    Great video as always Cameron. I hold you personally responsible for rinsing my bank account the last few months. Off the back of your videos I’ve got a coral UES flannel, The Flat Head flannel (my ‘Donald Fisher’ shirt), and the Iron Heart 20th anniversary UHF. The guys at Rivet & Hide must love me. Also got a couple of Tezomeya T-Shirts. One of the best channels on here. Keep the great content coming…..

    I have the same flannel! It's my first UES and I'm amazed with the quality for the price. Very comparable to my Flat Head flannels for almost $100 less. I agree that the fit is great as well. I'll definitely be picking more UES in the future.

      That's good to hear Alec. It isn't just me. They are a sleeper brand. I'm not sure why they are so much more cheaper in comparison to some others.

    Thanks for talking about the short sleeves it's just like the Flat Head shirts. Short sleeves are actually amazing for real work so it doesn't snag on anything! I think that was TFH and UES's intentions with the design

    Couldnt agree more their products are so great! i love the mentality that they want us to use their products till we wear them out. they dont want to be in the wardrobe they want them worn. i do have a problem with the heavyweights they max out at 73 cm they arent as long as the 15.5 oz shirts which max out at 77. im 6'3 so the only ones that work are iron heart and ues super heavyweight.

    Great video review.
    I love UES flannels, so well made and a great fit . I’ve passed on a lot of great flannels because the sleeves are far too long. I think UES make great clothes, and the price is really good. I currently have 2 flannels from UES but looking to add another for the winter! 😅

    Looking for higher end flannels. Not a rider, so the extra sleeve length on Iron Heart would not benefit me. Never heard of Iron Heart until 2 yrs ago and hadn’t heard about UES flannels until this review! I love the look of the patterns, texture, and the price. Definitely will pick up at least 1 this season. Thanks for the info.

    Great to see a UES review! I was always curious about the brand but like yourself wasn’t a fan of the super colorful patterns. But currently waiting for my first item from the brand, ordered myself a grey loopwheeled hoodie, and seeing this review makes me even more excited to get it in the mail.

    Another great video! Like the fact that it is non-western with regular buttons.
    Could be cool to see some options with only one regular chest pocket, or none at all, for a more toned down look.

    got the pink/brown one, I am XL in Iron Heart and seeing that 3 in UES is good for you I ordered 4 and it is perfect size. Cotton is a bit coarser or stiffer than my flat head or IR flannels but I love it. For over 100$ less it is no brainer. I dont think flat head is a better value at all, and IR is maybe just a bit nicer in details. Tenue de Nimes Greg Indigo might still be my favourite flannel...

    Great review! I picked up a pink/green one from Redcast Heritage. SUPER happy with it. Sturdy, comfortable, and really soft on the inside. I've never been able to commit to the price tag on an Iron Heart flannel, but this was an awesome middle ground. Do I even need an IH flannel now? Probably not!

    • @CameronO

      IH are certainly worth a try one day, but you absolutely cannot go wrong sticking with UES. Nice one!

    Agree with the color selection from UES. They have stock photos on the website then sometimes show a model wearing one and I don’t like the pattern. Also earlier this year they did a preorder for flannels…I want to say in the spring for fall delivery

      Ahh i've always wanted to do their pre-order thing, but again the colours get me every time. I did order my t-shirts direct from them before and they send you some nice pins and stickers too.

    The length of the shirts in Heavy at 73 inches in xl is a little too short for anyone over 6’3 if you’re that tall I’d recommend a extra heavy from ues which is longer in length at around 77 inches .

    I got my first UES UH flannel and, I agree, it’s fantastic. It is beginning to cool down here in Brooklyn so I’m reaching for it often. That said, I also invested in an Iron Heart UHF - dare I say - it’s on another level.

      I really want the best flannel I can get. Iron Heart routinely is recommended at the top. You seem to feel the same way. This video concerned me a bit when he said the sleeve length is longer -- does that bother you about the Iron Heart (assuming you find it to be true as well) ?

    • @CameronO
      @CameronO  2 года назад +1

      Thanks mate. Agree somewhat. For really cold weather the UES won't cut it. You would certainly need the UHF with layers. but for that autumn/spring time these are great.. even as a throw over opened up on warmer days

    Is the neck opening extra wider than 3Sixteen or RGT? I like to wear flannels buttoned to the 2nd button. Do they form to your neck better as you wear them more?

    • @CameronO
      @CameronO  Год назад

      I don't have a flannel from RGT or 3sixteen so can't really compare. Though my older UES flannel has def conformed to my neck, it is thicker though. I do find they do stretch and conform though i do them all the way up usually.

      Not too long ago, I would have agreed with you. Couldn't see myself forking out that kind of money on a shirt, but I was dead wrong. Got the navy small check version and if I had to replace it, I would happily spend a good bit more to get it again. A really wonderful shirt and a perfect example of why "buy once, buy well" is the way to go if you can.
