I'd have to say that I love all the quilts in this book. I have made pumpernickel 3 times so far. I have had 2 Cory Yoder Cozy up jelly rolls for a while and made 1 for a friend and 1for me with an added 8in border because I wanted my quilt to be much larger. Working on my 3rd now in maywood studios woolies flannel jelly roll also will have an 8 in added border because I love love big quilts. And it fits my bed better lol.
Loved this video for inspiration and all the quilts are beautiful. I'm a long time quilter and noticed that I gloss over 'beginner friendly' quilts at times. Videos such as this encourage me to rethink my opinions. I saw three I immediately loved. So, sent myself a note to rewatch tomorrow on my laptop instead of my phone. Thanks for all of your dedication and hard work.
I am not over complicate is the correct phrase. You try hard to cause no error or if an error shows up you can correct easily. I listen to you while sewing because I am not a fan of watching people sew but others do and I can accept that I am not the only person here. So I think you should do as you discussed recently with a different format each week. My favorite is new lines coming out and trunk shows. You and your team are great.
Thanks Kimberly - great way to figure out how to use my jelly rolls! One thing I do wish is that more designers would do like you do and offer multiple sizes of their designs. I know they want to make the best use of the roll, but my huge quilting days are over now that I am retired. Everything for me has to go on the wall or table!
Thank you. I wish the industry would make a 3.5 inch jelly roll. I bought the the It's Sew Emma 4" Square-in-a-Square to use with with the jelly roll and was disappointed the 2.5 was too small.
Good Morning Kimberly, I hope you’re feeling better today. OMG, thank you for this video as I have quite a stack of jelly rolls and I’ve been able to pick out some patterns I’d like to make from this video. ❤❤❤ Thanks again, 🥰 Chris
This was a great video. I think I have half of these patterns. The jelly and figs pattern I super love ❤. Looks hard but it isn’t. Very doable I think. Thanks again.
Oh this was pure gold. Thank you Kimberly. Now I'm off to order a few of these patterns so I can bust a few of my jelly rolls out of my stash and make some gifts. These were very pretty and I like the variety.
I use the art bin totes like Kimberly. But I also use sandwich bags that contain like sized cut squares that are labeled, so that if I leave my project for a while, I can come back and figure out where I left off and everything is still together.
Kimberly, thank you for another great video. I like that you showcased jelly rolls but, I am really surprised that you showed so many on point quilts especially since they are your least favorite quilts to make😄 I have made two on point quilts…never again. In the future I would love to see a video showing 10 Honey Bun quilts.
My favorite quilt notion is my laptop of course! I find that sewing while watching Kimberly helps to keep me motivated. I can also quickly look up items that I might need and add them to my cart! Thank you, Kimberly
Thank you for letting us take a look at some beautiful jelly roll quilts. I always by a little extra fabric besides the jelly roll to make sure that I have enough just in case the fabric something crazy after starching.
can you clarify what you mean by "each block uses one jelly roll" for the strip ribbons quilt? i cant imagine using a whole jelly roll for each block :O
Hello Borogerst! You will need one jelly roll for the entire quilt Strip Ribbons Quilt Pattern (Paper) - bit.ly/3FP1g3G plus additional background as listed on the second image of the product.
I love the concept but when I purchased one and made the jelly sticks with buttercup & slate (which I love) I ran into several strips quite warped and I lost yardage. Good thing I added one of the jolly bar too because I was enlarging the quilt. Just be careful with precuts.
Count me OUT! I drool over jelly rolls, too, with the beautifully coordinated fabrics. But I’ve had unfortunate experiences with them and with 10 and 5 inch squares. Biggest problem is when they aren’t true to size. Some top brands were neither 10 inch nor square. I kept thinking these were just oddities, but after about a half dozen times, I’m off precuts for good.
OOH I do have a stash of jelly rolls! I love all these quilts. I'm really loving the Flirty quilt you shared - do you know what that blue background fabric is? I love the way it looks with all the bright colors of zinnia!!!
Question…when using a jelly roll I know you can’t starch it because of size but do you still starch the rest of the fabric for the quilt? Love every single pattern ❤

Super, super, super video. I love Jelly Rolls, and I love quilts using precuts. Thank you, Kimberly. Fun video.

I love ♥️ everyone of them too

Hello Shelly! I believe the background is www.fatquartershop.com/bella-solids-harbor-yardage

I made this Jelly Weave quilt and what was cut off from the points made a long runner and 2 pillows!!
Can you tell me what background is used in the Flirty Quilt? Loved them all.🎉🎉🎉
Hello Sharon! I believe the background is www.fatquartershop.com/bella-solids-harbor-yardage
Patchwork Garden would look A-MAZ-ING in red, white, and blue!
Love all of these, especially Trifles!! What background is used in the quilt along side the Portsmouth jelly roll? Thanks!
Hello Jessica! The sku used is C12918-Cloud
Thank you!!
I'm about to start jelly roll twirl but that one didn't make your top 10! I'm really looking forward to it though.x
Question…when using a jelly roll I know you can’t starch it because of size but do you still starch the rest of the fabric for the quilt? Love every single pattern ❤
According to Kimberly, you CAN starch a jelly roll because it shrinks lengthwise, not widthwise.
@@julxie-quitting6741 thank you
You forgot the link for Doug Leko's Watermarks quilt. I have it on my list to purchase.
Thank you for letting us know! We fixed it.
❤️❤️❤️
If I had magic seeds I would grow endless food so no one would go to bed hungry.
