a noob question, by checking the "DHCP Server" from the AX23, magkakaroon ba ng issues ang router/modem na galing sa globe/converge/pldt at AX23? since dalawang DHCP server ang gumagana at the same time?
Ang nagiging issue is double nat, which is mostly console ang affected for online multiplayer.. pero minsan okay pa din naman.. sa akin naka double nat din no issue..

Hi. I just bought this modem because of its advertised Gigabit WAN port. I set it up, but I noticed that the WAN port is fixed to 100Mbps Full Duplex. How do I switch it to 1000Mbps as advertised? I went through all the settings but was not able to find the setting for it. Thank you in advance!

Both are okay, but would prefer the ruijie ew1800gx, reason is i dont like the subscription based feature of ax23.
have you encountered that after certain days the speed of the modem slows down to just 100mbps, while after reboot it will be back to normal to 800mbps. The Qos is disabled, so im wondering why is there seem to have a capping after a certain time.
kuya necessary ba talagang i-on ang Bridge mode for double NAT?
Hi John, a lot will agree on bridge mode, pero in my network connection sa house hindi ako naka bridgemode, and tama para maiwasan ung double nat issue is by bridging. usually most affected ng double nat issue is mga consoles like PS, xbox, switch etc.. kung may issue ka sa online games, you can either create port forwarding or just use bridgemode para mas madali..
What smartphone did you use? Is it use wifi 6 or wifi 5? It seem the connection from deck is fastest i ever seen from all your review.
still using wifi 5 phone, the huawei p30pro.. :)

both are actually stable from 1 wall and even 2 walls (tested on mobile legends). for me i would get the ax23 since it is already wifi 6. but if range is just your main concern, the tenda ac23 is great..

i have not tested the ax10, so i cant really comment about that one, because maybe the actual range would be different. but specification wise, i will choose a tri core cpu since i have a lot of devices connected..

@@igalc Hi, I have not tested it yet, but even though it is 3-year-old router the hardware specs are better. like in my current setup, im using asus blue cave as my main Mesh node router, which is 5-year-old router while my ac59u v2 is just aimesh node even though they are just more than a year old from release.
sir bakit yung 2.4ghz wifi is cap sa 120mbps pero yung 5ghz 800mbps sakin. nakalagay 2.4ghz can reach speed of 500mbps.
Hi sir, for 2.4ghz usually it is 300mbps, never pa ako naka encounter ng more than 300mbps, even though mentioned sa mga router is upto 500 mbps.. additional factor pa po ung mga wifi devices natin na nag coconnect, pedeng ung wifi card sa mobile device natin is 100mbps lang capable, or 150mbps or normally 300mbps. then aside from that hardware limitation po, is wifi interference ng 2.4ghz wifi network, like sa akin ngaun ang daming wifi network na lumalabas, dahil sa mga kapit bahay na may wifi din kaya affected ang wifi network ko sa 2.4ghz. kaya d na din ako nakaka kuha ng 300mbps sa mga routers ko on 2.4ghz.
and lastly po, ung mga nasa box kahit anung manufacturer po sila asus, tplink dlink etc.. is based on perfect environment, as in walang wifi interference, walang walls para ma achieve, kaya bihira ma achieve po ung actual spec sheets na posted nila.. :)
and reason for 5ghz is upto 800 mbps, is mas malaki talaga bandwidth capability ng 5ghz and less crowded like 2.4ghz, kasi sa 2.4ghz d lang naman wifi gumagamit, even microwave, remote controls are commonly using 2.4ghz frequency..

Hi sir, unfortunately, d ko na test yung mr80x, kaya for this one i will choose the ax23, okay naman performance nya if yun ung hanap mo po, issue ko lang with ax23 is with their additional security features na may additional if enable mo..

Hi sir, I'm currently using Tenda AC23 napanood ko din sa review mo dati and sulit naman sya. Now I'm interested to avail wifi 6 na router na. Ask ko lang po if sulit po ba itong tp-link AX23 or tenda RX3. Mas mabilis po ba sila and mas malayo yung range compared sa tenda ac23?
Hi, both unit the ax23 and rx3 actually good, in terms of range mas okay yung ac23, advantange lang nung dalawa is wifi 6, para mautilize mo ng maigi ung wifi 6 ung mga devices mo is dapat may wifi6 hardware din.. for me if you are stepping up your network to look for mesh na routers na din, para in the future you can use them in your own mesh network, and at the same time check mo what brand you prefer kasi ung mesh is not mesh compatible with other brands.. :)

