I like how your tutorials are clear and to the point! I love your quilt! It has the appearance of an old quilt possibly made by my grandmother. Keep up the good work!
Oh thank you!
When I made this quilt, I used the sections (usually discarded) at the beginning of the sewn jelly roll strips when you cut your first 60 degree piece, to fill in the edges, instead of cutting my whole end hexes, if that makes sense.
That does make sense and is a great idea!
Love the quilt and design. I’m definitely trying this one Thankyou. Great video by the way. 😊
Thank you! 😊
I started this quilt today. I got one jelly roll completed . Really love working with the 60 ruler, although I was afraid at first. I have never done anything other than squares and straight piecing. This is a really good pattern. Thank you!
Yay - so glad you are loving it!! When you're done, I'd love to see a photo of your version! If you're on Facebook - check out this group - facebook.com/groups/823574572081428
That is such a beautiful quilt. I saw it a couple of days ago on Pinterest and pinned it to my Quilting Hexie Board. So here it is a few days later and I'm cruising RUclips on a Sunday morning looking for easy to make quilts and I randomly see this video for the same quilt. It's destiny! Thank you for sharing this. It's such a stunning quilt.
Thanks so much!!
I love hexagons but have only ever done EPP. This is definitely on my 'to do' list especially as I can use up some of my Jelly rolls. Thank you for such a good demonstration, so clear.
You're so welcome! And this hexagon quilt will be done in a flash compared to your EPP! I love EPP hexagon quilts, but they certainly take a lot of time.
Hello! I hope you had a cheerful day! I just got the first chance to sit with my hand quilting and watch your video. I hope you have a carefree week ahead. Thank you for posting your video and sharing your time and talent.

Yay, so glad you like them!
Love the quilt & the shirt!!! I’m excited to get started on this soon
Thanks so much!
I started making this and it comes together quickly. Also cutting on a 60 degree angle feels more “secure” than a 45 degree angle as in a lot of quilt blocks as you’re not creating bias edges. I found however for me it was better to flip the fabric rather than the ruler so I’m always cutting from the wider base of the ruler and not the thin tip. I inevitably end up nicking the tip of my ruler with the rotary cutter if I try cutting that way. There isn’t a solid side to line the ruler up on if cutting from the tip end. Thanks great pattern and enjoying the process. 🙂
So glad to hear you are enjoying this one! It's one of my favorites :)
Beautiful and easy quilt. Thank you for sharing.

That open rotary cutter is terrifying.
Ha! I'm usually very good about closing them, but sometimes forget! Thankfully no injuries :)
Lovely! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
love the easy way to get this hexi look, should the jelly rolls be the same to get the quilt to turn out right or can they be different thanks for all your videos
Hi Karan - I think two different jelly rolls that have coordinating colors would be beautiful and extra scrappy looking!
Thank you so much for sharing this
You are so welcome!
Hi Amanda. Could you use the 10" half hexi ruler? Thanks. Love it!!!
Hi Heidi, I'm not familiar with that ruler, but if you are able to cut 60 degree triangles with it, then it will probably work.
I love this! Thank you!
Yay! Thanks!
love the quilt! I see me making this in the future! Love the shirt also! :)

This is a Krista Moser pattern. I wish you would have given her credit.
Hi there, I looked Krista Moser up and yes she does have a number of hexagon quilts, however none of them are quite like this (especially using jelly rolls). I promise I did not copy any of her work.
What pattern jelly roll did you use?
The jelly roll I used is called Frankie by Moda Fabrics.
