Oh I love you Lisa you make me so happy .The farm live is wonderful , as a senior I miss the farm .So hearing you makes me , remember the good times .
Again, I learn something new!!!!! Thank you so much Lisa!!!!
Hello Lisa this JOY quilt block is so cute. I like the mini fridge block with the clip magnet attached for display. Looking forward to seeing the Sue bonnet applique.
I loved your tutorial today. I have never really appliqued before. I found this very helpful. Thank you for sharing this today!
Lisa I love JOY,JOY,JOY
ALWAYS looking forward to your next creative project!!! THANK YOU 4 SHARING & PROVIDING SUCH INSPIRATIONAL DESIGNS!!!❤
That is so cute. I love the idea of a table runner. I always enjoy your tutorial's.
Cute project. I’m thinking placemats b/c we need some! Thanks for pretty design. Off topic: I’m hoping for some chicken pics or video. I’m fascinated by your chickens! Lol.
Super cute! Now I want a brownie dessert😊
Really cute. Makes a nice small decoration. I might have to make a couple for friends.
Hello again. Hope it's been a great week for you all in VA.
It's going much too fast in November! The summer drags by in the awful FL heat, then when Fall arrives, the days flee by. And alas, preparing for the holidays keeps too many of us indoors in this gorgeous weather.
Just wanted you to know I made another "JOY" applique gift. The first one was a mug rug, of sorts, to hang. Think i told you how horribly it came together, but somehow it did and I am thankful. I had cut the letter size down by about 25%, so i used the new size on a white sweatshirt for my daughter in law's mom, who lives with them. I really like it. I used a satin stitch around the letters (your placement on the mug rug, but separated the letters for the sweatshirt). And for the daughter in law, a cutout of the gingerbread "cookie" you did for last year's Christmas quilt. I had a very busy Christmas print with a black background on it, & I used some white puffy paint for the eyes, buttons, hands/feet, hair, etc. I did a white satin stitch around it. I also used permanent fusible to create the word "Sweet", which I placed in an arch over top of it, in a red sweatshirt. For both designs i used a tear-away stabilizer behind it. Thankful they both came out somewhat nice.
Thx, Lisa, for your patterns and inspiration. You're the SWEET BLESSING 💜 Hope you're all staying healthy. We're not feeling so strong these days. It's intermittent, it seems. Not sure, but RSV seems to have taken the world by storm. 😢
So beautiful! Can’t wait till next week for Sun Bonnet Sue 😍
Thx, Lisa!! Loving this applique design 💜 (& your kind words are precious to me).
I glued the placement pages together. Looking fwd to doing it. Had to cook a lot today.
You made me laugh so many X's during the premiere. I've been on "chicken duty" before...many, many moons ago. The rooster & I never get along. Dislike those creatures 😏 Thx for sharing the new way to avoid the binding (& closing up the "would-be" opening). May try it!
Your creative inspiration is always a huge blessing! Thx for your generosity with the patterns ❤️ Blessed weekend to ya. Hope the brownie satisfied 🥰
Sooo glad I found your channel. You are such an inspiration. I just got back to sewing ...home decor type things....I have a Cameo3 and thought I wasn't able to cut fabric because there was no rotary blade for that model...I heard you say your Brother had a knife...so I tried my Cameo 3. Yay!! It does cut fabric! I'll be making some mug rugs and fridge quilts...I intend to buy a couple of your designs on Etsy. Again I'm so happy to have discovered your channel...wonderful tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
You look so pretty, love this JOY block. Thank you for the template, ❤
This is adorable
A Pillow would be so cute also
I'll have to get the fall flowers one and put it on my Jean jacket
Thank you for 'joy'. Looking forward to sunbonnet sue xx
That is so cute and love the sneaky way you hid the opening! Another great option for appliqué! Thanks!
Thank you, Lisa! This is a sweet applique, and as you said, it´s a good beginner project for anyone who is just starting an applique journey.