Hi Merc, disbaling the wifi capability of your stock modem router is ideal, para less interference with other wifi network.. (Wifi network lang po i off mo)

ax23 version 1.20 gamit ko yung ofdma features missing sa webgui di ko alam kung working ba talaga of hindi, even yung beamforming at mu-mimo wala din sa setting
Hi Jann, unfortunately walang oftion to turn off/on ung ofdma with the ax23, model ax21 nila meron. and for the mu-mimo and beam forming wala din, i guest always on, sa ASUS there is an option for MU-mimo enabling
@@JKChavez inemail ko na tplink to confirm ang yes sabi nga nila default on yan ofdma, mu-mimo, beamforming well sana nga totoo :) kaya ko pla na tanong about sa ofdma kung may option to turn it off, kase some of my device sa bahay like N,AC parang nag coconflict dyan sa ax, pero yung mga Ax device ko naman e wlang problema
@@anyu-channel169 Thanks for the confirmation sir, tama mas maganda kung may option for each to turn on or turn off, kasi minsan hindi maganda ung nagiging performance like for beam forming, then sa wifi 6 naman may nagkaka issue na ibang older devices.. :)
Hello po, hoping manotice, ilang araw na po kasi akong naghahanap ng router na wifi 6 and with bandwidth control na affordable, ask ko lang po if may bandwidth control po ba yang ax23? if wala, ano po kaya ma rerecommend nyo sa akin na wifi 6 router na may bandwidth control na po, ang budget ko po ay 6k below, thank you❤
Hi, for my personal recommendation asus ax53u po good na sya less than 6k po un.. and most recommended ko un since mesh capable.. pero not sure if may stock pa since pinalitan na sya ng asus rt-ax52, which is good pa din po.. and both may bandwith limiter po..
Sir anong difference ng Ax12 and ax23? balak ko kasi sana mag extend ng router
hindi ko po na test si ax12, pero per spec sheet, ax1500 vs ax1800, if may marami kang device sa bahay na connected sa 5ghz wifi network, better get the ax23 lalo na kung may mga media server ka and running via wireless.. pero kung casual internet lang the ax12 would suffice.. :)

Hi Nathaniel, unfortunately, i have not tested the mr80x yet, so i cant really comment on that one. The AX23 is a solid router for its price range..

Hi sir, it should be able to support upto 1Gbps, kung aabot sa taas ng house wifi depende pa din sa structure ng house at ilang floor.. up and down na bahay kaya naman, pede lan from the main modem router then itong ax23 sa taas ng house.. :)
@@JKChavez sir dumating na sya kanina lang order ko sa lazada, AX23 1800, gumamit ako ng cat 6 lan, yung main namin na PLDT 600 mbps, bali 20 meters yung wire sir na cat 6 papunta sa taas,, nung nag speedtest ako sir 90 to 100 mbps lang sya.. anu po kayang problema sir? Naka lan cable naman sya na cat 6.. thank you ng marami sir
@@elilaturnas9641 pedeng lan cable issues sir, or yung port po, have you tried shorter cable, connect a laptop or desktop to main modem-router, then speed test, pag na hit mo around 500 to 600 test mo naman ung ax23 if nakukuha nya din with short cable kahit sa tabi lang muna ng main to isolate ung issue..

Hi. definitely it is more than enough, but place it in the middle of appartment as much as possible, because if place on one of the bedroom, the other bedroom might have weaker signal.. so proper placement is still needed.

It depends sir sa construction ng bahay, but between the 2, if need mo wifi6 na for future proofing tplink ax23, if you dont care about wifi 6 and you dont have wifi 6 devices tenda ac23 solid..

I have not tried the ax10 or ax20, but between the ax10 and ax23, ax23 should be better since the 2.4ghz wifi frequency of ax10 is is not wifi 6 capable based on spec sheet

JK Chavez is this good for cat8 cable for that Wifi modem?
CAT 8 should work fine if you already have cat8 cable, but if you are still buying a cable, as low as cat 6 would work fine with this type of wifi routers.. :)
Kakadating lang nung router kahapon tas na setup ko na rin po sya, working naman. Ang problema po ay bigla syang nag rereboot after ilang hours, bale 4 times na sya nag reboot simula nung setup. Ganun din po ba sa inyo?

