I'm in the LOVE Paper piecing camp. Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I enjoy paper piecing for a change. I am taking a rest day from a road trip to ski in Colorado to watch the video and get the pattern. The cutting and sewing will have to wait until I'm back home from a week of playing in the snow with my grown kids. The trivet is very pretty!
I finally after watching this 7 times, yes 7, in past 3 months bought the pattern, oh I'm scared and happy at same time. Been quilting over 40 yrs new to this, let us pray lol Thank you.
I love the length of the video. You are a great teacher. I've seen paper piecing before, but just didn't do it. I think I'm ready now. Thank for taking so much time.
Lisa, I have been trying out some of the other videos for Quilting! I must say you are hands down a better teacher! Thank you for all you do ! I love your videos so much better than all the others!
wow, thank you so much!
This type and length of class/video is exactly what works for me. Thank you so much for doing this and I am going to give this paper piecing a try!
Lisa, I love this! It turned out so darling! I love getting perfect points and paper piecing is the only way I can be certain of getting that. What a great demonstration of using this method of piecing. Thank you for the free pattern. I will be making this one for sure! Great video!
You’re right. I did enjoy seeing how exactly how paper piecing really is done. Great video.
That is so cute. Thanks for the free pattern. I’m going to use mine as a little wall hanging. Great tutorial.
Lisa you are a treasure ❤
Enjoy tutorial, sometimes to get all we need to understand to takes time. Thanks for free project.
I love it! The possibilities are endless. Thank you!
Hello from Texas. Thank you for this cute pattern.
Thank you so much for your tutorials Lisa. You have an excellent clear and precise style of teaching and you provide amazing camera angles so we can see everything as we follow your process and instructions. I love the hacks too- so helpful . Thank you again - can’t wait to see what you come up with for Easter .
thank you so much!
I have watched your video twice. I enjoyed it and I have picked up information the second time I didn’t pick up the first time. Thank you very much for sharing your talent.
I'm gonna try this, probably have to re-watch quite a few times but I'm gonna give it a whirl. You are a great instructor, with very clear details! Thank you!
Thank you for the class Lisa. I've always been intimidated by paper piecing but by watching you do it step by step and going slow it seems very doable to me. In the near future I think I'm going to give it a try and we'll save your video. I can adopt your steps to a different pattern also because now I know what to cut and what not to
I absolutely love your channel. You explain the process of making things easy for me to understand. Thank you and God bless. Oh..I made the bread and it was great.
Thanks for sharing. I’m new at quilting and this was very helpful. definitely going make this. Never paper pieced before but love how accurate everything turned out. ❤❤❤❤
I watched the whole video and enjoyed every minute. This is the first paper piecing video I ever watched and understood. Thank you so much!
That would make a beautiful lap quilt.
Greetings from FL. This is the first time I have the pleasure of seeing one of your tutorials. I’m new at patchwork and quilting, therefore I’m lacking of the tools you all use. However, I do enjoy sewing thence I have the basic tools.
I want to thank you for giving us your time and knowledge. That is very thoughtful of you. I really enjoyed the paper piecing presentation. I’ll definitely work on achieving at lease a close facsimile of your project. Thank you so much. Blessings.
I think this video was just the right length of time.❤️ I really loved this tutorial. Thank you Lisa. I will definitely be trying this trivet. It will be my first attempt at FPP.
Good morning! Just now sitting down to watch your paper piecing tutorial. Had to laugh at your 3 reasons. I have tried many times but the final straw is that I gave up and appliquéd my quilt instead. But this old gal isn’t giving up. Trying again
Thanks Lisa for a early Valentine day project. I am trying to make a different project each month to send to family and a few friends. So this project fits right into my requirements, usable, quick and easy & hoping to use fabric currently have.
January: I did coasters set with appliqued Champaign glasses.
Snowy here in Colorado so a good day to spend in my sewing room and get these done, so they can be mailed in time to reach each person in time to surprise and for them to enjoy.
As always enjoy your tutorials and of course the free pattern you so generously gives us.
Awesome job of presenting this heart trivet. I enjoyed watching your method of fpp. I learn something different from each creator I follow. Video was not too long for me. Thanks for sharing your pattern. ❤😊
Great class Lisa. I do like paper piecing. Thank you for the pattern and video.
PS. Enjoy your program. It’s like sitting down with a good friend
Looks like something I can manage😊.
I always appreciate that you refresh my memory on different techniques. This time it’s paper piecing and self-binding. Thanks a bunch!
Thx for the time you put into being sure we understand how to actually make this pp happen! I cut out most of my pcs ystdy, & finished the rest of cutting tonight. The hearts were easy, lol Haven't completely finished, but am deciding if i will put one sashing piece (same fabric as border) across the middle betw'n the 4-patch). I'll sleep on it (my eyes are tired). Can't wait to get it all together. I did the girly colors this time, being almost Feb. I did your pp twice before...a candlestick, & a birdhouse. Both came out great! Thx again!! Your tutorial couldn't have been more thorough.❤️ Bless you/yours
Just stumbled across this tutorial … great quality and excellent instructions. Your pleasant personality comes across 🥰looking forward to seeing more!
Love the heart trivet !
