in bulgaria? and how would that affect my connection.
i would like to state that i am very impressed with the connection so far accept for gaming where i have a lower ping than my current greek provider but my ms in game often spikes for a couple of seconds which is somewhat annoying.
Currently, I have my PC connection via ETHERNET to Starlink and via WiFi to T-Mobile. That's it.. Speedify does the rest automatically.
Thanks.
Awesome content as always !

Will you walk through a step by step onscreen setup process for the Speedify software?
Coming!
Great video definitely informative!
Blessings.
If adding T Mobile Home fixes the lag why wouldn't I just dump Star link and go with TMobile?
Does not fox the lag. Only the speed and reliability as it’s using two bonded connections.
It my understand you can switch back. That said you will about double your current speed during the hour of most congestion in your area.
Will this help if only got starlink internet no other service?
Sadly no. It’s all about the bonding. You could use a phone as an additional internet source with it.
Great content . Thanks a lot for such information.
Thanks so much.
Wow Tayfun...Hello there!
Will this work in New Zealand?
👍🏻
So this is only helpful if I have an additional service provider on top of my starlink?
Thank you so much
So glad I could finally put this out.. I've been sitting on it for WEEKS making sure it works well!
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately this only seems to work at the device level. I have a lot of devices on my network and most won't be able to use this. Please tell Speedify they need a hardware solution that we can plug multiple networks into to and then into a router.
It's probably in the works already..
I believe you can use this on you computer, Pc Mac Linux and phone and …
Speedify runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS.
@@michaels8607 I hope so.

How do you connect dual sources for Starlink & T-mobile?
Starlink is through Ethernet. The T-Mobile is coming into the PC via WiFi.
Hi just a quick question concerning your network setup…what is the benefit of putting a network switch right after the starlink adapter ?
Thanks
QoS. Many reason for it.
I would like to know more about your T Mobil / Starlink hardware / software. And how this software service installs. I have Starlink and T Mobil internet.

If you bypass the starlink router will the heater still work using my own router?
Yes
More info please. Have my own vpn, can you choose which one. Or does it choose?
You can select the server you’re going through.
Worth the effort to work it out, there’s not many options otherwise.
Will love to see speedify offering a hardware based. My wife and I have computers from my company jobs where we cannot install any software in it. Therefore a speedify hardware switch or router option will be a great option for me.
You could even use an old laptop as a router and still use Speedify over an entire network. option...

Is It possible to get star link to try
Sadly no but I do think they have a money back 30 day. Check into it.
What is your thoughts on the new Starlink mesh system, is it any good.
As long as you do not need to backhaul data, it's awesome!
Hi JC, can you use the TP dual WAN switch to provide the two sources? Would you have to disable the load balancing feature first? I've got Sl in WAN 1 and a teathered cell / OpenWRT router on the other wan going to the ER605 and then into a TPlink mesh network.
Sure.. I'm using Ethernet - Starlink and WiFi - T-Mobile
@@jcristina this is where I am confused as well, it seems like its a device specific software solution, that would help that one specific device.
Yes, as long as you have two or more connections available to your device, Speedify can bond them and provide you with speed and reliability.

Excellent video on a solid product option. Great option vs Peplink especially for economy and getting exposure to this arena before you make a hardware purchase that has a finite life span. Hardware is almost always static in contrast to perpetual NGU Internet bandwidth speeds and related hardware.

@@jcristina You running Speedify on Windows, Mac , IOS or Andriod?
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Joe... I'd like to know more about Speedify

@JCristina thank you! It works! No more rolling ms!
Of course, the data centers we had back then probably had about the same capacity as today's cell phones. ;)
Great point. So far in so short of a period of time.