Hi King, unfortunately wala pong sim card slit ito, kung naghahanap ka ng sim card operated wifi modem router, Pwede mo i check si D-link DWR-M920, or one that i can suggest is yung huawei black mamba, d ko pa na review pero un ung ni recommend ko sa friend ko and so far satisfied naman sya with the result.. :)

Hi, unfortunately hindi po, ung bigay po ng internet service provider natin is modem router, ung modem part po yung talagang nagbibigay ng internet connection sa atin, yung router part ang namamahala kung sinung device nag rerequest ng access at galing internet papunta sa device na nag request.
ung mga 3rd party wifi router po like this one is wala talgang modem capability.. tumutulong lang sila to improve network reliability and range..

magkaiba kasi sila ng area, if you just want pure wifi coverage ac23, if you want to invest a little for wifi 6 router, ax23.. :)

Sir, baka may test kayo nito ng wifi vs wired LAN connection sa laptop? Yung AC23 ko kasi (na binili ko din last year dahil sa reco nyo) kapag wired nabibigay yung 600mbps ni converge, pero kapag wifi mga 250mbps na lang. mas malakas kaya ang wifi nitong tp link? Salamat!
Hi sir, for LAN ung actual speed ang makukuha mo, but for wifi there might be some issues, kung sa 2.4ghz ka naka connect max will be 300Mbps (this will be in a perfect environment) usually less than 300 lang talga nakukuha marami kasing factors.. while for 5ghz wifi frequency kaya ni ac23 more than Gbps, and another factor will be yung wifi card na nasa laptop mo, pwedeng speed nung card is 300mbps lang, or pwedeng single band sya walang 5ghz wifi capability..
for me, 300mbps lang ako, for lan kaya sya ng laptop ko, for 2.4ghz wifi naman over ac23 naglalaro ako ng 230 to 250mbps, while on 5ghz wifi kuha ko si 300mbps.. :)

Hi J, cant do a ping test now since wala na sa akin ung unit, pero with regards to ping, i usually do it, hindi lang kasama sa actual review, i do it for 5 to 10 minutes to check if may drop, so far walang drop sa model na toh..

No sir, hindi po pede i replace ang modem-router ni pldt\converge or other ISP ung modem capability ung nagbibigay ng actual internet access.. kaya connect mo lang sa lan port ng pldt modem mo ung ax23..

can this be used to extend wifi from one home to another?
When you say extend, you are planning to use a lan cable then put this unit on the other house? That will work, because if you are planning this to use a repeater it wont work

Thanks. Your phone supports wifi 5, but router does wifi 6, so it could be even faster if you've got a device that supports wifi 6
@@Amowundyes, that is correct, the only issue is that i forgot to show the test on 5ghz network connection, which I am getting about double the speed. but still everything could have been better if i have a device that is already wifi 6 capable. Thanks for the input..

Sir I have AX53 and my plan is of 500Mbps, on 2.4Ghz I am getting 50-60Mbps and on 5Ghz I am getting 495Mbps why this happening?

Pwede po sa piso wifi, since pede syang as access point, malawak in terms of wall penetration, pero if open are range, mas maraming option na pagpipilian compare dito.. :)

Hi Gen, medyo mahirap nga, pero either of the two panalo, solid yan, mas mahal lang si tplink, pero wifi 6 na sya.. Ang downside lang is ung mga na mention ko na needs provement.. Kung wala ka naman balak I limit ung bandwidth ng mga devices at malaki bandwidth mo at afford naman si ax23, go with the ax23..

Hi, i have tried it for 1 week 24x7, with only 5 devices connected, it gets hot, but not to the point it overheats where it restarts or disconnect devices.. :)

both are great, but i will choose the ax53u since there is a firmware upgrade making it aimesh ready..

@@jmluab1913 the cheapest one that i know is the tenda ac23, it is the best router that i have tested for around 2k php/ 40$, then the second suggestion would be the asus ac59u v2, it has an average to good range. then if you want to go wifi 6 the asus ax53u, it has a very good range, i have a review of that router showing the range in an open area.. :)

Hi sir, d ko na test maximum unit, but for sure kaya nito at least 15 devices, na test ko lang nung nasa akin unit is 7 devices simultaneously and good naman sya no issue.

Hi, ung wall ang usually malaking problem sa mga wifi routers, depede sa wall constructrion, pero 1 wall like in the video or 1 floor okay naman sya.. pero remember pag lumalayo ka or may wall may humihina din sya..