I love the paper piecing and I am going to give this a try. Thanks Lisa, for the class tutorials. Stay warm and stay dry to all my classmates.
Happy Friday everyone! Hope y'all are well.
You make it so easy to follow your instruction.
I really love paper piecing.
I did a whole series with shabby fabrics last year. I'm hooked.
You definitely have a great talent. I don’t know anyone who is as complete when giving instruction. You cover it all even the little hacks. I went back and rewatched what I missed and really feel like it finally makes sense to me even this way. I think this would make a really cute baby blanket. Will know if we might be getting our first girl great grandchild in a couple weeks. Thanks for this trivet pattern.
Congrats on the new baby blessing 💜
Our 3rd "great grand" was born 3 days ago...brought back many memories. Enjoy her!!
I am making coasters for each holiday and those hearts are perfect! Thank Lisa, you are awesome as always 🥰
Thank you for your clear instructions and video😊
Oh thank you so much Lisa! I just don’t know how you do so much. I really want to try this but am again moving and at my age feel so exhausted. I’m hoping in my new home I can do this. ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous
looks like fun, Never did it before, Thanks so much,
Thank you Lisa x
Thanks for this Lisa! I think It may be time for me to try this technique.
Love it 🧡💛💚🩷 looking forward to the heart trivet video 😊
Another great project 🎉 thanks
Thank You for your Videos. I think I’ll enjoy paper piecing , but I just started a King Size Quilt ( I’ve never made such a large Quilt). So it’ll have to wait a while. This pattern would be easy to maybe fit in and rest from the King Size Quilt. Thanks again.
Thank you for the sharing of this patchwork sewing❤ looking forward for your tutorial. May I able to manage as I am a beginner in sewing. Will sew it for my niece's new born baby blanket. From, Malaysia 🇲🇾
Will be a very special gift! TFS
Thank you. I am going to give it a try...
I love FPP i make lots of quilts and stuff with this method
Love it !! Thank you
Beautiful
I think paper piecing helps avoid waviness from the bias sides (the way you might get with making the flying geese unit )
Very pretty ❤
I am in the fourth category. I really want to learn about it.
I am in the 3rd done is a few time did ok but my brain has trouble understanding it lol but done a snowman twice with paper piecing thank you
Looking forward to your tutorial 💜
Hi Lisa ....... First and foremost I truly love and learned so much from your show ....... please never stop, you're fantastic ...... now for my two questions 1. what kind of lipstick do you wear, it is perfect. I love the color and I like that it looks so nice on you ...... 2. Are you going to have a class on "THE CAT" ...... the one that is right over your shoulder ........ I also would like to know when doing paper piecing can you use fusible interfacing and then iron that on some fabric ...... I am still learning and also are you able to use a scan n cut, to cut several pieces of fabric for a quilt ........ I can't find any info on that ..... if you can, can you use the scan cut for quilting other than an Accuquilt ........ I will appreciate any and ALL info that you can help me with ........ Thank You and may God bless you for being YOU! Judy Olds
Hi Judy! Thank you so much :) Okay brace yourself......my lipstick came from the Dollar Tree!!!! hahahaa, no joking! The color is called "Nude"........what a deal right???? hahahahaa. And you are in luck, the cat block was done some time ago and I have a video for it, I'll link it here for you. I haven't tried paper piecing with fusible interfacing, but it sounds like it might just work. Here's the cat video: ruclips.net/user/live8vYWo8kB18M?si=grc_EAb8YzjG0WJK
Hi. My grandson asked me to do a photo of him and my late husband on his graduation sash. I was wondering if you could do a video on it because I’m in the dark how to do it. I watched other videos, but I’m iffy about it, I’d rather watch your video cause you explained everything throughout the tutorial.
Lisa, can I do two hearts and turn this into a mug rug or will it be too long? Thanks for sharing. Great tutorial. ❤
absolutely!! That would make it perfect for a coffee/tea mug to one side and a cookie treat on the other :)
I was unable to add my comment to the chat, not sure why. I am a subscriber to the channel and have marked thumbs up.
that's so weird, were you signed into your Google account at the time?? That may make a difference??
LISA WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO “flip the seams”?
Hey Tammy, this is what I mean: ruclips.net/video/3PiPWAW2194/видео.htmlsi=EA2o8AprxangxwB0
What is your little ruler with hearts called?
Hi Carolyn, that ruler is from Creative Grids :)
I lost the chat!
I think you do a very nice video but I can't see any advantage whatsoever to doing piecing this way, seems like a lot of mess and additional work and may be helpful if you can't sew a straight seam but I guess I just don't get it.
I can see your point :) Paper piecing takes away the need for very accurate cutting and sewing. For experienced quilters this may not be necessary for sure. For those who struggle in cutting, this method is a life saver! It also ensures that you don't need to set your machine to a very accurate 1/4" seam allowance.
I understand. Thanks@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead
❤ OMGoodness ❤ How very timely for your awesome tutorial is❣️ I've been wanting to learn how to Paper Piece 🧩 for quite some time. I actually have it done as "Learn Something New in 2024" Thank You so Much for sharing this. It actually looks doable for me ... a newbie😊🎉
I have
Perfect timing!! :)