Thank you for your Applique pattern. I truly love it. I thought your reference to "your girls" was so cute as well as the "free-range excursion"--funny and sweet.
Thanks Lisa been enjoying all this series. Thanks for your tips and tricks .
thanks again for a great quick gift or Christmas decoration always such useful ideas.
Hello, Lisa Capen! Nice that you are back live.😊
Autumn Sun Bonnet Sue sounds nice! I'll impatiently wait, but it'll still be hard! Never liked appliqué until I started watching you, Lisa Capen! Thanks for broadening my horizons!
I don't think Lisa is live just yet. It seems that she has on-going issues with her internet provider, so each week she produces a RUclips Premiere video which is available at our usual 'live' time.
live just yet.
@@efkay93it was prerecorded and then presented as a live. So Lisa was able to chat while the video was playing! Cool idea, huh?
I'm absolutely loving your Appliques! Thank you for your wonderful channel and all the goodies you bring! :)
It's beautiful Lisa. Until makes sense to me being English. But I have got used to 'through'. I just convert it to 'until'. Thank you. ❤
I love this!! Would be super fun on sweatshirt!
Thank you for another cute applique and process. ❤
Thanks Lisa I love this project and am too busy to make a runner this time so I love the idea of doing what you did and put it on my fridge.
I love it
Love this one Lisa! Cute and Quick Decor!
This is sooo cute
Love it thanks so much for sharing ❣️🪡✂️🌲
Love this fridge quilt!
Watching late 👋
I made it last week. I have your same machine & when listening to the video again I heard a bit of you saying you had an automatic button for the satin stitch but I had to go back & hear just exactly what you were saying. My husband was nearby and, always listening said, no you don't need to go back It's number five, number five is the satin stitch lol. I'm laughing again now. Even today, him knowing I was making some crafts for his sisters upcoming bdays, asked a question, Which fabric are you using for the bias binding? We have to find it. Surprises me, esp when at times, I tend to think he's clueless about my little projects. But he luvs luvs the mug rugs & these block patterns you do (he prints them out for me : ) and the recent "JOY" is no exception. He wants to clip it on the frig now (magnetic towel bar with movable clips), but I took it down saying we have to wait till ThxGvng 😁 Mine turned out fairly well. The satin stitch around the "O" worked beautifully but when I went to do it around the J and the Y, it didn't...was breaking up... thread broke several times. I was puzzled till I remembered I used a spray basting that I never use... I have a case of the clear glue sticks, as you instructed. So I'll know not to use that again for projects I'm sewing. But in spite of that it still came out fairly nice, And I stippled the white background (with much thread difficulty, yet somehow it wasn't a disaster in the end) hahaha
I love this design and I'd like to make another one and do better on it (but I always say that). Thx so much, Lisa!
I love how your hubby is always helping!
Love this! When using metallic thread, what thread do you use in your bobbin?
❤ forward to apologies again
Sorry I mean forward to do another applique with you.
Lisa I went to the applique file to see if I could some more as I am a total newbie at it but the site you posted was not a learning file it was just all the little project we have just been doing === if there a different file when you tell how to do the different curves etc??
How many hens do you have , I grew up with a rooster and a lot of hens. Nice Christmas mini quilt
Will have to search your site for the video on appliqué stitching on curves
I had totally forgotten to add the link! It's in the description box of this video now :)
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead found it! Got some great tips. Thank you
Lisa I making a table runner for a friend in CA. I would need a 6 blocks with borders. Would u be done late in November with all Christmas blocks?
Thanks
Hi Barbara, I'm not sure how many more Christmas blocks I will be doing at this point :)
Are using fusible or just non iron interfacing?
What can I use instead of a silicone mat? As I have none🥰
Lisa to make a table runner do I add inch border to separate the blocks?
if you cut your sashing at 1.5" that would look great to separate the blocks for a tablerunner.
Ok thanks lot lisa
Do you have a shop in Mathews?
Not a store front ♡ I run my business in my home.
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I am familiar with the area as I am in NN. Love your videos.
