Thanks! I appreciate your Videos. They help give confidence to people to want to try a job themselves. It’s really helpful and positive. I’ve got a 2006 650i and had bad misfires with cold start. Runs fine when the engine is warm and on initial start up ( first 15 secs). Pretty sure it’s down to these solenoids. I think they my be sticking when cold. I planned to replace them but i will give them a clean and see what happens! They are only about 90$ for 4 so I will not try too hard. Thanks for the share ;)
Life saver right here!
Thx
Very good info.
Thank you!!!! Solved my spitting* issues!!!!
I did this 2 weeks ago on my 528xi and it makes a big difference, I thought my transmission needed to be serviced but this took care of it. I do recommend you replace the vanos with news ones because theyre only like $120 for a pair,
Nice job, video
Do you have a picture of what the holes look like in the block where the solenoids sit? One of mine ( the top one ) has no back and you can see through it where as the lower one you can’t . Not sure if this is correct ? I have an active Vanos intake fault and solenoids seem ok. Thanks , love the videos
Men..thanks for your video. I have a 2006 330i. My sos is coming on and off. I look at some video and gone help. I used the fiber loop to by pass the satellite. And it's still not working. It coming on when it feel like it.

Good Evening . Thank you for this video, I have a 2006 BMW E90 316I. My Right Rear Door is locked - the lock is broken. I have opened the wallpaper, but from all the places I tried it does NOT open. What should I do? If I open the two door support hinges will I be able to open the door? It does NOT open at all. What should I do to open it?
Thank you.
thanks
I have a 318ti (2004) with the pilot EML on (power limitation), there is no energy in the valvetronic, what could it be?
Does this help a cold start misfire?

Yo buddy I drained my bmw 328i of trans fluid replaced the drain plug started pumping in the new fluid and only got 2 quarts in before it started pouring out the fill plug ad it was angled a little bit away from the drain plug tothe front of the car why
my question is, after how many km's should we do this or replace the Vanos?
100k miles
My 335i has 209k 🫣
@@brandondelgado825 have you replaced them at your miles or cleaned ?? And have you had issues with rough idling?
Gracias!
Can I use wd40
You explain everything really good and clear, but I’m still wondering where your weird accent comes from
So what is the problem this fixes? Symptoms?
This is what I want to know lol.as mine is missfireing changed the plugs and got told to do this first before getting a coil packs ?
when removing vanos does battery have to be disconnected?
It's always a good idea to disconnect the battery when working on your car
Would this cause the car to make a beeping noise. I've got the B48 430i engine and on a cold start, I keep hearing beeping noises like a sonar radar
doors probably not closed all the way
Is there Vanos in the Diesel variants?? i cant find anything about it...
There is not Vanos in the diesel engines
@@lustign yeah i guessed it right then. Thanks btw
Carburetor cleaner will do the cleaning job as well.
Be careful! A spark can turn that set up in to a bomb!!!
You can't really clean it right without disassembling. Otherwise it's very simple electro-mechanical device that only fail because of burnt oil particles accumulating in a narrow spot at the piston causing it to seize. Properly disassembling and cleaning it properly takes 10 minutes. The only trick is not to damage the metal shell (in which piston is moving) when trying to get it out.
let's see a video of it

Can you use brake cleaner as well?
Yes
Too many *ok* *ok* *ok*

Does that offend your special snowflake feelings! They say guys because that how they talk in the region they live in. Like how all brits say mate. STFU
