"Crystal" is a song by the English rock band New Order. It is one of the band's fastest and most guitar-orientated singles.
    Lyrics
    We're like crystal
    (Hey)
    We break easy
    (Hoo)
    I'm a poor man
    (Hey)
    If you leave me
    (Hoo)
    I'm applauded
    (Hey)
    Then forgotten
    It was summer
    (Hey)
    Now it's autumn
    (Hoo)
I don't know what to say
    You don't care anyway
    I'm a man in a rage
    With a girl I betrayed
    Here comes love
    It's like honey
You can't buy it with money
You shook me to the core
You shook me to the core
    We're like crystal
    (Hey)
    It's not easy
    (Hoo)
    With your love
    (Hey)
    You could feed me
    (Hoo)
    Every man
    (Hey)
    And every woman
    (Hoo)
    Needs someone
    (Hey)
    So keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
I don't know what to say
    You don't care anyway
    I'm a man in a rage
    With a girl I betrayed
    Here comes love
    It's like honey
You can't buy it with money
    You're not alone anymore
You shook me to the core
You shook me to the core
I don't know what to say
    You don't care anyway
    I'm a man in a rage
    With a girl I betrayed
    Here comes love
    It's like honey
You can't buy it with money
    You're not alone anymore
You shook me to the core
You shook me to the core
You shook me to the core
You shook me to the core
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming

    Keep it coming

So true. I've been following them since 1980, when they were still Joy Division. One of the most influential bands ever, especially during the early 80s, but also later, like they did with Crystal, mainstreaming their sound and the whole genre to a broader audience, although they really never got the credit they deserved for it.

would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Ian Curtis was still alive. They were moving toward the electronic stuff right before he died. Would have been interesting, but maybe neither band would have been iconic if he survived his fate. Deep thoughts going on here hehehehehe

I'm not a huge New Order fan, but this hit the spot the very first time I heard it and it still does. That performance they did on Jools Holland was fantastic as well. I also loved that "Get The Message" track, by Sumner and Marr in their band Electronic.

i and several friends were in that same boat. They were afraid New Order would have spoiled when this album first came out. As the gopher willing to chance it I just took a blind chance and got the CD, they were skeptical of my glowing review and I said "no really, just listen." It isnt just this song. This album revived the indie scene and took it in a new direction that lead to bands like the Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Killers (of course, this figuratively birthed them) and the plethora of other early 00's alternative rock bands. It deserves far more credit than it got. Just as they influenced an entire era of synth rock and dnace back in the 80's and early 90's.

This is not the real intro. Listen to the album version, they cut the actual beautiful intro. It builds up with a female voice ad-libbing over a bed of atmospheric synths then the drums enter when the female singer hits the high note. It's even more cooler when they unleash the guitars and the bass after that prelude.

    I'm a poor man

    With your love
    You could feed me
    Every man
    And every woman
    Needs someone
    So keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
    Keep it coming
Keep it coming (keep it coming)
I don't know what to say

Very eerie that the young singer dances like New Orders original singer Ian Curtis, its like watching Joy Division( new orders first group ) in what they would have looked like in their youth of the time this vid came out! Even the guy on the side with the guitar ( white tshirt ) is like watching barney if he was a youth of todays times, even the lyrics to this song are very similar to Ian Curtis life story! Even the blonde lady looks similar to Ians mistress Aneke who the band were very familiar with.