Like PLDT is my main but if PLDT drops into a certain speed ma ti trigger the other back up ISP (ISP 2 has limited data allocation, only act as back up). Thanks! More power!
@@jiayjoe9480 unfortunately, wala ako ma recommend na consumer grade wifi router na may dualband na base sa speed para mag trigger ung ung another isp, asus products offer dualband pero failover and load balance, ung load balance din nila is hindi sa actual load, more of one it to one (una allocate sa 1st isp then second connection\traffic sa kabila naman and so on pero been testing it hindi ganun ka accurate ung load balance ung failover working naman)..
sa gusto mo na based sa speed para ma trigger, more of enterprise grade router need mo, and usually router lang sila need mo pa bumili ng separate access point for wireless. ( wala pang nag lend sa akin ng enterprise grade router kaya d ko ma suggest which is which).. :)
@@JKChavez Thanks boss! I guess the best course of action for me is to get another fibr na lang, instead of one ISP na limited ang data allocation. Para di ko na isipin yung mga fail over whatsoever ( ang technical haha) Basta, the point is both ISP can be maximized kapag parehas sila working and then pag nawalan ng connection ang isa, indi mapuputol ang devices na naka connect sa router. Last question though, given this case, will this ax23 give me what i need? Sayang gusto ko pa man din sana may bandwith control na din at this price range. Thank you!
For you Sir, What is most future proof or can handle more host TP-Link Archer AX23 (dual core CPU) or TP-Link Archer AX20 (quad core cpu)?
Hi sir, unfortunately i have not tested the ax20 yet, but if you are looking for performance with lots of configuration and feature a quad core CPU is better, but still remember, that cpu cores are for processing traffics, data encryption etc and does not equate to wider wifi range.. so i cant say if the wifi range of the AX20 is better than the ax23..
@@JKChavez yeah, thanks for the reply. Signal is no problem. Its just that we have heavy load users in our home and yet still using modem/router ISP provided. I can feel the bottleneck in our network
@@renatodiocales8083 Hopefully these two cores are much faster than quadcore in AX20. I did order AX23 myself and only now seen that it has 2cores...

Very poor details about the router's configuration itself! Not to mentioned that you didn't point-out about version of AX23.
There's only two hardware revisions (v1 and v1.20) which are identical
For the settings, tplink provides router configuration emulators on their support pages for the router
IMO it's a meh review because he actually shows it in action rather than just a speed test
would rather a dedicated bufferbloat test too but that's rare to find
a great review would include openwrt and all the things possible but of course that's a lot to ask

@@JKChavez Sir kasi po is 50mbps yung plan ko and minsan nag eexceed yung speed sa 50mbps, pero pag nag ddownload po ako ng file is yung peak download speed nya lang is 5mbps minsan hanggang 2mbps lang po.
@@naitsirhcram Hi sir, yung advertised po by internet service provider is Mbps (Megabits per seconds) while files being downloaded over the internet is categorized po by MB (Mega Bytes). kaya ang usual download mo lang po is 5MBps, 1MB=8Mbps po.
then may mga overhead to consider po, like mga ibang devices na connected, or mismo kay ISP na plus or minus 20 percent sa actual. kaya hindi or bihira mo makukuha ung max download speed na 6.25MB/s dowload speed..

sir bakit sakin same lang yung ping sa ml nung pldt modem/router pa gamit ko at nung tplink ax23 na ginamit ko? naramdama ko lang is mas stable lang yung connection kahit naka 5ghz across 2 rooms? device ko is mi 10t pro at wifi6 compatible naman. normal lang din po ba na yung wifi sa pldt ay active parin kahit nakakabit na ako sa tplink ax23? like may pldt 2.4 at 5ghz na wifi parin na makita sa wifi-assistant pero sa tplink na wifi ako nakaconnect so bale 4 yung wifi namin (2.4 and 5ghz pldt tsaka 2.4 and 5ghz tplink)
kung same lang po yung ping ng isp modem/router at ax23 router sa ml, nasa isp side na po yan. much better po use nyo lang yung wifi connections ng ax23 since nasabi nyo po na mas stable sya across rooms. yes po normal po yan yung may wifi pa rin kayong madedetect mula sa modem ng inyong isp.... para maka iwas po sa confusion at possible interference ng mga wifi channels, configure nyo po yung isp modem/router nyo at disable nyo lang po yung wifi antennas nito sa settings, para yung wifi connections nlng po ng ax23 router nyo yung madetect ang magamit nyo
@@radneypalacios1380 ok na po, ginawa ko is dinisable ko yung modem ng isp dun sa ipaddress na login, tapos yung ping ok na din after sa free upgrade ng pldt from 12mb/s, naging 50mb/s pero same payment 1699 yahoo
